The Virtual Showroom’s AR feature

The Imex Virtual Showroom Experience is a very exciting tool for our Sales Team, our Partners and for their customers, to assist in bringing a bathroom design idea from concept to reality. When entering our virtual environment on any smart device, you will be able explore our stunning collection of Imex Elements products for 2022.

Initially, we are opening our doors to the main Elements Showroom which showcases carefully designed bays to represent each of our Elements ranges. But that’s not all... you will also see in each bay a portal which will take you through to a seperate room, where you will be able to view the whole product range.

Within our Virtual Showroom, you will also be able to find additional information about the products including images, technical line drawings, and a product QR code.

QR Code… what does this do?

You can scan the QR code using a seperate smart device camera; your phone/tablet will then display a 3D model of the product with a 360° view. You will see an ‘AR’ logo in the top right of this product image, click this ‘AR’ logo and the product will then be in your own room!

This is a truly exciting tool that we’ve been working hard to release to our Imex partners and our own team to assist everyone for 2022.

Your Virtual Showroom access We will also be able to help you embed the Imex Virtual Showroom on to your own website, or place a touch screen TV beside your Imex Displays. This tool will act as an extension to your current Imex displays.

The new Elements collection, which launched at KBB 2020, boasts eight ranges of beautiful furniture and ranges of product. They ooze quality; from the hand finished sanitaryware, WRAS approved cistern fittings, to meeting all European (CE) quality standards – which is why we are proud to offer a 25 year Guarantee with each ceramic product.

With Imex Ceramics you get more than a functional solution for your bathroom; each piece has been designed to fit with the demands of modern luxury living.

Thoughtful features such as quick release seat hinges – to allow easier cleaning – soft closing seat and drawer mechanisms, easy to clean glaze, and anti-bacterial surfaces set the range apart. All Imex cistern fittings are set at 6/3 litre flushing capacity, but with an eye on the environment, WCs with the Imex ‘Eco’ marque means you can use as little as 4/2.6 litres when flushing, without compromising the effectiveness of the flush.

Introducing...

For a number of years Imex has been distributed by a distribution business, and when the opportunity was presented to work directly for Imex, offering direct trading account to the UK Showrooms and Merchants, I was very interested in the opportunity.

I started at Imex as a Regional Business Development Manager, to understand the market and challenges throughout what was a tough year for everyone, and I was rewarded the job as UK Retail Sales Director in late October 2021.

James Wood UK Retail Sales Director What interested you in working for Imex Ceramics UK? I have always been passionate about two things in particular; 1. supporting independent retailers and merchants; 2. manufacturing product from design and raw material, to seeing it in a finished display within a showroom.

How did you come to work in the Bathroom industry?

20 years ago I was actually signed up to the Navy as a Submariner, but rather than being train bound to Plymouth to begin my career in the navy, I walked in to a busy corner Plumbing Shop called Temperate Heating in Chatham, Kent.

I like to see it more as a ‘Tea Boy’ job position, but I learnt so much from the team there and they gave me a solid foundation within this fantastic industry, that I am proud to be part of.

I then had a few years fitting bathrooms and went on to open my own cluster of family-run showrooms and shops with my parents, brother and friends.

Throughout this time I have been involved in managing a team of people within the bathroom industry and I love it!

What is your first task as Imex Ceramics’ UK Retail Sales Director?

I have lots of exciting plans already in motion and, as you’ve read, we have been working on the Virtual Showroom Experience, for our Imex partners and our sales team, which should see a huge benefit and will be extremely engaging. We can’t wait for you to be able to use it!

We are actively recruiting for Regional and Area Business Development Managers, as well as opening two showrooms and training facilities to host our partners. We are already planning for KBB 2022 and we are keen to meet our partners and show them our new Elements Collection.

We are being asked more frequently about ‘bidet toilets’ so we are happy that the Smart WC is well priced and has so many features.

Tell us a little about your business?

Bodywash first opened in 1987, in Ilford, but moved to Romford seven years ago.

We are a specialist bathroom and shower showroom catering for the mid- to high-end of the market How do you choose which products to specify and sell to your customers?

Bodywash have a hard-earned reputation for selling quality products and providing good customer service.

What are the most popular Imex product you sell?

Our best selling ranges are the Blade comfort height WCs and the Arco
