Ground-breaking international research ILWS researchers are partnering with the Xayaburi Power Company Ltd in Laos (XPCL) for a joint research project that will help determine the effectiveness of fish passages the company are installing as part of a multi-billion dollar hydro-power plant being built on the Lower Mekong River. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) workshop Ms Patricia Garcia, AO, National Program Manager UN Sustainable Development Goals, United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA) was an invited guest speaker at a one-day workshop to discuss how the Institute and its researchers can better engage with the SDGs.
