I am Ilaria and I am fresh graduated and motivated industrial product designer with experience in visual communication.
Design represents for me a vehicle to improve the world, identifying problems and solving them most simply and intelligently as possible.
Working hard to achieve my ambitions and increasing my knowledge does not frighten me, particularly in the field of design, since I want to pursue it as a career.
Sea is the scene of migratory flows undertaken each year by tens of thousands of women, men and children in search of salvation on board fatiscent boats. Sos Mediterranee is a volunteer organisation (VO) that has assumed a fundamental role in this scenario, rescuing human lifes crossing the Central Mediterranean route.
the president of the assosiation Alessandro Porro has initiated, to design a light buoy that can contribute to volunteers’ missions. RB20 is a path into a scenario that is reason of political opposition, in which the design world seems to struggle to intervene, due to the lack of marketing and social attention.

of a toroid. This structure is connected through a bridge to a cylinder. The circular structure has the function of containing inside a lithium battery that powers two LEDs. Through the unscrewing of the transparent PVA caps in which the LEDs are reflected, it is possible to extract the electronic part inside the cylinder, if necessary.
Jelly is a stool for indoor use, particularly, for limited spaces. For this reason, the seat is also designed as a surface for resting objects. In fact, the furniture consists of a round surface intended for seating while the container fixed on the legs is ideated to be a container. This product takes inspiration from the jellyfish shape, the totem animal that represents the cycles life. Jelly is practical to handle and suitable for any type of environment.
The stool is composed entirely in Inox AISI 304 and the sitting is constituted of 4 elements: one circular metal base, 2 legs (upper and lower legs) and a metal sheet. The final product allows the consumer to freely interpret the seat, giving the opportunity to arrange it as a container or sitting on it as a common use. The stool is the result of aesthetics and practicality to support the consumer in everyday life, simplifying spaces and habits.

Two sitter sofa for indoor.
Fanciullino is the result of the collaboration with the Südtirol company Rossin and the Free University of Bozen - Bolzano. The aim of the project was to design a seat that would add something extra to the consumer. In fact, the product in consideration is not merely a sofa but focuses on stimulating communication. The furniture is composed of two seats that are arranged so that people can be face to face. The seats are slightly slanted and not parallel as in normal sofas.
This peace of furniture is inspired form symposia and Roman banquets, in which ancient Greeks and Romans used to gahtering and having conversation about philosphy. Moreover, the name Fanciullino comes from the poetic vision of the poet Pascoli (1855-1912). The writer asserts that there is a child inside every individual, ready to emerge through the conversation on Fanciullino sofa. Merely by sitting on two cushions resting on a wooden support.
