Year One Visit to the Pre-Primary Playground

In Year One we have been wriEng recounts in class. We learnt that a recount is a piece of wriEng that retells an event that has already occurred. The children have been focusing on including events in sequenEal order and are beginning to experiment with using descripEve language in their wriEng.

Both Year One classes visited the Pre-Primary playground for an opportunity to play and explore.

We then returned to class where the children discussed what they saw and did.

Following this, they wrote a recount of our exciEng excursion to Pre-Primary.

It was a fun acEvity and the children wrote some amazing recounts.
