JESUS THE WAY “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

The wisdom of this world assumes that there are many ways to God, but that wisdom is foolishness to God and it is failing because it is not coherent with Gods word. The Word says: “… hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?” (1Corinthians 1:20). But there is a superior wisdom, it is called the ‘Wisdom of God’ and that is Christ (1 Corinthians 1:24). That Wisdom of God says “… I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me” (John14:6AMP). Man cannot decide “the way” to God, because God is Sovereign (supreme). God decides the Way! And He already has made a Way, ‘His Way’ to bring the unsaved out of darkness into His light. He loves you just the way you are and longs to have you as His child. He sent His only bego en Son Jesus into the world as a man, yet born of God in other to save mankind from sin. “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” (John 3:17). God sent His Son, not to condemn us, but to save us and give us Eternal life. But Jesus had to pay for this, so He died in your place and suffered the consequences of sin on your behalf (Romans 6:23). He died as your Subs tute and took away all your pains and sicknesses too. On the third day, God raised Him back to life! Today, anyone who receives Jesus becomes a child of God (John1:12). The Bible says: “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him...” (John 3:18 NLT).If you have not confessed Jesus the lord of your life - Today is your day! Open up your heart and receive the Savior, say this prayer out loud: Study: Acts 4:12; 2 Corinthians 5:17 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Levi cus 7-9 PROCLAIMATION: “O Lord God, I come to You, in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says: ‘…whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.’ I ask Jesus to come into my heart, and be the Lord of my life. I receive Eternal life into my spirit today and declare that I am saved and whole; I’m a child of God! Thank You Father.”Amen!

JESUS IS THE LIVING WORD “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only bego en of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 NKJV)

How I love to talk about this! Jesus Christ is the living Word; this Word is that which is full of Life, this Life is the life of God and He came to give us this same life (John 3:16). A patriarch beloved disciple John describes Jesus from a place of revela on: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life...” (John 1:1-4 KJV). The Word began the beginning and was in the beginning with God as a Person! That’s why in Genesis 1:26 God said-“… Let us make…” Someone was with God, that’s the Word and He is God! Boy! All of God is in the Word. The Word is the Creator of all things and Giver of life to all that was created. No wonder John says: “In him was life…” not in it but in Him, a Person, who? Jesus! For He was made man and lived here on earth so He could make us the children of God: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12NKJV). You are now a child of God, born of the seed of the living Word (1Peter1:23), with the Life and nature of God in you. Corrup on and decay is no longer a part of your life. It’s in the world, but not in you. You are just like Jesus, the living Word! God commanded the light to shine out of darkness with His Word, as His child today, you too can. Speak forth the Word and create the world you desire.

Study: 1 John 1:1; Hebrews 4:12; John1:14. BIBLE IN A YEAR: II Kings 1-5 PROCLAIMATION: I’m so grateful for the revela on of Jesus to me. I refuse to be a vic m of this world’s system. I’m a child of the Most High God and I declare that my life is full of God’s glory and I journey in a path of success. Amen.

JESUS THE BANNER OVER YOU “He brought me to the banque ng house, and his banner over me was love.” (Song of Solomon 2:4)

There is an exci ng story In Exodus 17, as Israel journeyed to the promise land, Amalek, came out and attacked them, so Moses gave orders to Joshua to gather an army and go fight them, while He would fight from the mountain top with the rod of God, which symbolized the Anointed Word. As Moses li ed up the rod, Israel discomfited Amalek, but when he brought it down, Amalek prevailed. So, Hur and Aaron supported Moses to stay his hand up, and Israel won a great victory. Moses then built an altar to God and called it Jehovah Nissi: the Lord our Banner (victory). The word ‘Banner’ means flag, standard, victory. Banners are never hidden; they are o en displayed in public for all to see. That Scripture is a revela on of God’s love towards you; it tells us how He won you with His love. “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us…hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)”(Ephesians 2:4-5). You know, Jesus hung on a cross in a public place for all to see how much God loves you; He is the Flag; the Victory; the Banner of God’s love over you. A banner also symbolizes standard, protec on. God relates with you on the basis of love, He loves you. He cares for you tenderly (1Peter5:7), and covers you with His protec on. Have no worries about today or tomorrow, it’s already handled! His victory is your victory. Now, you are in the banque ng hall, the table has been set, rejoice in Him, for His banner over you is love!!!

Study: Psalm 23:4-5; Psalm 27:1-3 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psalms 78-80 PROCLAIMATION: Glorious Father, your love for me is so great, it is higher than the highest Mountains, wider than the widest Oceans, deeper than the deepest Seas. I am so full of your loving kindness and I praise today, for causing all things to work together for my good, in Jesus Name. Amen.

JESUS THE SERVANT LEADER “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Mark10:45 NKJV)

What defines a leader is the quality of service he offers, not the quality of service he receives. Jesus is our perfect example of a true leader, He is the Servant Leader. He said: “…the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”His primary mo ve was to serve us, to meet our needs. Our greatest need was salva on, so He offered His life to save us. He did it for us, not for Himself. He had the love-mo ve. A servant leader influences others through service and example. He has the ability to see a need and meet the need. What mo vates him is the desire to see the problems of others solved, he is a problem solver. Jesus clearly said that He did not come to receive service, but to give service. Be driven with the desire to serve others. Jesus gave us a kingdom secret: “… whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister” (Verse 43). Your greatness is in the value of your service. When you improve in service, you increase in greatness. In John 13, we see Jesus serving His disciples in the humblest way, washing their feet, He said: “If I then your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example that ye should do as I have done to you” (Verse 14-15). Serve those around you in love, don’t be selfish. Focus on mee ng their need first and yours will be met. When you serve others, not only will God exalt you, but you’ll be a happier person and invaluable to your world!

Study: Romans12:10; 1 Peter5:5. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Proverbs 8-9 PROCLAIMATON: Thank you Father for anoin ng me with the Spirit of Understanding and gran ng me access to func on in these meless truths. I yield myself to your Word, to serve others in love. Thank you for improving my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

JESUS THE LAMB OF GOD “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their tes mony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revela on 12:11)

Shortly before the earthly ministry of Jesus took off, John the Bap st a man sent by God came preparing the way for the Master. Then one day Jesus showed up, the greater One he proclaimed would come. “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John1:29). Jesus is the Lamb of God that took away the sin of every man born into this world. He tasted death for every man as the payment for sin (Hebrews2:9). Today, no man is suffering for his sin, because the Lamb took all the suffering of sin upon Himself, because:”… the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”(Isaiah 53:6). So, you are guiltless. But people some mes suffer for making a wrong decision, but there is always a way out and hope if Christ is in you (Colossians 1:27). In Revela on 12:11, the Word describes us as “overcomers”. To overcome means to subdue, conquer, prevail in victory. You have subdued; conquered. But who have you conquered? The evil one and all that comes out against you. When did you conquer? When Jesus conquered. He conquered satan, sickness, sin, poverty and all evil, and gave us the victory. Now you are the victor, stand in that victory, let the word of God be on your lips, for you’ve got the victory!

STUDY: 1 John 4:4; Romans 8:37 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Ezekiel 19-24 PROCLAIMATION: I know who I am, I am the washed, I am the victorious, I am more than a conqueror. The victory of Christ is mine. Fear has been dispelled from my life. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world!

JESUS THE PRINCE OF SHALOM “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlas ng Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6).

Jesus is the Prince of Peace! The word Peace in Hebrew is “Shalom” which means welfare, wholeness, health, prosperity, rest, peace. So Jesus is the Prince (Giver) of Shalom. He has given you His Shalom (John 14: 27). That brings to mind the story of Jesus when He was in the ship asleep and there was a violent storm in the Sea. Awakened by His terrified disciples, He rose up, rebuked the winds and calmed the Sea. What a wonder He is! (Matthew 8:26). On another occasion, He sent off His disciples on a ship and went up a mountain to pray. When He was through, He decided to catch up with them on the high Sea. Guess what? He walked on the Sea to meet them. As He got nearer, they were frozen with fear and screamed out. They thought it was a ghost but Jesus called out saying: “…Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid” (Ma hew 14:27). When Peter recognized it was Jesus, he said Lord, if it is you,”…bid me come unto thee on the water.”(Verse 28). And Jesus said ‘Come’. With one word from the Master, Peter stepped on the water and began walking towards Jesus. The water sustained Peter in the same way it sustained Jesus. All that was required was one word from the Prince of Peace. “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”(Isaiah 26:3) As long as Peter stayed his mind on the Master, he walked on the waters. Jesus is the Word that sustained Peter on that water, if you’ll fix your gaze on the Word today, the Prince of Peace will keep you in Shalom Shalom, which is perfect peace!

STUDY: Philippians 4:7. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Luke 17-18 PROCLAIMATION: Thank you Jesus for being my Prince of Peace, thank you for giving me your peace. You are the same yesterday, today and forever. Therefore I fix my gaze on you and walk in perfect peace and prosperity. Amen.

BE DILIGENT, SET THE PACE! “Observe people who are good at their work—skilled workers are always in demand and admired; they don’t take a backseat to anyone.” (Proverbs 22:29 MSG).

God wants His children to be the pace-se ers. He told Israel that if they will obey Him, that He will make them the head and not the tail and they will tend upwards only (Deuteronomy 28:13). Today you are God’s child, the inheritor of the Father’s desire. You’ve been made the head and not the tail! Your place is not at the back seat any more, Jesus has made you a front-liner; you are now in the upward and forward life. God rewards diligence. There is a profit in every labor (Proverbs 14:23). You must employ diligence and skillfulness in all that you do. The diligent hands bear the rule, the lazy are always enslaved (Proverbs 12:24). Laziness is art of self-deceit, an excuse for the weak. The Bible says ‘buy up me, don’t delay…’ (Ephesians 5:16 Paraphrased). How? Iden fy your priori es and give them your best to them, rid yourself of the distrac ons and me-wasters. Learn to plan your day and keep to it! If you are good at what you do, people will always come seeking your help. Remember you are the first and last of your kind this world will ever see. What legacy would you love to leave on the sands of me? What would you be remembered for? If you fail with your life, it would only be because you ignored the instruc on of the Word. But failure is not your lot. You are a success. Let the first of you be the best of you this world would ever see. Rise up and set the pace!

STUDY: Ecclesiastes 9:10; 2Timothy 2:15 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Philippians 3-4 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Holy Spirit, thank you for awakening the greatness in me. I refuse to be at the back. I was made to shine, rule, dominate and set the pace. Therefore I take my place and work with diligence. Thank you Lord for prospering me at every step all the way in Jesus Name. Amen.

IMPROVE YOURSELF WITH KNOWLEDGE “It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm founda on; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beau ful draperies.” (Proverbs 24:3-4 MSG)

Every man is a product of what he knows. The Bible says that through wisdom is a house built and by understanding it is established (verse 3). Your life is like a house, and God lives in you (1Corinthians3:16). Your founda on goes deeper and stronger as you develop in understanding. Understanding is the percep on of truth and rela ng personally with that truth. When the Word comes to you, your ability to receive, comprehend and make it a part of your life gives you a founda on, that is understanding. That founda on gets deeper and solid every me you act on that truth. It makes you walk securely (Proverbs 3:23, Ma hew 7:24). It’s a good thing to have a solid stand, but progress is the character of the Christ-life. You are designed to shine brighter and brighter with each passing day (Proverbs 4:18). So how? Get more knowledge! Look here in Proverbs 24:5-“A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength”. It is good to be strong, but it is be er to increase in strength, by ge ng more knowledge. You improve yourself by increasing in the right knowledge. That beau ful house of your spirit is furnished with the increased knowledge of God. That means you’ve got to be studious and versa le. It’s not enough to listen to a teacher in a cell mee ng or classroom, you must go back and study, meditate on those same informa on you received un l they become yours. Then you expand yourself by ge ng more relevant knowledge in that field and applying them. If you give yourself to the Word, your profi ng will appear to every one. Improve yourself with excellent truths! STUDY: 1 Timothy 4:15; 2 Peter 3:18. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Levi cus 10-12 PROCLAIMATION: I refuse to live a stagnant life. I’m a star from God, made to shine brighter and brighter. I give myself to the understanding of the Word and I take the right steps to increase in the accurate knowledge of God and of the things He has called me to do now. Therefore, my progress is evident in Jesus Name. Amen.

STAND IN GRACE “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus…endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” (2 Timothy 2:1, 3)

Every good soldier is familiar with adversity. A soldier is always doing either of two things: training for war or figh ng in the war. The war is never a pleasure-able experience yet he is tough enough to withstand the pressure it brings. You are a soldier of Christ and God is training you daily and making you stronger to fulfill His will which is the salva on of the lost (2 Peter3:9). You are His soldier of love and must be ready to endure discomfort when necessary. There are mes when doing the right thing seems difficult but you are tough enough for such. You mustn’t compromise your standard, which is the Word. Stand firm in God’s ability. Understand that you have more than enough grace (divine energy) to handle any unfavorable circumstance. That’s why you can laugh even when it’s tough! It might have to do with inconveniencing yourself temporarily for a neighbor’s good or sacrificing your comfort for the gospel. For some it may be the simple challenge of going for a church service or class when the weather gets so cold. What ever it could be, as long as the primary mo ve of God’s love backs it up, then it’s worth the discomfort. “If thou faint in the days of adversity, thy strength is small” (Proverbs 24:10). Never back down, Christ is your strength. Learn to look inside, and pull out strength from within, prac ce talking the Word to yourself, encourage yourself like David. Charge up your spirit by speaking in other tongues. Remember, it is “…not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6). Take charge! STUDY: 1 Samuel 30:6; Isaiah 43:2; Philippians 4:13. BIBLE IN A YEAR: II Kings 6-10 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Father, thank you for supplying me with inner strength to deal with any circumstance that I face today, I draw strength from my union with you. I pray for those in trouble calling out to you, may your mercy abound towards them in Jesus Name. Amen.

BE GENTLE “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, a quiet mind, kind acts, well-doing, faith, Gentle behaviour, control over desires: against such there is no law.” (Gala ans 5:22-23 BBE).

In John 15, Jesus gives us a picture lesson, He said “I am the Vine, ye are the branches…” (verse5). As we know the Vine bears the branches and the branches bear the fruit. That means we are fruit-bearing part of the tree, we carry the beauty of the Vine. So Gala ans 5:22-23 refers to the fruit of the recreated (born-again) human spirit. If you are born again, you are in the Vine- Christ, the life of Christ flows through you and this fruit are all in your spirit. Therefore it’s your responsibility to draw the nutrients of the Word from the Vine and allow this fruit in you to develop to maturity and show up. This fruit is the character of Christ in you. It is a fruit of love. In John 13:34-35, Jesus says that we should love one another as He loved us, for by that will the world know they are His disciples. So, we now have the ability to love like Him because we share the same life. Love is pa ent and kind (1 Corinthians 13:4), it is gentle and not rude, this is the love-nature in you. Deal gently with people, never be impolite, even when they are. God values people. A gentle spirit is great strength under control. Don’t speak words to hurt or condemn, don’t be the judge, you are love. Let a gentle behavior be your disposi on, be profuse with kindness. Kind words don’t hurt, they bless and God has made you a blessing to the world. Plan to put a smile on some one’s face today, remember to appreciate someone who does you a good. As you do these, the character of Christ in you will develop and God will be glorified through you.

STUDY: Ma hew 5:16; Philippians 2:14-15; 2Timothy 2:24. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psalms 81-83 PROCLAIMATION: Precious Holy Spirit, I’m grateful for giving me the ability to love like Jesus. I yield myself to you today, help me to act in gentleness and kindness towards the people I meet, to see them as Jesus sees. Amen.

CELEBRATE GOODNEWS “But ye are a chosen genera on, a royal priesthood, an holy na on, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1Peter 2:9)

You are a chosen genera on, chosen by God and His genes are in you. You are royalty, royal by birth and you’re a priest by inheritance, a minister of mercy. Also, you are holy; set apart, sanc fied by the Holy One who lives in you, and you are peculiar, special; the first and the best! Wow, what a marvel you are.Do you know God celebrates you? He rejoices over you with joy (Zephaniah3:17). He threw a party in heaven the day you received Christ (Luke 15:10). You are good news to God. The only reason some people mock you is because they are small and they think you are like them, but no. A big God produces big children, you are like your heavenly Father, you are big; you are strong and well able. God has called you to show forth His praises in the earth. The word ‘Shew forth’ is from the Greek ‘Exaggello ‘. It means ‘to publish; announce; celebrate’. You are called to celebrate, announce, publish the Good News of God’s love, His praises. When you are celebra ng an occasion, you announce it, publish it, invite people to come and you rejoice all the way. The Gospel must not be hidden. You are the publisher! The good news is that Eternal life is now available to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. So guess what? It’s party me, a celebra on of His love! Be big for the Gospel and spread it. Sow precious seeds to help preach it, share tracts, tell others what God has done for you. Invite someone for a gospel mee ng, intercede, be the good news to others. You can even sow free copies of Treasures of Life to the neighbor next door. Don’t lock up, let it out, it’s our me to celebrate Jesus!

JESUS THE HIGH PRIEST “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus.” (Hebrews 3:1 NKJV).

Jesus Christ is the Apostle and High Priest of our Confession. First, He came as the Lamb of God which took away the sin of the world (John1:29), with His blood He purchased our redemp on (freedom) (Colossians 1:14). Then as our High Priest He went into the heavenly Tabernacle and there presented His blood as the sacrifice, which atones for all our sins. Thus He obtained eternal freedom for us. “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemp on for us.” (Hebrews 9:12). The Old Testament High Priest had to enter in once every year to make sacrifice for Israel’s sins, but Jesus entered in once and forever, because His was the perfect and final sacrifice. So, He fulfilled the Old Testament, and ini ated a new one. In this New Testament, He stands as the Apostle (Pioneer) and as our High Priest, who receives our sacrifices. This me it is not a sacrifice of blood but the sacrifice of praise to God and giving of thanks to His Name (confession), that means declaring what His word says about us (Hebrews13:15). We are priests unto God (1Peter2:9), our sacrifices are the calves of our lips which is our praises to Him (Hosea 14:2). Remember Jesus is the High Priest of our confession, when you declare what the Word says about you, you are offering the sacrifice of praise to God through your High Priest Jesus Christ. Let’s do so now!

STUDY: Hebrews 10:23 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Ezekiel 25-30 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Father in Jesus Name, I adore you, you are God Almighty, the Strong and Mighty One. You are my Source. You are the Greater One in me. Thank you for making me your glory. Amen.

YOUR PRAYER GETS RESULTS “Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results.” (James 5:16 TLB).

Prayer is fellowshipping with God, and through this means we obtain wonderful results. You are ordained to receive answers when you pray, for you are the righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21). The earnest prayer is that fervent, hear elt prayer that births the desired change. It never gives up un l it gets the result. That’s why it is called “Effectual” because it always works. In such prayer, you turn off the distrac ons and fix your eyes on the Lord. Elijah ended a three year famine on earth by praying earnestly. A hear elt desire proceeds from your spirit. God’s power resides there (Acts1:8), and it is released through prayer. So, a hear elt prayer makes power available to cause changes. The Bible says: “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth...” (1Corinthians 14:14). God is a Spirit (John4:24). You are a spirit too, but you have a soul and live in a body. When you pray in the spirit, God fellowships with the real you, your spirit man, not your mind. When you speak in other tongues, you speak God’s language of faith. Then, things begin to happen, ideas come, changes are effected, Angels are dispatched to work for you. The Bible says that we must bear one another’s burden (Gala ans 6:2). There are believers in certain places who daily are persecuted for their faith in Christ; there are some on hospital beds crying out for healing. Right now, let’s pray earnestly that the mercy and grace of God will reach out and bring them healing, deliverance and help. God will move through your prayers today!

STUDY: Zechariah 4:6. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Luke 19-20 PROCLAIMATION: Precious Father, the Rock of our salvaon I ask that you send forth help and strong deliverance to all that are in need, calling on you. May healing be released for the sick, courage for the persecuted, succor for the needy and salva on for the lost in Jesus Name. Amen.

JESUS THE FIRST BORN FROM THE DEAD “And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood” (Revela on 1:5 NKJV).

Jesus Christ is the First bego en of the dead, the first born from the dead. This refers to spiritual death not physical death. He wasn’t the first to be raised to life from physical death, as He himself had raised some people during His earthly ministry, but He is the first to be raised to life from spiritual death. Spiritual death means separa on from God. While on the cross He cried out: “…My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34). Did the Father forsake Jesus? Jesus became sin because our sins were laid on Him (2Corinthians 5:21). And the eyes of God are too holy to behold iniquity (Habakkuk 1:13), so the Father forsook Him on that cross, so we could become acceptable in God’s sight. He was judged for our sins and went to hell, because He was our subs tute. In hell our Lord Jesus defeated satan, got back the keys of hell and death (Revela on 1:18) from him and set the cap ves free (Hebrews 2:14-15). Then on the third day was raised back to life. He was not raised with sin, no! He had defeated the father of sin. He was raised with a new life, the life of righteousness. Before now, no one had ever been raised with this life, Jesus was the first, and thus He is called the First born from the dead. If He is the First born, there must be others, that’s us; we too have been raised from the dead like Jesus! When you received Christ, you were born again, you were born from the dead, no longer separated from God, you are one with Him. The resurrec on life of Christ is at work in you!

STUDY: Romans 8:11; Colossians 1:15, 2 Corinthians 5:2 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Colossians 1-2 PROCLAIMATION: The Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead lives in me. That same Spirit has vitalized my body. Therefore, sickness and death has no part in me; the resurrec on life of Christ is at work in me. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

JESUS THE AUTHOR AND PERFECTER “Looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of [our] faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2 ASV)

Say this these words aloud in faith: “I am what God says I am, I have what God says I have, I can do what God says I can do.” The scripture is replete with men and women who did great things through faith. Even worlds were created by the faith of God. Deeds of faith never die. They keep talking even a er the doers have le . Faith is believing what God says and ac ng that way. The Word is the source and founda on of faith (Romans10:17). Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is the Beginning of your Faith, because He is the Word of GodPersonified. That’s why John the beloved disciple said: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John1:1). So, the Word was in the beginning, actually, the Word is the Author of the beginning, it started the beginning! This takes us to Hebrews 11:3-“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word (Rhema) of God…” Rhema is the spoken word. The wri en word is called ‘Logos’. God used His Rhema to frame (repair) the world, that’s why He spoke: “Let there be”! He released Rhema. You can frame your life with the Rhema of God on your lips. The spoken Word is the Author of faith-works. Whatsoever the Word begins, it completes and perfects. Jesus is the Finisher of your faith. That’s why: “being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it un l the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6ASV). All the glorious things that God has begun in your life, I declare He will perfect and bring to a comple on in Jesus Name. Cheer up, the Word works!

STUDY: Joshua 1:9; Haggai 2:4. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Levi cus 13-15 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Lord, thank you for all the glorious things you’ve begun in me. Today, I see myself making progress, moving forward, and comple ng my course excellently. For you have perfected your good works in me. Hallelujah!

JESUS THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” (Malachi 4:2)

Jesus Christ is the Sun of Righteousness. In chapter 4:16, Malachi prophesies the coming of the Messiah. He said that His coming will be preceded by that of Elijah (verse 5) who will prepare the way, whom Jesus tes fied to be John the Bap st (Ma hew 11:13-14). In Genesis 1:16-“Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.”(NKJV). The greater light as we know is the Sun, while the lesser light is the moon. The moon reflects the light it gets from the Sun, the Sun is the major source of light. In James 1:17: “Every good gi and every perfect gi is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. I’ve always loved this verse! God is the Father (Source) of lights, from Him every good, beneficial and perfect gi s comes. He is not the source of darkness. There is no shadow of turning with Him: He doesn’t give and take (Romans11:29). When you hear of bad news or natural disasters, that is not the act of God. God is good and does only good things. If God is the Father of lights, His children must be light. If you are a child of God, then you are the light of the world, in you is no darkness. The Sun is the Source of light, and light stands for righteousness, truth. Jesus the Sun (source) of Righteousness has made us the righteousness of God. And through us the work of righteousness is spreading all over the earth! Praise the Lord!!!

STUDY: Ephesians 5:14 BIBLE IN A YEAR: II Kings 11-15 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Father, you are the Father of lights, the Source of Righteousness. Thank you for every good and perfect gi you’ve blessed me with. I am so blessed because you have blessed me and made me the light. I declare that this na on is covered with the glory of God as the waters cover the seas in Jesus Name. Amen.

JESUS THE LAST ADAM “And so it is said, The first man Adam was a living soul. The last Adam is a life-giving spirit.” (1 Corinthians 15:45 BBE).

Jesus is the Second and the Last Adam. The First Adam was the first man created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27), that man is a living soul. He is the progenitor of the human race. He had God’s authority on earth. Through disobedience, he sold out to the devil, making satan his master, transferred that authority to the evil one and satan became the god of this age. A er his fall, God prophesied the coming of a Second Adam who will defeat satan (Genesis 3:15). That Second Adam is Jesus. Our opening verse shows His superiority over the first Adam. Every unsaved man takes a er the first Adam and every born again saint takes a er the Second Adam Jesus. Every unbeliever is a living soul like the first Adam, a soul wai ng to be saved. But Jesus the last Adam is a Life-giving Spirit, the Life-Giver, guess who we are? We are life-givers too, just like Him. Then verse 46 says we are spiritual like Jesus, that is, not of flesh, but born of the spirit. Verse 47 tells that we are not earthy; not subject to satan, we are heavenly, just like Jesus the Lord from Heaven. We have come from a superior Kingdom. The 48th and 49th verses summarize it, we are heavenly, recreated in the likeness of Christ. If you are born a er Christ, how could you inherit a disease? There is no diabetes in our pedigree, no sickness in our family tree! No poverty or failure in lineage!! Jesus defeated satan and gave us the victory. You are born of God and have overcome them because greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world!!! STUDY: Obadiah 1:21; Ephesians 2:10. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psalms 84-86 PROCLAIMATION: Jesus is Lord of my spirit, soul and body. Sickness has no place in my body; failure has no part in me. I am of God and the life of Christ is at work in me. I’m a victor. I’m a life-giver, I’m a blessing! Praise God!!!

JESUS THE SOON COMING KING! “And the very God of peace sanc fy you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)

This is one of the Apostle Paul’s early Epistles (le ers) wri en to comfort the saints. Today, this is God’s le er to you, reminding us of the coming of the Lord, meaning we have limited me on earth to fulfill our divine purpose. So we need to redeem the me. We need to treat with urgency the necessity of spreading the Gospel. When Jesus came the first me, He came to give salvaon, but soon He is coming again, to take His saints home, what believers call “The Rapture”, that means catching away, we will be caught up with Jesus in the clouds, in a twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:52). The saints that slept in Christ (died), will rise at the sound of the trump, and we who are alive will be caught up in the clouds with them (1Thessalonians 4:16-7). But before then, God is wai ng for the lost, for the many who are in darkness to hear this glorious Gospel of Christ, for He wants all men to come to salva on (2Peter 3:9). God’s desire is that we would grow in knowledge and wax greater in doing His will (Ephesians 5:27). Jesus is coming to take home a glorious church, without spot or wrinkle. Not a mid, oppressed, sin-conscious, church but a body of believers that know who they really are; shining in the righteousness of God and conquering territories for Christ, that’s us! We are the church of Christ, His body, you are His member. Therefore, Arise, shine!

STUDY: 2Timothy 4:2 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Proverbs 11-12 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Father, the Lord of Harvest, I thank you for making me a bold witness for you. Guide me in bringing this Gospel to those whose heart you’ve prepared for salva on in Jesus Name. Amen.

IMITATE GOD “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Ephesians 5:1-2 RSV)

The Word reveals who God is. To love God is to know Him, to know Him is to imitate Him. You are the reflecon of God, every me God takes a look at you, He sees Himself. Whenever you speak or act the Word, God is revealed to the world. You are the icon of God on earth, that’s why He says: “Imitate Me”. A lion roars because that’s its nature. The life and nature of your heavenly Father is in you. The ability to func on like Him is within your being. Love is the nature of God. The Scripture says: “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”(1 John 4:8). God is love! That’s why He forgave us all our sin and His mercies are new every morning. He is loving, pa ent and kind. He keeps no record of your faults, He always believes the best about you. His love is independent of your ac ons, it’s constant. What a great God He is! His love nature is now in you (Romans5:5). That’s why you must forgive those who offend you. When you refuse to forgive, bi erness takes a hold of your spirit and hinders the power of God in your life. Never stay angry or bi er at anyone. Always forgive even if they weren’t polite to apologize. Then be kind towards them. Forgiveness is not a feeling; it is an act of love based on faith. Remember you are a child of God, an imitator of God, act like you heavenly Father. Let the compassion of God flow through you. Forgive!

STUDY: Ephesians 4:31-32. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Ezekiel 31-36 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Father in Jesus Name, I thank you for your rich love and kindness towards me. I choose to imitate you in all I do and say. I choose to always forgive when offended, because your love nature is in me. Amen.

REJOICE IN THE LORD! “Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send por ons unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

Joy is a fruit of the recreated human spirit (Gala ans5:22), an ingredient of the God-life. “The joy of the LORD” denotes that it proceeds from God, not from things. A new car doesn’t bring joy, it brings happiness. But Joy is spiritual, a virtue that comes only from the Lord. It’s always independent of circumstances, that’s why you can rejoice at all mes. The joy of the Lord resides in you; it came in when you received Christ and is now the character of your life. So, you can rejoice at any me. Joy brings laughter; it shows forth with smiles, it is always radiant and cheerful. The Word says: “A joyful heart promoteth healing; but a broken spirit drieth up the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22 DBY). Joy is good medicine to the body, bringing healing and wholeness. Let your heart be always full of joy. A sad spirit draws near to death. Refuse to be down. Be up and going! The Bible says: “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say rejoice!” (Philippians4:4 NKJV). Why? Because “…with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salva on” (Isaiah 12:3). God has surrounded you with blessing, but the access code is J O Y. The Joy of the Lord is your strength. When you increase your joy, your strength increases. As long as Hannah kept a sad countenance, nothing changed. But when Eli the prophet told her not to worry that her request is granted, she changed her a tude (1Samuel 1:18). She took off the garment of gloom and put on the garment of praise, then, tes monies followed shortly. It’s me for you to rejoice too: “… weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”(Psalm 30:5). This is your morning! STUDY: Psalm 95:1; Proverbs 15:23. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Luke 21-22 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Father, I worship you today with my all of heart, for your goodness and kindness runs over in my life. Today, my mouth is filled with laughter and my heart with great joy. For all I see is you, your beauty and your splendor. O Lord be praised for you have done gloriously!

JESUS THE KING OF KINGS “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name wri en, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revela on 19:16) Jesus is the King of Kings. Revela on 17:14 says: “… for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings…” Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. The term “King of kings” was o en used to denote a King who has won several victories over other kingdoms and now has the allegiance of those kings and their various kingdoms. In regards to our Lord Jesus, it describes Him as the One who defeated satan, the evil one and has set the cap ves free, and now reigns supreme over all. A er obtaining victory for us, God raised Christ up from the dead and set Him at His own right hand: “… he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named…” (Ephesians 1:20-21). The right hand of God refers to all of His Authority and dominion, through which He carries out His plans. God the Father has transferred His authority to Christ and crowned Him the King of kings. But who are the other kings? “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father...” (Revela on 1:6). Jesus made us kings, so we are kings together with Him, and He is the King of kings. “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). When God raised Christ from the dead, He also raised us up, because we were in Him. Right now, we are seated at the Father’s right hand in Christ. That means we are in authority, we are reigning with King Jesus our Lord. Therefore stand strong in this grace! STUDY: Colossians 3:1; Romans 5:17. BIBLE IN A YEAR: Colossians 3-4 PROCLAIMATION: I’ve been raised together with Christ, now I’m seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, far above all principality and power, far above all failure and lack, far above all sickness and disease, far above satan and sin. The devil is defeated and he is under my feet. I reign as a king with King Jesus! Hallelujah!!!

JESUS THE LORD “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

According to the Scripture above, salva on from Christ comes through believing in the resurrec on of Jesus and confessing his Lordship over your life. When you got saved, Jesus became Lord of your spirit, soul and body; He is Lord of your life. He not only was your Savior, but Lord. Why? Because before your salva on, you were a slave to satan, he was your lord. But a er receiving Christ, there was change, Jesus became your Lord. The word Lord means master, ruler, owner. Some people want to have Jesus as Savior, but not as Lord. But that’s not possible. To accept salva on from Christ means you accept that He died in your place and now you must live for Him and Him only! God is not like the devil, the evil master, He’s a good and loving Master who has your best interest at heart. Jesus said to His disciples “Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.”(John 13:13-14). If Jesus is your Master, then you are obliged to do what He tells you to do. His words are your final authority. Also as Lord, He owns you, in 1Corinthians 6:19-20, the Bible says: “...know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost…ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” You totally belong to God, He bought you, He’s your Owner. Yield yourself to the Lordship of His Word, let the Word be the authority of your life, and you will enjoy the Lordship of Jesus!

STUDY: Gala ans 2:20; Philippians 1:21 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Levi cus 16-18 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Lord Jesus, I affirm your Lordship over my spirit, soul and body. You alone are my Master and Owner. I submit myself to the authority of your Word and I live in your Name all my days on earth. Have your way in me dear Lord. Amen.

BE GRATEFUL! “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” (Colossians 3:17).

Gra tude is the seed for more. You increase your receiving by increasing your thanksgiving. Every me you say “Thank you” with a smile, it means you value the kind act of that person and that posi ons you to receive again. You don’t qualify to receive more if you don’t express gra tude for what you have received. Anybody who hears “thank you” is always blessed. Saying thank you doesn’t mean you need more, but it does means that you value that person, and this gets God’s a en on. God values people greatly and Angels of God respond quickly to people who act with a kind gesture and grateful heart. That’s why God sent an Angel to Cornelius, a man who expressed gra tude with godliness (Acts10). Even God decided to visit Abraham, a grateful man, (Genesis 18). You can encourage the ministry of Angels in your life by being grateful. A person who is grateful to receive is always ready to give. But the ungrateful is mean and proud. He lacks the wisdom to say “thank you” because he thinks it is weakness to do so, and that is devilish. But you are different! Prac ce politeness; never get too familiar with someone that you forget to express gra tude. Express gra tude by your words, acts of hospitality, even through gi s. Prac ce the life of love. Remember to appreciate somebody today; put a smile on another’s face, let him have a reason to say “Thank you Jesus”. Most of all learn to thank God profusely, remember His favors and goodness towards you. Let’s do so now!

STUDY: Ephesians 5:20 BIBLE IN A YEAR: II Kings 16-20 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Father, you are the Source of my every blessing, I thank you today for all that you have done for me. Thank you for my salva on; for your protecon; for provision; for your favor upon me. I’m so favored because of you and I give you praise for all you are doing in me in Jesus Name. Amen.

RESIST THE DEVIL “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

Why should you resist the devil? To resist means to oppose; stand against. The Word doesn’t say, “God will resist the devil for you”, but it says “you resist him”. That certainly means you can and must. Give him no place in your life! It is certain that he will flee when you resist him, for he can’t withstand you. The reason you must resist the evil one is because he is a thief. He stole the glory from the first Adam, but Jesus defeated him for us, got the authority and put us in charge. But how did satan steal from Adam? By making him resist the authority of God’s word. Whenever you resist the word or rebel against the authori es put over you by God, you are ac ng like the first Adam, a slave of satan. So, God tells us how to resist the devil: “Submit yourselves therefore to God”. That on its own is resistance to the evil one-Submi ng to God. But how can we submit to God? First by coming under the authority of His wri en word, do what the Word says! Also, by obeying the Voice or witness of the Holy Spirit in you, which always agrees with the wri en word. Finally, you submit to God by yielding yourself to a spiritual authority that refers to person(s) who He’s given you to guide you in His will. When you resist any of these, you resist God. Be wise, draw near to God and He will draw near to you (Verse 8). Humble yourself in His sight, by submi ng to His word and He will li you up (Verse 10). Resist the devil and move higher in your life!

STUDY: Luke 4:1-14 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psalms 87-89 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Holy Spirit, thank you for bringing these precious truths to my understanding. I refuse to be rebellious. I’m an obedient child of God, a doer of the Word. Therefore, I resist the devil in Jesus Name. Amen.

SHUN MUNDANITY, BE GODLY! “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (1 John 2:15)

This world has a system that contradicts the Word, because it is ruled by the evil one. That explains the chaos, economic downturn, wars and injus ce, selfishness and evil of all kind. But Christ has already delivered us from this evil age (Gala ans1:4), so you can’t be a vic m of the world. He says to us: “…ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world…” (John 15:19). Now you belong in God’s Kingdom. Today, you are the Ambassador of Christ on earth (2 Corinthians5:20), God is carrying out His will through you. He doesn’t want you to get ed up in worldly affairs, but He wants you to speak and act on His behalf in the world. Let your primary focus be the advancement of the gospel. This world is headed for destruc on don’t join in like Lot’s wife (Genesis 19:26), you are not one of them, you have been called out to bless them. Let your manner of life reflect your na onal origin (Zion). For the Ambassador of China to Russia will live as a Chinese in Russia. You are of God and glorious things are spoken of you (Psalms 87:3). Everything in this world will one day pass away with those a ached to them. But we will abide forever (verse 16-17), for we are born of the Word and are doers of His will. That’s why you must be godly, and live with reverence of the things of God. Never join the ignorant in mocking spiritual things, they lack understanding. Be a doer of the Word, go for your church services, it’s important (Hebrews 10:25). Live in the fear of God and be His Ambassador always!

STUDY: 1 John4:4 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Proverbs 13 PROCLAIMATION: I am not of this world, I am born of God, I hail from God’s kingdom. I’m a child of Righteousness, the greater One lives in me, and His will is at work through me. Glory to God!

JESUS YOUR FIRST LOVE “We love him, because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)

Jesus is your First Love. He loved you first before you ever knew Him. He came to earth because of His love for you. Yes, He is the Love of God personified; the Embodiment of Agape: the God-kind of love. You are the object of His love, He found you and made you the apple of His eye (Deuteronomy 32:10). Now, you love Him because He first loved you, His love for you poured into you ‘the love’ to love Him with. God desires your personal love and affec on. Also, He desires that we love one another (verses 20-21). In Revela on 2:1, Jesus gives a message to the Church in Ephesus. He commends them for their great works and service in the kingdom, but He corrects them of something most important to Him, He says: “But I have this against you, that you are turned away from your first love. (Verse 4 BBE)” Then He con nues: “Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works…” (Verse 5). Your first love: that deep seated affec on for Jesus and believers that was born in your heart the day you got saved, that yearning passion to know Him and love Him more and more each passing day and to do great things for Him. That mustn’t grow cold! Ignite the flames!! In spite of their labor for the Gospel, they had lost their first love for the Master. God appreciates your good works and labor, but first He desires your whole-hearted love. He wants your love and affec on for Him to increase, but then you need to grow in your in mate knowledge of Him (2Peter 3:18). Remember the first things you loved doing for Jesus, go back to them and increase from there. Then every other thing will fall into place. Put the horse before the cart. Build on your love! STUDY: 1 John 4:7; Philippians1:9 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Ezekiel 37-42 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Lord Jesus, you are the Love of my life, the One that I adore. You are my Hero. Your love has captured me. Now, I live because of you. I love you. I dedicate my whole heart to you today, to love you more each passing day. Help me dear Jesus through your Spirit to know you in mately. Truly yours! Amen.

JESUS THE GREAT SOULWINNER “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)

See Jesus, the Well of Salva on, seated on another well, the well of Jacob. As He’s res ng from the redness of a long journey, He sees an unsaved, Samaritan woman coming to draw water from the well. But the Master, looks away from all the barricading walls of religion and gender, and sees a soul in need of the Living Water. Then, He stoops low to ask her for a drink from the well, but she reminds Him that she is a Samaritan. Brushing aside the limita ons, Jesus tells her of the gi of God, the Living water (John4:10). Suddenly, the Light begins to permeate her soul, and then she sees the One True Light: Jesus the Messiah. O, what a joy! She runs with the good news into the city, announcing: “I’ve found the Savior!!” Gathering many, she brings them to the feet of the Loving Master, then, they heard the gospel too and believed. In one day, Jesus won a city, by wining a woman. Glorious things! What model He is to us, Jesus the Great Soulwinner. Then, He told His disciples: “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”(John4:34). Jesus was more conscious of His purpose than anything. His will was His Father’s will: “…to seek and to save that which is lost”. A er His resurrec on, He said: “… Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” (John 20:24). He sent you “To seek and to save the lost”. This is your life’s purpose! So, you must take the Gospel to them, where they are. He sent us to go in fullness of the Holy Spirit, in other words you have what Jesus had, and you can do what He did too (Acts 1:8). Glorious things are spoken of you! STUDY: Jeremiah 23:29; John14:12 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Luke 23-24 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Holy Spirit, thank you for awakening in me the Father’s purpose and direc ng me to seek and save the lost. JESUS THE GOOD SHEPHERD “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His [own] life for the sheep.” (John 10:11 AMP)

Jesus is the Good Shepherd. The word ‘shepherd’ means caretaker, nourisher, provider, protector, guide. He is the “herds-man”, who watches over the sheep. That defines the roles of the shepherd too. A sheep is one animal that hardly survives without a shepherd. On a certain occasion when Jesus saw the mul tude sca ered around in need of help, He had compassion on them, for they were as sheep without a shepherd. So, He gathered them together and taught them the Word, and healed the sick (Ma hew 9:35-36). Indeed He is our Good Shepherd, He risked His life for us, died in our place and brought us into His fold. If He willing died for us, do you think He would abandon us to suffer lack? Definitely no! That’s the reason He said: “…Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.”(Luke12:22). Your Shepherd says “Don’t worry about yourself, you are my sheep!” Remember, He owns you, you are God’s responsibility. To act as His sheep would mean to focus on Him, by thanking Him for supplying all your needs, then go on and enjoy the supplies. Worrying means that you doubt the ability or faithfulness of God, it’s a sign that you don’t trust Him (James1:6-7). The man that doubts can’t receive from God. If He died for you, then nothing is too good for you. God finds great pleasure in supplying all your needs (Luke12:32). Trust Him as your Shepherd, turn your worries to worship, rejoice in His goodness, for indeed Jesus is the Good Shepherd! STUDY: 3 John1:2; 1 Peter5:7; Psalm 23:1 BIBLE IN A YEAR: I Thessalonians 1-3 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Father, how glad I am to know that You are my Shepherd. I refuse to be anxious about anything; I cast all my cares upon you, and I receive the supplies. Good things are coming my way today and I receive in Jesus Name. Amen.

JESUS THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”(Philippians2:9-11)

A name symbolizes iden ty, character or authority. Here, the Name of Jesus refers to His authority. The above scripture reveals that God had exalted Jesus and given Him an authority that is above every other. The authority in the Name of Jesus reigns supreme in heaven, in earth and under the earth (hell). Thus, all of God’s authority is in the wonderful Name of Jesus. That’s why everything else will submit when you use that Name. Jesus gave us the right (privilege) to use His Name. Angels don’t have the right to the use of that Name, only the saints of God. This privilege is called “the right of attorney”, a legal term deno ng: “to stand in One’s place of authority”. So when we use the Name of Jesus, we are standing in His place, His place of authority. No wonder Jesus said those who believe in Him will do glorious things, that in His Name they will cast out devils, speak with new tongues, heal the sick, if they drink any deadly thing it will not hurt them (Mark 16:117-18). That’s because there is power in the Name. We also pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus (John16:23). Whatsoever may have been a major concern; use that Name today and se le it forever. The Name of Jesus is superior to the name of any sickness! If you would use the Name of Jesus, it will bow. Peter used it on a lame man and he walked (Acts3:1-10). You too can. Put the word to work and triumph all the way. STUDY: Colossians 3:17; Psalm 138:2 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Levi cus 19-21 PROCLAIMATION: Dear Father, thank you for unveiling this precious truth to me. JESUS THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH “And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.”(Colossians1:18 NIV)

The Church is the Body, Spiritual Body of Christ. The Head of that Body is Jesus. 1Corinthians 12:13 says “For by one Spirit are we all bap zed into one body…”In reality we are all one, because we belong in one Body. When you received Christ, you were immersed into His Body, now you are a member with a func on: “…ye are the body of Christ, and members in par cular.”(1Corinthians 12:27). Every member in the Body is vital. In human body, every organ or part is important and has a func on, there are no spare organs. In the same way, no believer is insignificant because he is a member of Christ’s Body, so you must honor and treat everyone with love. Moreover, we are so connected with each other, such that what affects one believer affects the others too. For example, when you are not in a church service, others are concerned, when you face a challenge, others are involved too. You can never walk alone! That’s why it’s dangerous to seclude yourself from other believers, never do that, it’s the devil’s decep on. Jesus is our Head and we are one with Him. He is our Leader, we follow Him through the Word. The same life that flows through the Head, flows through the members. The Grace (ability) of the Head is available to the members. All that belongs to the Head belongs to the members too. Wow, what a glorious life of privileges we share with Jesus the Head of the Church. Thank you Father!

STUDY: Ephesians 5:30 BIBLE IN A YEAR: II Kings 21-25 PROCLAIMATION: I ‘m a child of God; a new crea on in Christ, a member of His Body, of His flesh and of His bones. No sickness is allowed in my body. The life of Christ is at work in me, the wisdom of Christ is at work in me. I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me. All things are mine, I’m highly favored. Praise the Lord! 32

JESUS THE EXACT REPRESENTATION OF GOD “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representa on of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. A er he had provided purifica on for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” (Hebrews 1:3 NIV).

Jesus is the Exact Representa on of God. The fullness of the God Head indwells Jesus, and the Bible says out of His fullness have we received abundance of grace heaped upon grace (John1:16). Amazing! During His earthly ministry, He said, “I and my Father are one” (John10:30). When one of His disciples, Philip, asked Him to show them the Father, He replied: “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John14:9). That means the Father was on earth through Jesus. When Jesus spoke, that was God speaking. When the Jews ques oned His iden ty, He answered them: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am” (John 8:58). Did you see that? He didn’t say “Before Abraham was, I was”, He said “Before Abraham was, I am”! “I AM” is the Name of God that was revealed to Moses from the burning bush, when he asked God what is your Name (Exodus 3:14). Jesus is God! He was the One who called Moses, the Voice who spoke to Him from the burning bush. Jesus the Son is co-equal with the Father. He is not lesser, He is one with God, that’s why Philippians 2:6 says about Jesus: “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.” He is in the form of God, that form is the Word, and the Word is God (John 1:1). So He is equal with God, yet humbled Himself as a servant to live in a human body for our salva on (Philippians 2:7). And He is the same yesterday, TODAY and forever. Glory to His Name!!!

STUDY: Hebrews 13:8 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psalms 90-92 PROCLAIMATION: Precious Holy Spirit, thank you for revealing Jesus to me today. Fill me with the Spirit of wisdom and revela on; bring me into a deep and in mate knowledge of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

VICTORY BY THE SPIRIT “Then said David to the philis ne, thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defiled” (1 Samuel 17:45)

I’ve got good news for you today. I want to tell you that the Name of Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever! (Hebrews 13:8). The Bible declares in Philippians 2:9-10 that “God also hath highly exalted him (Jesus), and given him a name that is above every other name. that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth,” Father God has given the Lord Jesus a more excellent Name than any other name there is, and the whole of crea on is subject to that Name. The Name of Jesus has become our comfort, our strong tower and our refuge, praise God! When you come in the Name of Jesus you would realize that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens and enables you. When you come In the Name of Jesus, you can face any situa on. God will tell you, “it’s by My Spirit,” and give you a plan for dealing with the challenges and difficul es that come your way. You will find it stay around people who do not know God without a strong yearning to bring them to the Knowledge of Jesus Christ and transform them for good. He has given us the power of a orney to act in His stead and use His Name this consciousness, you have boldness to face the world or whatever the devil will bring your way. When you come in the Name of the Lord, you will realize that He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world!

THE DEVIL ( your victim ) KNOWS “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the me, because the days are evil.”(Ephesians 5:15-16)

We are living in the last days that will herald the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The bible reveals to us in 1 Timothy 6:12 that we’re engaged in a fight of faith. It’s a good fight because we’re on the winning side, the battle has already been fought and the victory won by the Lord Jesus. So Romans 8:37 calls us ‘more than conquerors’. But as the age progresses, it seems the fight of faith is getting tougher. The raging conflict between the forces of light and darkness has become intense. Another translation of Paul’s admonition to the Ephesians church reads: “Be careful how you act; these are difficult days…” (TLB). The Spirit of God is saying the same thing to the Church today. The adversary, Satan knows his time is short, he knows he doesn’t stand a chance against the believer, so he’s doing everything he can to hang on. He’ll do anything to delay his judgment. This is why there seem to be so much pressure and persecution in this world against the Christian. Therefore, every single member of the body of Christ must be an active soldier in God’s army. You must recognize the fact that you’re the hottest spot in this conflict. Lapses that were once permitted in your Christian walk are today unacceptable because the battle has become too sensitive. You can’t afford to lose concentration, not even for a second, because it could cost you dearly. The devil has set up so much in this world to distract you from your purpose and calling if you’re eyes are not fixed on God and his Word. God’s Word is the wisdom of God; it will direct you away from evil and lead you along the path God has planned for you – the path of righteousness. You’re not defenseless; you’re a vital member of his army. Therefore put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17). Remember, there are no sissies of God’s army!

GIVEN AUTHORITY “Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure disease” (Luke 9:1)

The bible clearly states that our Lord Jesus Christ made power and authority available to his disciples to func on in. We can deduce from this passage that every believer with a mission requires power and authority to operate on earth. To be uncomfortable about this authority means you would miss many opportuni es to do the will of your heavenly Father. The believer’s authority is power delegated to the body of Christ. The Church has received power to tread upon serpents and scorpions. The Church has received power to pray for the sick. The Church has received power over the works of darkness and the divine authority to use the name of Jesus (Acts 1:8) All other powers are subject to the Church, but we need to be bold and confident in operate in this God-given authority. Now, this authority that we have is not for taking pride in lording it over other people indiscriminately. We should be commanding principali es and powers and rulers of darkness of this world, thus destroying the works of darkness. Some people are so self-centered that their li le worries have robbed them of their authority in Christ. An insecure man who lacks confidence cannot exercise authority. Why? Authority cannot operate under fear. “What will people say?” “What if it doesn’t happen?...” Jesus had to overlook the law to command sicknesses, diseases and demons to leave. He wasn’t afraid of what authori es said or felt about it. Although this greatly displeased the Law-ruled Pharisees, it pleased the Spirit-filled Lord who came to do the will of his Father. He said in Mathew 28:18-19, “All power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore (in this My authority)….” If you take authority, your confidence in your heavenly Father will increase and you will do greater exploits for Him.

HUNGER A BLESSING “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst a er righteousness: for they shall be filled”(Mathew 5:6)

Have you ever been hungry for food? I’m sure you have and you ate to sa sfy the hunger. Now let me ask you: Have you stopped ea ng since then? Of course not! Even though you were hungry yesterday and you ate something, you’ll s ll get hungry today and so you must eat. Spiritual hunger is just that same way. You can be so hungry for Jesus, so hungry for the Holy Ghost and so hungry to be touched by God and be blessed by Him. As you worship, study the bible and hear the word, you’ll become enwrapped in His presence, but a few hours later you’ll become so hungry to have the same experience again, showing that you’re hungry for him again. That you had a wonderful me last Sunday doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t go to church this Sunday. When you’re hungry for God you’ll always desire to be in His presence. King David could say, “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the lord” (Psalm 122:1), because he was always hungry for the presence of God. If you’re hungry for food and you tune your mind off that hunger to engage in some other ac vity, you may forget your hunger for a while. But if you keep talking about it and saying, “I am so hungry”, every me somebody or some other thing wants to get your a en on, then you’re encouraging your hunger. Just as you can encourage your hunger for food, it’s possible to do the same with your hunger for God, but it’s sad that many Chris ans don’t know this. The more you state your hunger and think about it, the hungrier you become. The more you talk about hunger for God, the hungrier for hum you become. If you observe the statement made by the Lord Jesus in Mathew 5:6, he wasn’t even talking about being filled yet! Being hungry for the Holy Spirit or the Word of God is a blessing on its own. Just to have the hunger is a blessing; ge ng filled is another blessing. So, get hungry and get filled!

SEEING TO BE TRANSFORMED “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord”(2 Corinthians 3:18)

It has been said and it is true that one of the greatest crises in life is the iden ty crisis. Today, we’re living in a society where people have lost their iden ty and forgo en who they are. This should not be our por on as children of God. We must remember our iden ty. The moment we begin to forget who we are and why Jesus Christ died for us, we begin to move out of God’s will. In the epistles, the Holy Ghost reveals to the Chris an his iden ty: who he is, what he can do, his nature and his origin, his new status, and his inheritance in Christ. All that is le for us to do is to get into the Word of God and discover ourselves in Him. Nobody will do this for you; it is our responsibility, and as we do this, the ministry of the Word of God will transform our lives into the picture that we see in His Word. We must never lose sight of our calling as the children of God; it is the highest calling any one could ever have in this life and we must esteem it highly. It is priceless. The bible says that we were not redeemed by silver or gold, but with the precious blood of God’s son Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19). We are strangers and pilgrims in this world, we are the ambassadors of Christ, sent from the heavenly Kingdom to bring meaning to the lives of those here on earth. As long as we are conscious of this truth we can never live meaningless lives, our lives will take on a new meaning. The Word of God says that we are in the world but not of the world. God has made us tough that we can face any crisis in life without losing. There is something different about us, something awesome about us, and that is our iden ty. We’ve been born into God’s class of being!

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Levi cus 22-24 PROCLAIMATION: my focus is straight and my gait is ahead, all I pursue in life by my a en on is a reflec on of Gods plan for me. I will never pursue in a mirage in any area of my life in Jesus name.

POSITIONED WITH CHRIST “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6)

Somebody once said, “Preaching the gospel is all God wants us to do!” No! that’s just one of our responsibili es here. There’s more, and I’ll show that to you. The bible says, “…the Lord Jesus Christ…shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom” (2 Timothy 4:1), but before He does that, He’s already seated at the right hand of God. The Bible didn’t say, “He is seated at the right-hand side of God.” If Jesus is seated at the right-hand side of God, then someone must be sitng at His le -hand side. That’s not going to be me, I assure you! I prefer to be on the same side with Jesus! The word ‘side’ wasn’t included in the statement because that wasn’t what God wanted to communicate. When you call someone your ‘right-hand man,’ you don’t mean he’s your right-hand side man. What you’re saying is he’s the man in whom you’ve vested your authority. That means you’ve given him permission to act for you; he has the power of a orney to act in your name. So when the bible says Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, it means God has given Him authority over all crea on. A be er rendering says, “He is seated at the right hand of power” Hallelujah! Guess what? God has “…li ed us up from the grave into glory along with Christ where we sit with him in the heavenly realms – all because of what Christ Jesus did” (Ephesians 2:6 TLB). We are occupying the same posi on of authority, with the power of a orney to act in God’s stead. Hallelujah!

GOD’S PROVISION REMAINS “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10)

How do you think Adam and Eve had such a beau ful place in the Garden of Eden to live in? How do you think they lost their place and were banished from that garden? By words! Yes God spoke His Word and the garden appeared. He provided them everything they could ever have wanted in that garden, but the devil came with words and stole from them what belonged to them. Some people, quo ng Job 1:21, say, ‘Well, it’s God that gives and it’s God that takes away.” That’s absolutely wrong. It’s only a child that would do that, and God is not a child. One a Child says, “Youre not my friend anymore, so let me have my toys. Give me back my shoes and the meal I gave to you. Let me have them!” “Wait a minute,” the other one says, “what about my things that are with you – my pencils and eraser, my crayons and storybooks? Let me have them all back too! So each child angrily takes his things and walks away but tomorrow they are back again as friends. It’s amazing that some people actually a ribute such acts of childishness to God. Why would God give you a child and suddenly strike that child with sickness because you offended him and he wants to take back what He gave you? God is not that way. Proverbs 10:22 says the blessing of the Lord makes rich and he adds no sorrow with it. You must know today who your real enemy is. It’s the devil – he’s the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy. So instead of you crying and begging God, bind that devil that’s trying to steal from you. Tell him to take his hands off what God has given you right now, in Jesus’ Name! Then begin to declare that your child is healed, your family is protected, and your job or business is prospering in the Name of Jesus.

BY THE CROSS “The bond, with its requirements, which was in force against us and was hos le to us, He cancelled, and cleared it out of the way, nailing it to His Cross. And the hos le princes and rulers He shook off Himself, and boldly displayed them as His conquests, when by the Cross He triumphed over them” (Colossians 2:14,15)

I sense there was one me in the history of the world that nobody was possessed of a demon because every demon everywhere converged in hell to witness the tanic ba le between Satan, their master, and the Lord Jesus. They wanted to be a part of Satan’s victory over Jesus, which turned out to be a most empha c defeat. I love Jesus. He made a public spectacle of them all, triumphing over them in that combat. It reminds me of how David said to Goliath, “I will take your head off your shoulders today and I will give your carcass and the carcasses of the host of the Philis nes to the birds of the air, and today it shall be known that there is a God in Israel” (1 Samuel 17:46). David was a seventeen-year-old boy talking to a giant who had been a warrior from his youth, and all he had was a sling with five smooth stones and a covenant with Jehovah! He defeated Goliath and took the giant’s head off with his own sword, and the Philis nes couldn’t understand it. Jesus also said to the devil, ‘I will deal with you, but not only you, the whole bunch of you,” and all the demons laughed at Him. The Bible says He spoiled principali es and powers and made a show of them publicly. He triumphed not only over Lucifer, but also over the whole bunch of them. Ephesians 4:8 tells us, “Wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led cap vity cap ve, and gave gi s unto men.” He led cap vity cap ve. He came out victoriously, displaying Satan and his li le demons as His prisoners of war. Now, we live and reign in His victory today over the devil and all the hordes of hell. Praise God!

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Proverbs 16 PROCLAIMATION:I am from this day programmed to live in the consciousness that I am more than a conqueror, all of satanic manipula ons I ignore consistently as I reign as a king!

INVESTMENT OF POWER “And a erward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, thus saith the Lord God of Israel, let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness” (Exodus 5:1)

God is wonderful; He knew that pharaoh was headstrong and that he would challenge Him and refuse to release the Israelites, and He knew just what to do to break his hold on His people. The truth is that God is constantly figh ng on your behalf. His mighty hands are upon you to protect you. He goes before you and is always behind you to guard you, but He also wants you to take ac on. When Moses told pharaoh to let God’s people go, he challenged God but God fought for His people and broke the stranglehold of slavery and oppression of the Egyp ans over the children of Israel. The Israelites also had a role to play. They had to respond to God’s Word from His servant Moses. They had to believe the message of liberaon he brought to them was truly from God for them to have packed all their belongings to follow him into the wilderness. God expects the same of us today. If you’re in an oppressive situa on, God wants you out of it and He has sent a message of deliverance to you. The bible says, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life…”(1 Timothy 6:12). In other words, “Hold ghtly to the eternal life that God has given you!” (TLB). God wants you to be in control, not ruled by the devil or controlled by circumstances. He wants you to control circumstances of your life. He wants you to be in charge, and to say, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me!” Always respond with the Word in the face of the situa on. Remember, when the devil came to Jesus to tempt Him. He responded to the devil and confronted him with the Word. He taught us the way that we should go and we should not go down the wrong path. Confront the devil with the Word of God. That’s the power God has invested in you.

BEFORE YOUR CHALLENGES “And Moses and Aaron came unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, how long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me. Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast” (Exodus 10:3-4)

Pharaoh was not pleased when Moses came to him and gave him God’s command to “Let My people (Israel) go! That was a strong word and it took great courage for Moses to stand before the most powerful king in the world at the me to say that.Pharaoh fumed, “How dare you come here and talk to me like that?!” Moses answered him, “The Lord sent me, and if you don’t hearken, you will regret it.” You must get to the point where you stand before your oppressor and command him to let you go! That thing may have plagued you for a long me: it could be sickness, debt, marital problems, failure, lack….and it may look as if you’re never going to be free from it, but it’s me for you to take hold of God’s word and command that situa on to bow to the Word, in the Name of Jesus! Have you ever spoke to a goat before? When a goat wanders into your living room and starts messing the place up, you don’t tell it nicely to leave. You’ll shout at it, get a big s ck and run a er it and beat it up to make sure it leaves and never comes back. You have to do that to a goat because it’s stubborn. That’s the same way the devil is, He’s like a goat. You say, “Get out!” and he s ll tries to come back, but when you take the rod and hit them over the head, then he goes and stays away. That rod is the Word of God. That’s what puts you in command, that’s what you use to run the devil out of every area of your life!

BIBLE IN A YEAR: John 3-4 PROCLAIMATION:I will never bow or get depressed over any challenge, there is no problem big enough to frustrate me I am equal to anything for victory in Jesus name.

GOD’S KIND OF PROMISE “As for me, behold my covenant is with thee and thou shalt be a father of many na ons……and I will make na ons of thee, and kings shall come out of thee” (Genesis 17:4,6)

God had told Abraham that he was to be the father of many na ons and that kings would come from his lineage. Many years a er this promise, the children of Israel, who were ruled by the priest and the prophet, demanded for a king, because of their ignorance of God’s plan for their na on. God did not approve of this, and Samuel the prophet of God tried to dissuade them. He showed them the terrible things the King would do and demand for, but they insisted and said, ‘we don’t want to be ruled by the prophet any longer, we want a king like other na ons.” God had made a promise to Abraham that out of him would come Kings. He had envisioned a special Kingship that would emerge from Israel and would have rule and dominion over all. Zechariah 9:9 says, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salva on: lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.” When this prophecy was given, the children of Israel couldn’t understand it: they couldn’t comprehend it. They wondered what kind of king would come that would be just, having salva on, lowly and riding on a colt, but the Lord Jesus fulfilled prophecy. The Bible says he rode into Jerusalem, riding on an ass and its colt, and the people laid their clothes on the floor and bowed before him. The children of Israel looked for a king with royal robes, poli cal, and military prowess, but the King God gave came with transforming power from heaven to change men’s lives forever. Now He has made us Kings just like Himself. This great King Jesus is s ll alive and we’re s ll talking about Him today because He made all the difference in our lives, glory to God!

A THOUGHT ON THE HOLYSPIRIT “Go ye therefore, and teach all na ons, bap zing them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Mathew 28:19)

Do you realize the Holy Spirit does answer to a specific name? We call Him Holy Spirit, but that’s not His name! ‘Holy’ is characteris c of His personality; and ‘Spirit’ is what He is. So, when we call him ‘Holy Spirit’ what we’re saying in essence is that He’s a Spirit that is Holy. He answers to a Name, and that’s the Name of Jesus! It’s right there in Mathew chapter 28:19; Jesus said, “Go therefore, and teach all na ons, bap zing them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost...” No ce He didn’t say, “Bap zing them in the names of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.” Rather He said “in the name,” which means the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost all answer to one Name – the Name of Jesus! The Father loves the Son so much and has highly exalted Him and given Him a Name that is above every name. It pleased the Father that in Him (Jesus) should all fullness dwell! Jesus is the embodiment of the Godhead; the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him bodily (Colossians 2:9). So you see, the Holy Spirit doesn’t have a name separate from Jesus; He answers to the Name of Jesus. When you call the Name of Jesus, the Holy Spirit goes into ac on because He answers to that Name!

THE DEVIL TO BE RESISTED “….. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7)

Do you know what it’s like for a situa on to deteriorate and keep deteriora ng un l you think it couldn’t possibly get worse than it already is? When the situa on gets bad and things just seem to be ge ng tougher, what do you do? Do you stop your confession and run for help somewhere? Or will you keep God’s Word in your mouth and con nue to flood your life and that situa on with confessions of God’s Word? Make up your mind what you will do right now. Don’t wait the trouble comes before you know what line of ac on you’ll take! Whenever your confession reduces because of a problem, the problem takes over. But when you intensify your confession of God’s word, then you’re pu ng pressure on that problem and on the devil that’s behind it. You see, one has to dominate the other. It’s either the problem dominates or the confession dominates. The Bible declares that Jesus Christ has given us power over all things. He didn’t leave us without power. That power (or authority) is in the Word. So start speaking it, start praying it. The more you speak, the more of that power is released, and the more pressure is applied on the problem. You can take charge of your life today. Li up your voice today and say, “I break the power of the Spirit of death, poverty, sickness, failure….over my life, my family, my business….in the Name of Jesus!” you just keep on declaring that, keep pu ng pressure on that thing un l it gives in, gives up and gives way to God’s Word, Hallelujah! Some mes you may not know why you’re so pressed in you’re Spirit to keep praying a par cular prayer, but don’t you stop praying! Be sensi ve to the things of the Spirit. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong” (1 Corinthians 16:13)

The Chris an life is not an ordinary life for mere men. It is a supernatural life for supernatural men. That’s why we must live with the consciousness of who we are in Christ. You have to leave the realm of the ordinary and walk in the realm of the supernatural where you take control of the situa ons of life. If you have made Jesus your Lord and Savior, you have the right to live, the right to choose and the right to ask God for anything you want. The only people that do not have rights are those that do not know God: those who have not yet accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Ephesians 2:12 describes such people as “having no hope and without God in the world.” But everyone who has been born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit has rights in Christ. One of the most dangerous things for a believer is not to know his rights. When you don’t know your rights in Christ, you’re at the devil’s mercy and that would be a dangerous way for you to live as a Chris an. But when you know your rights, you’ll be bold to take possession of all that belongs to you in Christ. You must know your rights in Christ and stand on them. That’s when you’ll see the results that the Bible talks about. That’s when you’ll walk in the glory that Christ came to give to His own. You can start today. Start digging into His Word; search the Scriptures for yourself. Discover your rights and privileges in Christ – what He has said you can do and have – then begin to appropriate them in your life.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psalms 96-98 PROCLAIMATION: In the name of Jesus my thoughts are full of my rights in Christ I dwell on His provisions for me, I refuse to func on outside the grace of God for my life.

OUR HIGH PRIEST “But Christ being come on high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once onto the holy place, having obtained eternal redempon for us.” (Hebrews 9:11-12)

Christ has become our great High Priest, and He is not one made with human hands! That’s part of the redemptive work He accomplished for us. Now, the high priest was the only man in the whole of Israel who could enter the holy of holies, carrying the blood of animals to sprinkle upon the mercy seat and cover up the sins of the people for that year. It was his responsibility as the high priest to pronounce God’s blessings upon the people after he had offered sacrifices to God on their behalf. In Jesus’ day, the high priest and chief priests were corrupt, and in their own ignorance of God’s plan clearly recorded in the scriptures, they crucified the Son of God, not knowing that it had been prophesied and that the ultimate sacrifice performed by Jesus Christ would cost them their jobs! Afterwards, they couldn’t operate in the positions of high priest and chief priest anymore because Jesus Christ had become the great High Priest. The veil that separated the inner court from the most holy place was torn from top to bottom, signifying that the way into the holiest place of the temple was free for all to go in. there was no need for any earthly high priest to carry blood into the holiest place once in a year anymore. Jesus had gone into the heavenly holy of holies and sprinkled His own blood on the mercy seat, not to cover sins for just one more year, but to wipe away completely the sins of all men, for all time! Now, the bible says we are seated together with Him at the right hand of God. That was a place the earthly high priests could never get the children of Israel to; they themselves were restricted from entering the holiest place of all except for once in the whole year! But praise God, because of the sacrifice of Jesus, our great High Priest, we’re living right in there within the veil, in the very presence of God!

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Proverbs 17-18 PROCLAIMATION: Christ has become my great High Priest, and He is not one made with human hands therefore all I do is independent of man and his boas ul efforts, Gods grace and favor is my pride.

RESPOND FROM THE WORD “If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen” (1Peter 4:11)

“Please, I need your advice” is not an uncommon request today because there are so many who don’t seem to know which direc on their lives should go. The Bible says we are the light of the world (Ma hew 5:14), and that’s why we ought to speak as ‘the oracles of God’ whenever we’re approached like this. The Word has a lot to say about life’s circumstances; it has the answer to every ques on and the solu on to every problem man could ever have. The natural man is selfish and has a tendency to consider himself ahead of others. Whatever he says is tainted with his selfish interests, but we, as the light of the world, speak reality according to God’s Word. So you see, when you fill your heart with God’s Word you’re not the only beneficiary, many more will also benefit from your knowledge. When someone asks you for advice on what to do, don’t just blab anything from the top of your head, listen carefully and think, “What would the lord have me say?” and as those Scriptures come up from within you, share them and give the word to that individual. Those Scriptures aren’t from you but from the Holy Ghost who resides in you. The world may not necessarily agree with us on everything we tell them from God’s Word since they have their principles for dealing with issues, nevertheless, it’s our responsibility to show them God’s way of doing thing Jesus was always in contact with people and He always had the right word for them. Do the same today: reach out to your world and help people find peace in turmoil, strength in weakness and joy in sadness. Give a meaning to the lives around you; let God’s Word be your word.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Daniel 7-12 PROCLAIMATION: In my sphere of contact wisdom is expressed in my dealings with men, I do not lack wisdom and courage to dispense divine reali es daily in Jesus name amen.

THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS “The Word which God sent unto the Children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all)” (Acts 10:36)

Jesus became the Lord of your life the moment you were born again. Remember that you had to confess His Lordship over your life to be saved. That was just the declara on. Now that you’re born again, it is essen al that you start learning the Word of God. There is an experien al knowledge of the Lordship of Jesus that every Chris an ought to have. The Holy Spirit gains this experien al knowledge through adequate training in the Word, and it doesn’t happen overnight. You see, its one thing for Jesus to become the Lord of your life, it’s another thing to recognize His Lordship over your life. To recognize the Lordship of Jesus, you must be trained in the Word of God. The Lordship of Jesus is understood through acquaintance, submission and training in the Word by the Holy Spirit. You must come to the point in your life where your choices have nothing to do with advantage. The three Hebrew children Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow before King Nebuchadnezzar’s image because they were acquainted with Jehovah. They refused to cower from their decision even in the face of death. When the Lordship of Jesus Christ has gained the mastery over your life, all you want in life will be to do what He says and your thoughts will always be: what does the lord want me to do? A lot of Chris ans aren’t trained and I’m not talking about training by a man. I’m talking about training of submission that you go through when you’re acquainted with the Lordship of Jesus. This will change your goals in life. This is the higher level of life where you’re not the one wri ng down your own goals but instead have your goals given to you by the Lord.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: John 5-6 PROCLAIMATION: I confess Jesus and His lordship over my life in Jesus name amen.

JESUS… “He saith unto them, but whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said; thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven:” (Mathew 16:15-17)

It’s so important for you to know who Jesus really is. Jesus is not another religious leader; He didn’t come to give the world another religion. He came to give life. He tells us in John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life a, and that they may have it more abundantly.” That’s the reason Jesus came; He came to unveil to us the life of God and the love of God! He came to li us up from where we were to where He is. That’s the miracle of Chris anity! Nobody can know who Jesus is without the Holy Spirit. He is the One who teaches you about Jesus; He is the One who lets you know who Jesus is! It takes the help of the Holy Spirit for you to receive the revela on of Jesus. Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do men say that I am?” They answered Him. “Some say You’re John the Bap st, some say You’re Jeremiah, some say You’re Elijah and others say You’re one of the prophets.” Not even the disciples knew who Jesus was except Peter, and that was by divine revela on! Peter was able to discern Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the Living God! Jesus’ response to peter was, “Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but My Father Who is in heaven.” In other words, Jesus was saying, “Simon there was no way you could have known I am the Christ if my Father had not revealed it to you.” It’s important for you to get to know Jesus by yielding to the Holy Spirit. Let Him flood your heart with a personal revela on of Jesus.

GOD’S MANNER “(Jesus) Being made so much be er than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they” (Hebrews 1:4)

Our God is compassionate and his mercy is beyond human comprehension. He’s greater than angels, for He made all things, including the angels. Since we’re born in the likeness of Jesus with the authority of His Name given to us, angels are mandated to minister to our needs. In the eighteenth chapter of the book of Genesis, the Lord with two of His angels came as men to visit Abraham, who recognized who they were. While Abraham entertained his guests, his wife Sarah was inside, quietly eavesdropping on their conversa on. When the Lord said she was going to give birth to a son, she laughed because she couldn’t believe it. Then God spoke up and said, “…..Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the me appointed I will return unto thee, according to the me of life, and Sarah shall have a son” (Genesis 18:13-14).I love God! He didn’t reprimand her. He wasn’t angry with her even when she denied laughing. He didn’t do what angel Gabriel did to Zechariah in Luke 1:5-20. The angel told him that his wife would have a son but Zechariah didn’t believe. Gabriel couldn’t take that, so he said, “…thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, unl the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words….”(Luke 1:20). But think about our Father God, He didn’t act like that! I hear some people say, “Angel Michael pray for us; Angel Gabriel pray for us…” Such prayers have no spiritual significance and make no impact at all. Thank God for angels! Don’t ever forget the One who sent the angels, He is greater than all. Moreover, He has given His “…angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone” (Psalm 91:11-12)

HOW TO LIVE “Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is wri en of me,) to do thy will, O God” (Hebrews 10:7)

The life of the Chris an is the life of the Word of God. There’s no be er example of this than the Lord Jesus Himself. When you look through what the prophets wrote about the Messiah, you’ll discover Jesus fulfilled every single Law they claimed to know so well. He lived the Word beyond the wri en pages of the books. The Word goes beyond le ers; it goes beyond the wri en pages. It’s meant to be alive and the minister life to people. This is the reason God wasn’t pleased with the scribes, Pharisees and doctors of the Law. They didn’t prac ce what they preached and there was no life in what they taught. When Jesus spoke, the words leapt out of the wri en pages, so much so that many people were amazed at his doctrine and tes fied that He spoke as one with authority (Mark 1:22). Jesus showed God alive in His days on earth. So did the apostles, and their works recorded in the books of Acts and the epistles are a tes mony. My ques on is: Where do we stand in all these? My Bible shows me we’re living in the greatest move of God’s Spirit in all the ages put together. The apostles in the book of Acts only stood on the threshold of it, but we’re living in the days when the early and la er rains are coming together, glory to God! No longer should the people of the world wonder if God is s ll with us. Reveal God in you to them! Let the Word so dominate you that your life becomes a living epistle. Opportuni es abound daily to show the manifold wisdom of God to your world. Once you allow the force of God’s Word take hold of you, you’ll be the living, talking and walking Word of God. You’ll become God’s Word lived beyond the wri en pages of the book. “You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the Word which I have given to you [the teachings I have discussed with you]” (John 15:3 Amp) One of the first things we do early every morning is to wash our bodies with soap and water, a process we call ‘bathing.’ For some, it’s unthinkable to leave home without having a bath. You’re always in contact with parcles and germs in the air around you that you can’t see with your eyes. They get on your body without your invita on and make you feel s cky and dirty as they accumulate. They could even be harmful to your health if le 53

unwashed. So you bathe to wash them off your body and then you’re fresh all over. Now, it’s the same thing spiritually! You may not have done or said anything wrong but doubt, fear and unbelief rub off on you as you relate with people every day. This is why you need to have spiritual bath o en. When I counsel people, many of them voice unbelief as they relate their problems, so I go back and spend some me studying and declaring the Word to cleanse myself of all I’ve heard.

PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY “But whose looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and connueth therein, he being not a forge ul hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in all his deed” (James 1:25)

Have you ever le home in a hurry because you were running late for work, only to be told later in the office that you didn’t comb your hair? Such an experience can be most embarrassing, but could easily be avoided by your taking out me to look in a mirror. There are mes you’re so sure something is wrong with your make-up though you can’t see it. It’s at such mes you need to check your face in a mirror. Otherwise you would be uncomfortable throughout the day. This is why mirrors are so important and most people never think they’ve finished dressing up un l they’ve observed themselves in one. The Amplified Bible renders the 23rd verse of James 1 thus: “….he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror….” likening the Word of God to a mirror. This is quite significant because it vividly describes how we should apply the Word to our lives. When you look into a mirror you see yourself, which means you ought to see yourself when you look in the mirror of God. “And all of us, as with unveiled face,[because we] con nued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are con nually being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another….” (2 Corinthians 3:18 Amp). When you look in the mirror of God, which is the word, you see the glory of God, and that’s you! The more look into the Word, the more you become what you see in the Word. There’s a transforma on, a transfigura on that takes place in your life from one level of glory to a higher one, Hallelujah! Take the mirror of God today and observe yourself in a way you’ve never done before. Don’t do by what you feel or see, look into the Word of God and live your live according to what you’ve observed.

HIS SETTLED WORD “For ever, O LORD, thy word is se led in heaven” (Psalm 119:89)

Many years ago, as I talked with a gentleman, he made a statement that caught my a en on. He said, “There could be no God!” “Why do you think so?” I asked. “Look at all the sicknesses people suffer the world over; there’s so much evil around us – earthquakes, floods, famine and tornadoes have destroyed many lives. With all these, tell me, how could there be God?” he queried. Then I took my Bible and showed him where it says, “Surely he hath borne our grief’s, and carried our sorrow….” (Isaiah 53:4), and said to him, “If there’s anybody to blame today, it’s those who ought to preach this message but aren’t doing it. As far as God is concerned, His Word is already se led in heaven but it has to be se led here on earth by each individual.” Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniqui es, the chas sement of our peace was upon Him. This is se led in heaven and it’s all God knows. Whenever He looks at you, He sees you healed your pains notwithstanding. The reason it isn’t se led in the lives of many of God’s people is that they haven’t seen their true iden ty in the Word of God. You will be able to se le God’s Word in your life when faith wells up in you. Remember that Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” That means the more of the word you have in you, the more faith will come to you to se le God’s Word in your life. As you do this o en, you will receive new revela ons for those areas of your where the word must be se led. Wow! What a joy it is to know that I can se le every one of God’s blessings and appropriate His Word in my life by the Holy Spirit. Se le God’s Word in you today!

THE WORD AND YOU “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance amongst all them which are sanc fied” (Acts 20:32)

From the way some people live their lives, it’s quite evident they haven’t developed absolute confidence in the Word of God. Paul said, “Now brethren, I commend you to God and to the Word of His grace.” The Word of His grace is God’s eternal Word. There’s something fantas c about this Scripture; it says the Word of God is able to build you up and give you an inheritance. Now, if the Word of God has the ability to build you up and give you an inheritance, don’t you think you should live your life trus ng it with wholehearted devo on? God’s Word is able; it possesses the inherent ability to produce whatever it talks about! The apostle Paul here couldn’t think of a better way to bless the brethren at Ephesus than to commend them to the Word of God. Have you commended your life to the Word of God? You ought to realize by now that the Word of God is the solu on to any trial or challenge that you would ever face. Remember, God made all things through the eternal Word of His grace. Learn today to commend yourself and all of your life’s circumstances to the Word of God, because that’s where you can obtain true respite from all the shackles of life. God’s Word is true and guaranteed to produce results; it does not fail!

GIVE ATTENTION TO THE WORD “My son, a end to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings, Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:20-22)

Paying rapt a en on to the Word of God that comes to you is in your best interest. The same way a student of an ins tu on of learning is expected to a end to his studies in order to make good grades, God expects you to a end to His Word so you can be successful in life. You know, it really doesn’t ma er as much if you score a ‘D’ in school, but if you score a ‘D’ in life, you’re sunk! Success in life is not dependent on the number of degrees you bagged in college, it’s in the amount of God’s Word you know and put to work! No demon will listen to you because you have a Ph.D., neither will sickness, disease or cash crunch bow to anything else except the Word of God. Life is spiritual and Jesus said, “…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirits, and they are life” (John 6:63). It’s so compulsory for you to give all your a enon to the Word of God. His Words are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh. In fact, the Hebrew word translated ‘health’ is medicine. He’s telling you that the Word of God is medicine to your flesh. If you take the Word of God into your system, it will produce divine health in you. It will get rid of your migraine headaches; it will get rid of the cancer and destroy every unwanted growth in your body. God’s Word is infallible and can meet every need. As you receive it and open your heart to it in faith, it produces for you what it talks about. God’s Word will do a miracle in you as you give a en on to it today.

GOD’S KIND OF CORRECTION “My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be wary of His correc on” (Proverbs 3:11)

Many of God’s people live miserable lives because they are ignorant of God’s Word. In their ignorance, they’ve developed a wrong percep on of God. When nega ve things happen to them, they think God is inflicting punishment on them for their wrongdoing. How untrue that is! Some Chris ans assume the sickness in their body is God’s punishment for their disobedience. Some others even a ribute their financial misfortune to God. “But if you be with chas sement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards and not sons” (Hebrews 12:8). God does correct and discipline His children just as every loving father should, but the ques on is: how does He do it? Well, it’s not the way many people think. He will never use the devil’s tools – sickness, accidents, pain or financial misery – to keep His children on track. He has His own method and that is through His word: “All scripture is given by inspira on of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correc on, for instruc on in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Proverbs 22:15 says, “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correc on shall drive it far from him.” God’s rod of correc on is His Word! God’s Word is powerful, and in it is the supernatural ability to transform the life of anyone that heeds to it. The fathers of our flesh discipline us in our flesh but the father of our spirit disciplines us in our spirit; and He does it through His Word. This is why your response to God’s Word is very important. Open you heart to the Word today, let it correct you and change you.

IGNORE DISTRACTION “….lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with pa ence the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”(Hebrews 12:1-2)

When I was a kid, I heard a story of the tortoise and the dog. “I can beat you in any race,” the tortoise boasted to the dog. “With your short legs?” the dog asked in astonishment. Anyway, the dog took up the tortoise’s challenge because he was sure of victory, and so the race was scheduled for the following day. During the night, however the tortoise arranged bones at the different points on the racecourse. When the race commenced the next day, the dog, of course, outran his challenger; but somewhere along the way he was distracted by the bones he found and stopped several times to feast on them. To his dismay, before he could finish the last bone, it was all overthe tortoise had crossed the finish line ahead of him. I spite of the fact that the dog had all the potentials, charisma, ability and speed; the tortoise outwitted him to win the race. Some Christians have played the dog a long time and the devil has continually whipped them in spite of their authority in Christ. Distraction is the name of the game! I always say a lie isn’t always the opposite of truth but the perversion of truth. It may sound like truth but it veers off ever so subtly. It will be easy for the devil to distract you when you don’t make God’s Word your focus. Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 9:11,”…the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill.” The wisdom of this world will ultimately fail but God’s Word is everlasting. Many fail because they refuse to focus on God’s Word in the affairs of their lives. The Lord Jesus said, “…man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). In other words, make God’s Word your priority and you shall prosper, Hallelujah!

THE MATERIAL TO REIGN “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gi of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ “ (Romans 5:17)

You have to make up your mind to reign in life as a child of God. The apostles Paul and Silas were imprisoned for casting out a demon spirit in Philippi. Even with their hands and feet fast in stocks, they were s ll reigning, Hallelujah! The Bible says, “…at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God…” (Acts 16:25) and the power of God broke the chains off their hands and feet and threw the prison doors wide open. You can also reign, discouraging circumstances notwithstanding. In Proverbs 8:16, Wisdom says, “By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.” This isn’t referring to the wisdom of the world but that which is of God. It is walking in the insight of truth beyond facts, and it comes by the Word of God. In 2 kings: 1-7, the axe-head some young prophets borrowed for use fell into the Jordan River. Prophet Elisha simply cut a s ck and threw it in the water where the axe-head had dropped and the axe-head floated! How in the world did he know it would work? This man walked in the insight of truth beyond facts. It may be a fact that your disease is incurable, it may be a fact that you’re bankrupt, it may be a fact that you’re failing in your academics, but all these aren’t the truth. So, what’s the truth about your situa on? God’s tes mony as declared in His Word is the truth: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree….by whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24); “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19); “I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy tes monies are my medita on” (Psalm 119:99). Look beyond the facts and reign through the truth of God’s Word today.

GOD’S WORD TODAY “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12)

The NIV transla on of Hebrews 4:12 say “…the Word of God is living and ac ve….” There’s power in the Word, Hallelujah! When the lord Jesus told the man who’s right hand was paralyzed, “….Stretch forth thy hand….” (Luke 6:8), the Word went into him and made him whole to be able to do what Jesus said. The Word of God never fails; that’s why 2 Corinthians 3:6 says, “…the le er killeth, but the spirit giveth life. “So you see, when the Word is preached and taught, though it’s heard, its real ministry is unseen. It travels in the realm of the spirit, going straight into the case that was addressed and effec ng the desired change. The Word of God is living and ac ve, Hallelujah! Also, the Scripture says the Word discerns ‘…our innermost thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are” (Hebrews 4:12 TLB). The Word can check your heart! There are mes you hear someone preach the Word and it’s as though someone has been revealing your secrets, and you’d wonder, ‘How did he get to know such details about me?” Well, it’s not the man; it’s the Word that has discerned your thoughts and mo ves. The Bible says of the Word, “He knows about everyone, everywhere. Everything about us is bare and wide open to the all-seeing eyes of our living God; nothing can be hidden from him to whom we must explain all that we have done’ (Hebrews 4:13 TLB). The Word of God sees all things and knows all things. We can’t hide any thought or act from Him. The Word checks us in order to keep us from error. Where would we be without the Word? We would all have derailed from the path God chose for us if the Word wasn’t there to correct us. Thank God for His gracious and powerful Word!

YOUR PROFIT GOD’S INTEREST “Thus said the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go” (Isaiah 48:17)

When we rely on our human understanding, it limits us because we cannot tell those things that are good for us un l we look into the Word of God. The Word of God is the wisdom of God, and wisdom is the principal things. There are many things that seem like the truth but are actually a perversion of truth. As believers, we have the Spirit of wisdom, for Christ has been made Wisdom unto us (1 Corinthians 1:30). So we can discern the truth and walk in it. It’s not everything that comes your way that’s a blessing from God; it’s not every job that is of God’; every lady that likes you can’t be your wife and it’s not all the money that comes your way that’s a financial blessing from God. You can only know those things that are good for you through the Word of God and by His Spirit, for the Spirit and the Word are one. If God’s Word says “Do this…” then you should because it’ll be for your good. Don’t try it out first to see if it’s good for you or not. Some people say experience is the best teacher but that’s not true. You don’t have to suffer the consequences of you ac ons before learning something. If you’re not sure about it, look in the Word, or else, leave it alone. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly…” so that when you face situa ons that require immediate response, there’ll be sufficient informa on in you to decide in agreement with the Word. This is the reason you must invest your me and resources in God’s Word; in it is all the life-giving informa on you’ll ever need.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Proverbs 20-21 PROCLAIMATION: love you so dearly Lord because you first loved me and went the extra mile just to give me a beau ful life. I pray that you cause me to realize the more the details of your many sided love for me.

GOD’S WORD IS FOR DOING “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock” (Ma hew 7:24)

What have you founded your life upon? What are you really building your life on? Are you building your life on the assump ons and theories of men? Are you quo ng the ancient Greek philosophers or are you res ng on the Word of God? I discovered that there are lots of people who could quote by heart what the different philosophers said, one after the other. They live their lives according to these human philosophies. They live on the assump ons of other men who themselves are failure in god’s eyes. Don’t just quote someone because he sounds good; first of all, find out how the power ended up. Many of those philosophers died as failures, so, much of the informa on we have of them was tainted with the opinions of some other people with suspicious credibility. The Lord Jesus told His disciples a parable about two builders; one built his house on the rock, the other built on sand. When harsh condi ons broke out against the two houses, the one on the rock remained standing but the one on the sand collapsed because it had a weak founda on. When everything around you is going down, if you don’t have a sure founda on, you’ll go down too! Your founda on should be God’s Word. “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away” (Mark 13:31). Unlike this world and everything in it, you can bank on the Word, it’ll never change. The Word is eternal; it is the sure and firm founda on! Build your life on the Word and not on human philosophies that change with the mes. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh (John 1:14); let Him direct the course of your life today.

BE WHAT GOD SAYS YOU ARE “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11)

God’s Word can do anything; it has divine ability to bring to pass what it promises and power to make alive whatever it says. When you listen to the Word, it can affect you and change you. It would change your way of thinking and your outlook on life. You see, from the very beginning, God created all things by His Word; He spoke and creation leapt into being. His Word formed everything we see today, and so when you hear it, and start operating in the light of it, it creates what it says in you and you would never know defeat, disappointment or failure. In our ministry, our motto is ‘making a difference with Christ ‘ and we know exactly what we’re talking about. When you come to Jesus, He gives you a life of difference that finds expression in all you do. You don’t live for nothing anymore; your life takes a dimension of impact all the way. Glory to God! This is bigger than religion! You can be all you choose to be. From the day you were born again, God gave you the ability to become. When Jesus met those fishermen in Matthew 44:18-19, He said to them, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men, “but what I’m really interested in today is what He didn’t say. He didn’t say, “Follow me, and try to be….’ He said “I will make you…” Whether He is making you a fisherman or fisher of men, or head-of-state or doctor, He can make you into whatever you ought to be. The point is that He is the One making you, and if He makes you, nobody can unmake you. Choose your place in life. God lives in you to make you become the dream you have in your heart. Don’t say, “But I don’t have any money,” because money is not what you need. Daisy Osborne said, “Work on being and on having, because with what you are, you will have.”

BORN FOR ABOVE ONLY “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures” (James 1:18)

God’s Word is something you do: it’s what you live by! The Bible says God has given birth to you through the Word. So you see, the Word of God is what you are! Remember James’ admoni on in James 1:22-24, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forge eth what manner of man he was.” This lets you know the Word of God is prac cable. The Word of God will put you over in any situa on. God gave you His Word to help you; He gave you His Word to take you from a low level of life to a higher and a be er one in Christ Jesus. He loves you and He is concerned about you. He has programmed everything around you to turn out for your good. He has done everything to make you not just a success but ‘an evident success.’ The Scripture says “that your profi ng may appear to all” (1 Timothy 4:15). That is evident success! That’s the way God is! He blesses you and li s you up un l you become a shining example for all to see. That’s why the Lord Jesus said in Ma hew 5:4, you are the light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden.

THE WORKING WORD By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth….. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast” (Psalm 33:6, 9)

I had been told for many years that the Bible is a religious book and a catalogue of different inspiring stories. But when I found out that it’s s ll working today and that I could pick out a Scripture and expect it to work for me, I was so thrilled. A lady who had a problem in her ribs for some years came to me for help years back on campus. I told her to sit down and I sat down in front of her with my Bible. “I’m going to preach the word of God to you. You’ll be healed and I wouldn’t have to pray because the Word works.” So I kept reading out beau ful healing Scriptures, explaining some of them to inspire her faith. Before I was through, she shouted that the pain was gone, Hallelujah! I’m inspired and challenged by the working Word! I’m inspired by the fact that the Word works. When I see what I say come to pass, I’m challenged to say more. It’s so exci ng to see wonderful miracles of Almighty God right before you. It’s a challenge; the challenge of the working Word. In Isaiah 45:11 God said, “….concerning the work of my hands command ye me,’ and in Job 22:28, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; and the light shall shine upon thy ways. “All these inspire me to do more and also speak the words of power. When you understand your identy in Christ and you’re convinced of the reality of the working Word, you’ll never carry a long face again. This knowledge will put a spring in your steps. If you would speak the Word in your home, to your business and finances, the atmosphere will change for good. That’s a guarantee because the Word truly works!

RECEIVE THE WORD AND BE RELIEVED Fools because of their iniqui es, are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destrucon” (Psalm 107:17-20)

Reading through the Scripture in Psalm 107:17-20, we learn that the people were afflicted because of their sins and ignorance, but they cried out to God for deliverance in their affliction. How did God respond? He sent them His Word. It was the Word that delivered them! No fire came down from heaven, no light shone around them, no angel appeared to them, but when the Word came to them and they received it, they were healed! The Word of God is alive and full of power; that means the Word is active, operative, energizing and effective. It doesn’t matter what you’re going through, if you would hear the Word and accept it, it would produce the results it talks about. “So if I’m in dire need in my life, what do I do? Do I have to wait for the Word to be sent to me?’ you ask. No! God has already sent His Word to address every situation you’ll ever face in life. He has sent His Word for your deliverance, healing, prosperity and spiritual advancement. God has given you the authority and ability to activate everything He wrought for you through Christ by the declaration of the Word with your own mouth. When you boldly confess the Word to your situation, it comes forth with the same power it would if God Himself had spoken. In situation, it comes forth with the same power it would if God Himself had spoken. In Hebrews 13:5-6 the Bible says “…. For he (God) hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” If the Word of God comes to a poor man, it will make him rich. If a sick man receives the Word, it will make him well. The Word of God in your mouth is full of living power; it’s active, operative, energizing, and effective. Declare the Word today, send it to your situation and bring the desired change.

ETERNAL LIFE IS OURS “And this is the record, that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 JOHN 5:11-12)

By Virtue of the New Birth, you received the life of God into your Spirit. The Bible Calls the life of God eternal life. Many have interpreted eternal life to mean life that doesn’t come to an end; life that is lived forever. No! That’s not what eternal life is all about. The word that is translated ‘eternal life’ or ‘everlasting life’ in the Bible is the Greek word ‘Zoë.’ This is one of such words the English Language cannot adequately render its full meaning. When the Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only bego en son, and whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlas ng life” (John 3:16), ‘everlas ng life’ here refers to Zoë, which is the life and nature of God; the very substance and essence of Divinity; the very quality of God’s being. So when you’re born again, you receive that very life and nature of God, that quality of God’s being; you become like Him, praise God! But you see, you’ve got to develop that life. As a human person, you’re required to develop your body by ea ng balanced diets and exercising your body regularly. That’s the way the vast poten als of the human body can be adequately harnessed. It’s the same spiritually! Spending quality me in fellowship with the Holy Spirit and studying the God’s Word will help ensure an effec ve development of the life of God in you. When you were born again, you were born with the nature and life of God in you. But that doesn’t guarantee your living to the full poten al of the God-life. You cul vate that life and develop it every day as you study God’s word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

MARKED BY RIGHTEOUSNESS “In this the children of God manifest, and the children of devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth his brother” (1 JOHN 3: 10)

The Bible lets us know in 1 John 3:10 that the devil has his children too, just like the father does. Jesus addressing the hard of hearing, said, “You are like your father the devil” (John 8:44), but glory be to God, we have the adop on of Sons! We have originated from the Word of God, which was from the beginning according to John 1:1-4: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life as the light of men.” In James 1:18 the Bible also declares that “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.” The greater One indwells us and we must be so conscious of His indwelling presence. He is tabernacled in us. We are of God and have overcome the world, because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). Those who are born again, not with corrup ble seed but incorrup ble, manifest the nature of the Father, which is love. The disciples who lived in the days of the Acts of the Apostles lived under the umbrella of love, releasing themselves to be taught, to grow, to care and to be used of God without resistance. “And they con nued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles” (Acts 2: 42-43). The life of a Chris an is en rely dis nct; you can observe that the apostles con nued steadfastly in four major areas, which were the areas of Doctrine, Fellowship, Breaking of bread and Prayers. The things we do constantly makes us different from the world.

GODS’S VERY LIFE “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 JOHN 5:11-12)

When you are born again, the very life of Christ is the life that you receive, Jesus said, “I am the Vine, ye are the branches” (John 15:4). If He’s the Vine and we’re His branches, it means the very life that flows through Him flows through us also. That life is what is called in the Greek language ‘Zoë’ – the God-life! It’s the very essence of divinity; it’s a special kind of life. When you let that life dominate you, it will destroy every disease; it will destroy every growth; it will paralyze every work of the devil! You see, you‘re not what you used to be! When you were born again, you received the life of God. This life is in His Son and he that hath the Son has life. This is the life that makes you super-human. You didn’t get it from your earthly father, you didn’t get it from your lineage, you got it from Jesus! He says “…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). You’ve got to cast away the wrong mentality: the defeat mentality, the poverty mentality and the weakness mentality. Cast them all down! Reject them from your life and make up your mind you will not be a defeated person. Make up your mind you will not be a vic m in life; there’s a new life for you. When you‘re conscious of the life of God in you, you will never waste your me praying for deliverance or seeking for a breakthrough, because you will discover that Jesus broke through you. He already placed before you an open door that no devil can shut. You’re a new crea on with the life, power and abili es of God func oning in you! All you need to do is show up and the devil will back off!

BORN OF THE SPIRIT “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (JOHN 3:6)

Jesus Christ didn’t die just for us to remain natural, mortal, vulnerable beings s ll subject to physical laws that limit us. Through His love sacrifice, we have been transformed from natural men into supernatural beings. Now it’s natural for us to do supernatural things by the power of God’s Spirit residing in us. In fact, it will be absurd and unnatural for a Chris an to live an ordinary life. It’s natural that we respond to situaons the way God would respond to them. Our revela on knowledge of who we are in Christ is progressive. The devil takes advantage of our ignorance of this to accuse us when we act contrary to our true nature. He tries to discourage us and give us a sense of guilt. When you realize that your growth in God is progressive, and you’re coming to full understanding of who you are in Him, then you wouldn’t let the devil hold you down with accusa ons of the mistakes that you’ve made. However, making progress in your life depends on you. You have to make a conscious effort at growing. You have to make up your mind to discover the depths of the nature of God in you. Realize that what you have received didn’t come cheap even though you received it freely. God had to pay the ul mate price to have you. What you have received came by sacrificing His best – His Son Jesus Christ. So for you to remain in the flesh and live a natural life a er receiving the life of Christ is to say that the sacrifice of God was useless and meaningless; that the redemp ve work Christ did was incomplete and unfinished. But we know that before He gave up the ghost on the Cross, He declared with His last breath, “It is finished!” The redemp ve work of God had been completely accomplished. Now man can live the supernatural life, naturally!

BIBLE IN A YEAR: John 13-15 PROCLAIMATION: My revela on knowledge of who I am in Christ is progressive daily, the devil will never have advantage in my life affairs in Jesus name.

BY BEHOLDING “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”(2 CORINTHIANS 3:18)

Nobody will do this for us; it is our responsibility, and as we do this, the ministry of the Word of God will transform our lives into the picture that we see in His Word. We must never lose sight of our calling as the children of God; it is the highest calling anyone could ever have in this life and we must esteem it highly. It is priceless. The Bible says that we were not redeemed by silver or by gold, but with the precious blood of God’s Son Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19).

WE ARE NOT SUBJECTS “I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world” (JOHN 17:14)

I loved to catch pigeons when I was a young lad, although I never really caught one. I would hide and watch as a bird landed, then as quietly as I could, inch my way closer and closer to it. Each time I got close, the bird moved forward just to maintain the distance between us, and whenever I got too close for its comfort or just close enough for me to go to grab, it would flap its wings and fly off, ending the game. Just as a bird operates on land and I the air, we also live in two worlds – the physical and the spiritual worlds. There’s so much wrong with the world’s system: economic crises, political chaos, destruction, disease, death, famine, war…but the Christian life shouldn’t be subject to any of these. God’s Word has taken us out of all that and has brought us into a good place in Christ Jesus. We’re not governed by the principles of this physical world. The Lord Jesus made this clear in John 17:16 where He said, “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” Our lives are hinged on higher and better laws that exist in the Kingdom of God, and these higher laws of the Kingdom are in the World of God. Whenever it seems like the problems of this world are gaining on you and want to overwhelm and frustrate you, simply switch to the higher laws in the Word of God! Those pigeons I chased as a kid always switched to the law of lift, a law higher that gravity, which I was subject to. They simply flew away to a convenient place where they couldn’t be disturbed by anything I was doing down on the ground. You can do the same today. Don’t wait until the devil is all over you, spread your wings in the spirit an fly on the higher laws of the Word of God! Move on to that higher place where the devil in the world can’t touch you and the adversary can only watch you from the ground in total frustration.

PARTAKERS “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corrup on that is in the world through lust”(2 PETER 1:4)

The iden ty crisis is probably the greatest problem in the world today. It’s the root of all wars, genocides, civil unrest and racial discrimina on. Sadly, many of God’s people are caught in the web of this iden ty crisis; they s ll don’t understand who they are in Christ, and un l we’re fully acquainted with our true personality in Christ, we can’t effec vely impact our genera on for God. We need to take out more me to study and meditate on God’s Word un l its truths completely soak into our spirits. Never base your understanding of the Scriptures on another man’s assump ons; find out the truth by yourself from the Bible. As you do, God would impart wonderful revela ons to your spirit and you’ll be er understand who you are in Him. According to the Scriptures, we have become sharers of God’s nature through the Word of God. This is not futuris c, it’s in the ‘now’. It’s something that has already taken place and is s ll going on through the cleansing power of God’s Word. This the greatest revela on the church will ever have in this final hour, and it will culminate in the glorious gathering of the Body of Christ unto Jesus at the rapture. So you see, the church of Jesus Christ is growing in knowledge and we’re reawakened to the reality of the living Word. We’re finding out that we’re not just followers of Jesus Christ. No, you’re not just a believer; something more actually happened in you when you believed. You became one with God in nature and quality of life. As you con nue building yourself by studying God’s word, you became more and more like Him in character and personality. That’s who you are; that’s what He has made you to be. Don’t ever be afraid to declare it boldly for all to hear!

BORN INCORRUPTIBLE “Being born again, not of corrup ble seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 PETER 1: 23)

The Greek word translated as ‘seed’ here is sperma, which means ‘sperm’ in English language. Thus we can read Scripture as “being born again not of perishable sperm but of imperishable sperm…” The sperm is the lifecarrying faculty of any living being. The Word of God is the Sperm of God, that means it’s the life-carrying faculty of God. The Word of God carries the character and nature of God. You were born again by the very seed of God, which came into you and produced God’s life in you. You may be able to grind a mind a man’s sperm to death. You can do the same to a plant’s seed. But the sperm of God is imperishable; it lives and abides forever. You were born again by that imperishable sperm. In Levi cus 17:11, God said, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood…”because He was talking to men living under the Old covenant. Now, in the New Testament He says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8: 11). The life of your flesh is no longer your blood but the Spirit, Hallelujah! We all need to meditate more on this truth for it to come alive in our spirit. No virus, bacterium or germ is potent enough to inflict any disease on you. It makes no difference whether you’re cer fied to be SS or AS, you’re alive and healthy by the Holy Spirit, not by any doctor’s diagnosis. If Jesus didn’t depend on blood to live and the Bible says “…as he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17), then don’t ever think your life depends on your physical blood type.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psalms 108-110 PROCLAIMATION: In the name of Jesus no virus, bacterium or germ is potent enough to inflict any disease on me in the name of Jesus Christ.

DON’T WAIT ANY LONGER “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 JOHN 5:11-12)

Some Chris ans think they’ll begin to live eternal life when they get to heaven. If you think eternal life starts when you get to heaven, you’ll miss out while you’re here on earth! Eternal life starts right here on earth. John said this life -eternal life- is in God’s Son Jesus and whosoever has the Son has this life. He was simply reitera ng the words of the Lord in John 5:24-26 where He said, “...as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.” If you’ve confessed the Son Jesus Christ and made Him Lord of your life, then His very life has been imparted to you and will dominate you. When Jesus came into your life, light came in and all the darkness le . Now that He resides in you, your life has ceased to be an ordinary human life. For you, eternal life has already begun right here on earth. This is what we have; this is who we are, and we must always be conscious of this iden ty. We’re not ordinary people. We’re born in God’s class of being; we have an inheritance in God. We have the essence of divinity, the eternal life of Almighty God in us. Hallelujah! All we need to do now is to s ck with God’s Word and keep saying it. Keep declaring what you have and before long it will become evident for all to see. No ce that ‘saying’ or ‘declaring’ is a con nuous process, it’s not something you do just once, a few mes or once in a while; there must be a consistency about it. No heir says he is an heir one day and tomorrow forgets his heritage. He maintains that consciousness and that way, nobody can deny him his inheritance. You are an heir of God and eternal life is your inheritance.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Proverbs 23-24 PROCLAIMATION:I am consistent in my declara on of Gods word for me concerning every area of my life in Jesus name amen.

MIND GOD’S BUSINESS FOR YOU “And have no fellowship with the unfrui ul works of darkness, but rather reprove them”(EHPESIANS 5:11)

The Scriptures let us know that there are frui ul works and there are unfrui ul works, and the Bible warns us to have nothing to do with the unfrui ul works of darkness but have everything to do with the frui ul works of Jesus. The Lord Jesus said in John 14:12, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” Here he talked about us doing greater works, and if you have observed the Scriptures closely, before He said these words, He had been talking about the works that He was doing. The works of the Lord Jesus were preaching and teaching the gospel of the Kingdom, healing people of their sickness and disease, cas ng out devils, raising the dead and performing all manner of miracles. This means that everyone who believes in Christ Jesus is en tled to do the same things Jesus did while He walked the face of the earth and live the same kind of life that He lived. Jesus went about His Father’s business, which was to restore lost mankind to the right rela onship with God. This is the kind of work I’m talking about. Now, not only did He say we will do the same things He did, He took it further when He said, “greater works than these shall he (you) do; because I go to my Father.” Now, if we’re involved with the kind of works Jesus did, the same glory, honour, peace, prosperity and power that went with Him then will go with us today.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Amos 1-4 PROCLAIMATION:I am preaching and teaching the gospel of the Kingdom, healing people of their sickness and disease, cas ng out devils, raising the dead in the name of Jesus.

GOD MADE IT EASY “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his sub lty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ”(2 CORINTHIANS 11:3)

God’s ways are not hard. He has made the crooked paths straight and the rough roads smooth for you. He has made the narrow paths wide for you. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. This is why the gospel is so easy – too easy for some people that they would rather take the hard road. You tell them, “You are free. Jesus has set you free. God has forgiven you and He’s not coun ng your sins against you anymore.” But they reply, “No, it can’t be that easy! You don’t have any idea the kind of things I’ve done. Not even God can forgive me of the evil things I’ve done? I am condemned to hell” Of what good to God is your going to hell? Why don’t you just accept the knowledge of the truth? Why don’t you walk in the reality of God’s Word and declare, “I’ve been forgiven, I’ve been set free. Now I can go before Him without inferiority, guilt or condemna on”? Because of the simplicity of God’s Word and his love, people would rather choose the hard road. You even see this when some Chris ans are cas ng out devils: “Devil, come out of her!” they shout, and when that demon doesn’t seem to respond, they begin to pull the lady’s hair and beat the living day lights out of her while that demon hides in there enjoying the ‘entertainment.’ Jesus never delivered the demon-possessed that way. All He did was speak the Word and out came those devils. Don’t allow the devil beguile you; don’t let him corrupt you mind against the simplicity of God’s Word. It may sound too simple or good to be true, but it’s just as simple and as good as it sounds. Don’t take the hard road. Because that’s exactly what Satan wants you to do. Receive God’s Word with a meek and humble heart today.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: John 16-18 PROCLAIMATION: Devils I am not ignorant of your lies and decep ons, you will never have a place in my life and its affairs. All that pertains me is for God and his eternal kingdom.

REFUSE THE LESSER “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows” (MATTHEW 10:29-31)

Many people live at a level lower than they really should because they’re in midated by everything and everyone around them. For instance, someone may deserve to have a promo on, a raise or an official car at work, but he doesn’t because he never asked for it. He feels someone at his level doesn’t deserve to have such things and shouldn’t even dare to ask for them. He says, “Do you know how many people are ahead of me who don’t have those things? How could I ever ask for so much?”Are you a child of God? Then don’t ever underrate yourself! Jesus is in you. You see, you may be en tled to a good housing allowance, but you didn’t realize it and never asked for it. You’re wai ng on the promo on that will take you one li le step a er the other un l you get there. Take a bold step and go ask for it with a kind smile. You deserve it because you’re a child of God! Get yourself dressed up and ready for the top. Square you shoulders and take your steps. Do you understand what I am talking about? Don’t be in midated by anybody. You’re the King’s kid. Everybody should turn and look at you when you step in. When you talk to people, they ought to be blessed by your words. Do you know there’s something about your smile? Use it. It’s a victor’s smile, a winning smile, and it’s influen al. It will attract to you the things and people you require to achieve your dreams. Value yourself. God wants to do great things and you’re the one He wants to use.

GOD YOUR PROGRAMMER “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighted in his way”(PSALMS 37:23)

It’s amazing how the steps of a righteous man are ordered of God. There are countless episodes in the Bible that demonstrate this fact. Remember the man Joseph? He played a prominent role in the history of Israel, to fulfill God’s dream for His chosen people. He not only saved the life of his family, but also rescued the en re na on of Israel from famine. Joseph was a man a er God’s heart with the yeast of God in him to rise. He rose from slave boy to overseer of Po phar’s house. When he was falsely accused of indecent behavior, Joseph was made worse than a slave; he was reduced to a prisoner, awai ng his final sentence. Some people are so bothered with where they are today. They’re so disturbed about their present situa on that they have no me to think or reason out their lives through God’s Word. The truth about Joseph was that he suffered when he was very young, but he also experienced God’s favor ay a very young age. Genesis 41:46 says, “And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh King of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt” Do you know Pharaoh took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand? He clothed him with fine linen and gold, had him ride in the second chariot which he had and made all the people bow their knees before him. This was Joseph, a foreigner and slave in the land of Egypt, an exprisoner, now turned a leader of the whole na on! Your life is not measured by what you are today, but where you’re going. One thing is certain though: complainers don’t go far, it’s only visionaries that do. So have a vision for your life and future today!

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Numbers 17-20 PROCLAIMATION:I have a glorious and progressive life, thank you father for making me aware by the ministry of your word to me I receive it with gra tude in Jesus name.

EXPAND “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habita ons: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the le ; and thy seed shall inherit the Gen les, and make the desolate ci es to be inhabited”(ISAIAH 54:2-3)

It’s just me for you to dream big for your finances, family, job or business. It’s a decision you must make. Your hour has come and nothing has been trained well enough to stop you. Romans 4:17 says God calls things that are not as though they were. That’s the present tense of God’s Word. That’s God’s language and it should become your language too. Don’t speak according to what you see or what has happened. Don’t speak according to your feelings or the circumstances. Speak according to what you want to see. Let that become your lifestyle. Dream big, then start calling things that be not as though they were. Your father is VERY big. Say to yourself right now, “My God is big, and He is with me. It’s impossible for me to fail. I can do all things through Christ- the Anointed One and His anoin ng, that strengthens me. Hallelujah! That’s my mentality. Every me the devil tries to tell me, “You can’t do this, you can’t have that, you can’t be this, you can’t go there...” I tell him, “Devil, you came more than 2000 years too late. Now I can, I can, I can! I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. I’m a victor in Christ...” When I get started, I could go on for a whole hour, just talking like that! “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Fail? Never! I can’t be defeated, because Jesus in me will never be defeated, He will never quit; He will never fail!” Stretch your vision now. This is your hour of victory; it’s your hour of glory. To some people, these are just mere words but to those of us who have made up our minds, these words are prophe c. Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch forth the curtains of your habita on, spare not, brother; sister, spare not!

A COMMAND FOR YOU “Arise [from the depression and prostra on in which circumstances have kept you – rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!”(ISAIAH 60:1 AMP)

What ma ers in life is not where you begin, but where you end. No ma er where you are today, you can shine, you can expand, you can begin to live your dreams. But you’ve got to rise first; you’ve got to wake up, you’ve got to get up and shake the dust of defeat off you! God is announcing this to you today; He’s the One telling you, “Come on, get up and shine!” Why? Your light has come! Don’t walk by your senses; don’t complain about what’s wrong with you anymore. Just because you don’t see the rays doesn’t mean the light is not there. When are you going to arise? When are you going to take off that cloak of sadness and have some sparkle in your eyes? When will your voice ring with joyful laughter again? When ill you give that shout of victory again? You say, “When God gives me my miracle.” Well, if you don’t shout now before you see the miracle, you’ll never shout, because you’ll never see it! Don’t say, “Alright, I’ll do it later.” That’s the devil’s way of tricking many out of their miracle. He tells them, “Not yet! You know you s ll have some things to se le with God.” When the devil starts talking to you, that’s when to do what those men did when they wanted to kill Stephen. They stuck their fingers in their ears so they wouldn’t hear Stephen anymore (Acts 7:57). Because they could s ll hear him, they started yelling at the top of their voices with their fingers in their ears. If you don’t want to hear the devil, start shou ng, “Glory to God, I’ve got the victory! Hallelujah!” You’ve got to learn it, because when you do this, you set up a force field around you to pull to you every desire of your heart. DO IT NOW! Begin to shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you!

CALLED MORE THAN CONQUERORS “... in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (ROMANS 8:37)

This Scripture is not a promise, it’s a statement of fact. Irrespec ve of what comes your way and the challenges you face, the presence of the Holy Spirit in you has made you more than able. You’re more than a conqueror. You and God make an unbeatable team. His ability is at work in you. Build your life in God with His Word. This you must do with all seriousness, because your faith is the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4). “Be careful, watch out for a acks of satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry lion, looking for some vic m to tear apart” (1 Peter 5:8 TLB). Yes, you have an adversary, but always remember that you’re not alone in your journey through life, for God lives in you! Don’t spend your me in useless ac vi es. Rather, spend more me with the word of God and build your rela onship with the Holy Spirit. As you do, He’ll supernaturally uproot every weed and shrub in your life. God is faithful; He’ll fulfill His part in your life. But there wouldn’t be anything to admire in your life if your part is le undone. Make relevant changes today and have a winning spree everyday of your life!

GOD’S INTENT FOR US “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmi es; but was in all point tempted like as we are, yet without sin” (HEBREWS 4:15)

According to the Bible, God never wants any of His children to be hurt. In other words, He feels your hurt when you’re sick, defeated and frustrated. He wants to see you victorious and successful. He can only get glory in your life when things are turning out well for you. Does this mean you won’t have any problems? No sir! You may not like to hear this, but in this life you’ll have loads of problems. That’s what guarantees that you’ll have victories as well, because within every problem is the seed of it’s solu on. No problem ever comes to you that God hasn’t already clearly ascertained that you’re able to deal with. Every problem that you face has been specifically designed for you. Never ask God, “Why me?” Why not you? “There hath no tempta on taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the tempta on also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13). God would only permit the problem you can overcome to come to you. Therefore, never let the story end with something that happened to you; it’s what you happened to that really ma ers. These aren’t my words but God’s. He told you that you’ve already overcome the world and everything in it, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. This Word is for everyone that’s living in Christ. Let Him help you, strengthen your heart and your hand to face all the challenges of life.

FROM THE HEART “...for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh” (LUKE 6:45)

I’ve o en heard people, including Chris ans, say, “Well, what I say doesn’t really ma er, it is what I have in my heart that is important. ”This isn’t true because the contents of your heart ma er a great deal! Your words are the products of the contents of the heart. The Amplified transla on of the book of Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the spring of life.” This means you should set security watch at the gatepost of your heart to scru nize the informa on that enters with the Word of God. This is why you need to take the Word of the Lord seriously. You can’t confess the Word when you don’t have the Word in you, and you won’t get the Word into you by watching television, spending endless hours talking with your friends or was ng me other irrelevant ac vi es. You must study the Word of God, master it, learn it and live by it. This is so important because what you have in you is what will come out of your mouth and what comes out of your mouth is what will govern your life. I exhort you today, just as the apostle Paul exhorted the Church at Colosse: “Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness...” (Colossians 3:16 Amp). When you soak a sponge in water long enough ll it becomes saturated, you’ll discover that water will ooze out of it at the slightest pressure. Likewise, be full of God’s Word so that when the devil tries to apply pressure on you, God’s Word will ooze out of you and He’ll flee from you. This won’t only get the devil off your back, it’ll also propel you on to a new and a higher realm of faith!

RESPONSE TO THE WORD “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (JOHN 6:63)

Some people get uncomfortable about the Word. When you start talking the Word of God around them, they look for an excuse to discuss something else or be somewhere else. They just can’t se le down to listen to the Word because they are carnal. The Word of God is spirit, and since the flesh and the spirit are contrary one to the other, the two can never be together (Gala ans 5:17). For such people, you have to talk about their interest first before subtly introducing God’s Word’ because they’re spiritual babies. They’re the ones always shi ing restlessly, yawning, dozing and even sleeping during services. Every part of their body feels like it’s in the wrong place; they feel as though they’re being punished. For those who have understanding and have matured, their most exci ng mes are when they’re with other believers, sharing the Word together. As the Psalmist said, they rejoice at the Word as one who finds great spoil (Psalm 119:162). These are unique people; they’re the ones who enjoy the words that flow out of the mouth of the Master. They’re the people who can sit at His feet three days without ea ng, just glad to listen to Him teach and preach the good news of the Kingdom, because His words are spirit and they are life to them. God wants you to love and understand His Word. He wants you to develop an unquenchable thirst and insaable desire for His Word. Then you’ll discover great treasures in the Word and have your life full of them.

BOTH SIDED “I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” PHILLIP 4:12

There was something very remarkable Jesus said in Luke 12:15. He said a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses. One reason why people become covetous is that they want to impress others but the truth is when you understand that your real value is not anything near what you have in the natural, you will stop trying to get something to impress people! That’s what the apostle Paul was talking about in our text for today. He has learnt to be contented with every condi on. You know some people just can’t fast because they can’t do without food! So what he is saying is know how to say no to food when necessary and how to refuse starva on when necessary. In other words, it doesn’t mean to se le for less or become a mediocre in life. You must understand that there are levels in life and God wants to train us to move from one realm of glory to the other. So at whatever level of glory you are func oning in now, be grateful to God for it. Do not selfishly desire the things of other people.

VIA REDEMPTION “I have blo ed out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee” ISA 44:22

MERRY CHRISMAS TO YOU One of the teachings in Chris anity that is s ll in its infancy today is the teaching on redemp on. Looking at the scripture above, the prophet gives a very wonderful illustra on of what redemp on is. When you look steadfastly in the cloud, you will discover that the cloud is always moving. Now, he tells us that like the cloud, God has blotted the transgressions and sins of His people. You will also observe that a er the cloud has moved away from you sight, you may never see that par cular cloud again. That brings us to the truth about redemp on. Redempon simply means to save by paying a ransom for someone’s wrong. So when Jesus was on the cross, the whole world’s sin was being paid for. A er He died, everyone in the world had paid for their sins but when He resurrected, the bible says He brought us a new life. Anyone that now believes in Him receives a brand new life. Hence you never had to be redeemed. The real you is the fruit of the redemp ve work of Jesus

TALK LIKE YOUR FATHER “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus” ACTS 4:13

Peter used to be a very shy and unlearned person unl he met Jesus. A er he met Jesus, he began to acquire knowledge of the things of God as he carefully followed the ministry and teachings of Jesus. He was fast to ask a ques on where he was in doubt and not too long, his ignorance was cured! That’s why it is important not just to go to church but to go to a church where the ministry and teachings of Jesus are in opera on. For instance, Jesus never allowed a sick person to remain in the congregaon where he taught. So you should never allow yourself remain in a congrega on where they teach that sickness is a way for God to humble His children. Secondly, Peter was once scared to be iden fied with Jesus a er He was arrested but something happened to him on the day of Pentecost. The Holy Spirit took over and Peter became a different man. He began to speak what Jesus had taught him with boldness and the people just knew he had been with Jesus. Make sure people can trace your conversa on to Jesus! Talk like Him.

RETURN NOW “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast le thy first love” REV 2:4

God is does not like His Kids inconsistent at all. He doesn’t want us blowing hot and cold. He doesn’t want you hot today and cold tomorrow. The bible says in Proverbs 4:18 “But the way of the upright is like the light of early morning, ge ng brighter and brighter ll the full day. (BBE)” His plan for you is that things will get be er and be er and be er, that’s what I call the ever increasing life “upward and forward life”. God says He has something against some of His kids because they have forgo en their first love. Can you remember the passion with which you went to church when you just got saved or the zeal with which you served in church some years or months ago? God is saying you should not leave or forsake your first love. Those things you did then to express your love for Him; go back to them and do them even more now. Don’t grow out of the realms of service. Refuse to be promoted to a class were you no longer study the word, pray or go to church.

YOUR EVER PRESENT “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever” JOHN 14:16

I already told you that Jesus was everything to His disciples. He was their friend, their father, their brother and everything to everyone. So the moment it dawned on the people that He was going to leave them, it was just normal for them to feel like they were about to lose something so dear to them. That was why Jesus comforted them with these words. He said He would ask the Father and He would give them another comforter. In other words, He was going to ask for someone who would be all Jesus was to them. For this to be possible, the person had to have similar characteris cs with Jesus. That’s why He used the term another comforter of the same kind. Now, the beau ful part of it is that the Holy Ghost was not just going to be with them for a while and go back to heaven like Jesus. He was meant to be with them forever. That is why the Holy Ghost leaves inside us. He follows you even to the toilet where no other person can. He is your ever present help!

WHAT A LOVE? “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not” 1 JOHN 3:1

When you take out me to meditate on the love of the Father for us, you can only end up talking like the Apostle John who said what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God. Think about this, the bible says “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” (Eph 2:4-5). This means God loved a world full of sinners, failures, sick folks, poor and wretched people so much that He gave Jesus to die for them. If God ended the deal here, He would have tried but He didn’t. Love wouldn’t let Him; He brought us into oneness with His once only bego en Son. So it now became impossible for Him to see us any different from the way He sees Jesus. That’s why the bible calls us Joint heirs with Christ (Rom 8:17) Become conscious of the fact that you are now a son in the house.

THE WORD WORKS “And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately” LUKE 8:47

I like to share something very special with you today a day to the last day of 2013 our year of dominion from this scripture. First, it is important for you to note that Jesus was actually the word of God in human form (John 1:1, 14). In other words, He was the living word. So anything Jesus did as a person in the bible is actually what the word of God can do for you. When you study the miracles of Jesus and see the way people responded to the person of Jesus for them to have their miracles, then you know exactly how to respond to the word of God to get your own miracles. You can bake your own miracles everyday of your life if you understand this concept. Don’t be the one that they have to drag before you go to church or study the word of God. As you learn the word of God, you are rela ng with the miraculous. The woman with the issue of blood pressed in just to touch Jesus. Think about how many people she must have passed by to reach Him. she was ready to go any length to get to Jesus. Don’t be sa sfied with Sunday meal alone. Go for the word of God at all cost. It will do you good.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Hebrews 1-4 PROCLAIMATION: I delight in the word of God with all my heart and my hunger, thirst and value for the word is increasing by the day in the name of Jesus.

THE REAL CONNECTION “And it came to pass a er the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi” GEN 25:11

It is important you note this before the commencement of 2014 .The bible is full of lots of goodies but some people just know how to see the woes in there. I have heard a lot of people talk about genera onal curses in the kingdom of God but not many of them have delved into the realms of genera onal blessings meanwhile it is more pronounced. Abraham was a blessed man and the bible records that after his death, the Lord blessed his son Isaac. It is important to note that Isaac did not receive any other promise from God but by virtue of being connected to Abraham, he enjoyed it. it did not even end with him, he passed it on to his own son Jacob. It is good to know your ancestors as a child of God. Remember that the promise God made to Abraham was to him and his seed Jesus Christ and the bible tells us that if we are Christ’s then we are also the seed of Abraham and heirs of the promise too (Gal 3:29). As a child of God, you already have the right connec on. All other human connec ons are secondary.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Numbers 25-28 PROCLAIMATION: Thank you Father for making me an heir to the promise you made to Abraham. I will never be disadvantaged in life because the world belongs to me and is under my control.
