New Flexible Spending Account Vendor

If you ’ ve ever been asked to submit documentation for expenses on your flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HRA) or dependent care account (DCA), you may have wondered, “Why do I need to provide a receipt when it’s my money in the first place? And why do they ask sometimes but not others?”

While many employees have been frustrated with ASIFLEX's requests for receipts, they have been based on IRS regulations, which became more stringent during COVID.

In response to employee concerns, PEBA has contracted with Total Administration Services Corporation (TASC), a new MoneyPlus (HSA, DCA, FSA) provider. The contract will take effect on January 1, 2024. With this new contract, the administrative fee for each flexible spending account will be reduced to $2.14 per month.

Hazards, Safety Suggestions and Maintenance Concerns

Did you know that failure to recognize hazards in the workplace is the #1 root cause of workplace injuries? Worker participation is key!

If you see a hazard do not wait report it! Reporting will help identify hazards, decrease incidents, and promote safety.

SAFETY SPOTLIGHT AWARD

The Quarterly Safety Spotlight Award was recently presented to Ed Cavadias, IT Manager. When an employee began having trouble breathing, they knew something was wrong. The employee went to Ed’s office seeking help. Ed did not panic, he stayed calm, called 911, and placed the employee in a position of comfort until first responders arrived.

The employee was treated and was cleared to return to work. Good job Ed for being alert and knowing exactly what to do.

IT IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE DO, BUT ALSO WHAT WE DO NOT DO, FOR WHICH WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE. -Molière
