This document has been prepared as the company's report in accordance with the Norwegian Transparency Act [Åpenhetsloven]

The Act requires companies to make sure that human rights and decent working conditions are respected in their operations and supply chain.

We are aware that our industry is complex and multidimensional. Implemented, or planned implemented measures, to prevent or reduce actual adverse impacts is about dealing with findings from the due diligence in a good way.

Prioritizing one or more risk areas based on severity does not mean that some risks are more important than others, but that those with the greatest negative impact are prioritized first. Mapping and prioritization is a continuous process.

This report covers the period of June 2022 to June 2023

3 ABOUT THE REPORT
“We know where we want to go, but we don’t have all the answers yet”
IDÉ Group Sustainability Report

IDÉ Group is a total supplier of promotional products.

We operate in all Nordic countries, across borders in Europe, and collaborate with factories and partners in Far East. This commitment entails increased social responsibility.

IDÉ Group works continuously to uphold human rights, contribute to sustainable development, and strive for the best possible environmental management at all stages of the value chain. We’ve therefore chosen to work systematically and purposefully with due diligence assessments in every level of the supply chain.

At IDÉ Group, we have a shared set of values where we hold ourselves accountable for our impact on the environment and society. We work on this every day, and it is reflected in our core principles, vision, and goals.

A common challenge for us is to convey this message to our partners and subcontractors, as well as influence customers to take their share of responsibility.

We organize internal events where we inform contract customers about this by using external and internal lecturers. We have noticed an increasing focus on ethical trade in society at large, including from our customers and partners.

IDÉ Group Sustainability Report

IDÉ House of Brands AS has been a member of Ethical Trade Norway since 2011. Over the years, we have focused, improved, gained knowledge, evaluated, and further developed all our processes, internally and externally. An ongoing effort that only becomes more important.

IDÉ Group does not accept forced labor, child labor, or any other degrading working conditions that violate human rights. We maintain a continuous dialogue with our main partners and all manufacturers regarding the conditions in the factories to uphold the minimum requirements they have committed to comply with. Through regular follow-ups based on the guidelines of Ethical Trade Norway and our own experiences, we see that systematic work yields results.

We are aware that our industry is complex and multidimensional. Therefore, we seek more transparency and knowledge-sharing within the industry. Based on our experience of working with sustainability for several years, we have received positive feedback from our customers, not least because they increasingly demand products that are 'sustainable' This report showcases our areas of focus, the measures, and processes we are working on, and the results achieved.

IDÉ Group Sustainability Report

IDÉ Group strive to have long-term relationships with contract partners, which includes brand suppliers, agents and manufacturers. We have a wide range of products and services, which means that we have many different type of partners.

Purchasing directly from manufacturers includes the production we do ourselves at factories. We call this “special production”. Special production is defined as modification of standard products, or newly developed products. If a standard product is modified in shape, color or choice of material, it falls under the category of special production.

We have 24 partners that manufacture goods for IDÉ. These factories are in China, Bangladesh, India, Thailand, Taiwan, South-Korea, Netherlands, Poland and Turkey. In addition, we’re trading special production via 12 agents, who finalize their goods in China, Poland, Taiwan and Thailand.

Special production accounted for 20% of our turnover in the reporting period. We do not have ownership in any of the factories we use.

11
IDÉ Group Sustainability Report

Purchases from agents and brand suppliers includes the products that have been manufactured and imported into the EU by one of our partners. We buy these products and decorate them with customer logos, before distributing them to our customers.

We have a written cooperation agreement with 233 partners. In order to control our supply chain, we have set a goal that 90% of our purchases should go via these partners. We call this "partner loyalty" The remaining 10% includes catering, purchase for office operations, warehouse rental, specific brands that customers request and so forth. The result for partner loyalty in in the reporting period were 86%

“We do our outmost to meet fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights and decent working conditions” IDÉ Group Sustainability
Report

IDÉ Group have a strong focus on social welfare, equality, and human rights. Our internal ethics are shaped by a combination of cultural values, historical context, and social policies.

While each Nordic country has its unique characteristics, there are some common ethical principles that can be observed in the region:

Social Welfare: The Nordic countries are known for their comprehensive welfare systems, which aim to provide a high standard of living and social security for all citizens. This includes universal healthcare, education, and social benefits to ensure a minimum standard of living for everyone.

Equality: Equality is a fundamental principle in Nordic ethics. These countries strive to reduce socio-economic disparities and promote gender equality. Policies such as progressive taxation, gender quotas, and strong labor unions contribute to creating more equal societies.

Human Rights: The Nordic countries place a strong emphasis on protecting human rights and individual freedoms. They have a long history of promoting civil liberties, including freedom of speech, assembly, and association. They also have laws and institutions in place to protect marginalized groups and combat discrimination.

Environmental Sustainability: Environmental consciousness is another important aspect of Nordic ethics. These countries prioritize sustainable development, renewable energy sources, and eco-friendly practices. They have been at the forefront of international efforts to combat climate change and promote environmental protection.

Transparency and Accountability: Nordic societies value transparency and accountability in both public and private sectors. They have robust systems to prevent corruption, promote open governance, and ensure public officials are held accountable for their actions.

Trust and Social Cohesion: Nordic societies foster a sense of trust and social cohesion among their citizens. This is supported by high levels of social capital, including trust in institutions, strong community engagement, and a cooperative mindset.

OUR INTERNAL ETHICS

OUR EXTERNAL ETHICS

We strive for long term relationships with our suppliers, which we call “partners”

Guidelines for our partners have been developed as a complement to our Policy for Responsible Business Conduct.

We expect our partners and their subcontractors to work focused and systematically to comply with our guidelines, including our Code of Conduct, which cover basic requirements for human rights, labor rights, anti-corruption, animal welfare and the environment. These principles for responsible business conduct are based on UN and ILO conventions and provide minimum, not maximum standards. The relevant legal framework at the place of production shall be respected. Where national laws and regulations address the same subjects as these guidelines, the most stringent shall apply.

Our partners is obliged to provide us information on how due diligence assessments are carried out, and how negative consequences on basic human rights and decent working conditions are handled. This is in accordance with the information obligation in the Transparency Act [Åpenhetsloven]

14
IDÉ Group Sustainability Report
“We strive for long term relationships with our partners because we believe that togetherness can make a difference.”

IDÉ Group strive to have a sustainable business practice that respects people, society and the environment

The CEO is formally responsible for the work on due diligence assessments for sustainable business practices. The operational responsibility is divided between the sustainability management and the procurement department. The daily executive work lies with the procurement department, where category managers are responsible for suppliers (hereafter referred to as partners) in each category. The procurement department is in Norway, but works for all departments, in all countries.

The CSR manager has the operational responsibility for due diligence assessments and reports to the Nordic Purchasing Manager, whom in turn reports to the CEO for IDÉ Group. Reporting takes place via quarterly reports, that are approved by the Managing Director in Norway and CEO for IDÉ Group.

As a member of Ethical Trade Norway, we undertake to work actively with due diligence assessments for responsible business practices.

The foundation for this work is Ethical Trade Norway’s Declaration of Principles (code of conduct) which covers the areas decent work, human rights, environment/climate, anti-corruption and animal welfare. Due diligence assessments are a riskbased approach to respect and look after people, society and the environment, in our own business and throughout the supply chain.

DUE DILLIGENCE 15
IDÉ
Sustainability Report
Group

Our EHN report is based on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD model for Due Diligence for Responsible Business Conduct.

The model has six steps that describe how companies can work for more responsible and sustainable business practice. However, being good at due diligence does not mean no negative impact on people, planet and the society. It means that the company is open and honest about challenges faced and shows how this is managed in the best possible way in collaboration with its stakeholders.

IDÉ Group Sustainability Report

IDÉ Group carry out ongoing risk assessments of existing partners and products.

Before entering cooperation with new suppliers, a qualification process is carried out where the manufacturer answers an ESG survey.

CEMAsys' ESG platform helps us to evaluate suppliers based on quality standards and business practices, including information on environmental and social conditions. The system helps us to map our partners and to have an overview of the information and documentation obtained. This information is used in the risk assessments, together with EHN's risk mapping tool, which helps us to identify the business' priority risk areas, which is employee rights, violations of human rights and environmental impact. Other sources we often use are CSR Risk checker and Forced/Child labour risk

Workers' rights: Low wages and overtime work are a major challenges in China, Bangladesh and Turkey. The same applies to health, environment and safety in the workplace.

Violation of human rights: In India, our concern is child labour, discrimination and unhealthy working conditions. Tanneries are very dangerous, where workers often work without adequate protection. There is also a great danger of child labour in Bangladesh, China and Turkey. These are countries where IDÉ has partners.

Environmental impact is a global challenge. Climate change is visible and knows no national borders. The use and release of harmful chemicals is widespread in all parts of the supply chain. Another challenge is waste, material use and lack of raw materials. As a result of our desire to contribute in a positive way we’ve become a bluesign®systempartner. Bluesign works long-term in close collaboration with system partners to exclude materials that are hazardous to health or the environment in the entire textile production chain from fiber, yarn, dyes and additives, to finished fabric and product. In addition, emissions into water, land and air are also minimized and the use of resources such as water and electricity. A third aspect is working conditions in the factories in terms of health and safety.

The parts of our business that’s not covered in this report are rental of computer equipment, purchases for office operations, catering, specific brand suppliers where we do not have a collaboration agreement, our own warehouse, printing and transporters. These parts of the operation are not prioritized because the turnover volume is low.

18 IDÉ Group Sustainability Report

EMPLOYEE RIGHTS

Wages and working hours

Goal:

Our goal is that everyone who works in factories that manufacture goods for IDÉ Group should have good working conditions and a salary they can live on.

Status:

We are aware that our purchasing practices can affect wages and working hours in a negative direction. This is a topic we are often in dialogue with customers, who press us on price and delivery time.

Implemented measures:

We have participated in "Living Wage” webinars organized by Ethical Trade Norway.

Based on this knowledge, we’ve started dialogue with 2 of our closest partners regarding living wages.

As we do not have ownership in any factories, we find it difficult to influence wages.

In Bangladesh, we have chosen to reduce our collaboration to 1 partner. This partner has a Swedish owner, who himself has invested and built 2 factories. The factories have advanced machines, which require trained workers. They have a nursery and their own nurse. All the workers are local and permanently employed. With this partner, we have started a dialogue about salaries.

Goal for next reporting period:

Gain even deeper knowledge of how our purchasing practices affect low wages and involuntary overtime. We shall communicate this to a greater extent with our customers. Our aim is to improve our purchasing routines, so that we do not contribute to negative consequences.

We shall be a fair partner and we care about our selected partners working conditions. We will continue to inform our customers about the negative consequence pressure on price and delivery time can have on low wages and involuntary overtime work.

19
IDÉ Group Sustainability Report

HUMAN RIGHTS VIOALATION

Child labour and forced labour

Goal:

IDÉ Group does not accept forced labor, child labor, or any other degrading working conditions that violate human rights

Status:

We have mapped all the partners we use for our own special production where child labor and forced labor are a risk. We have not uncovered any specific violations, but that does not provide any guarantees.

Implemented measures:

Our EGS survey in 2022 did not reveal any concrete violations, but that does not provide any guarantees. Mapping and follow-up is a continuous process, and we will continue to communicate with our partners.

We do not have our own production of textiles in India and have limited production sites in Bangladesh to 1 partner.

Goalfornextreportingperiod:

IDÉ Group must ensure that no child labor or forced labor occurs in the factories we use for our own special production.

IDÉ Group will become a member of Amfori BSCI, so that we can add more expertise partners to our own business. The reason for this decision is that we see the network as valuable, and that we want to make use of their expertise and training programs. Another goal is to find new partners in Europe, so that we can move our own production closer to home and to less risky countries.

20
IDÉ Group Sustainability Report

Goal:

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

IDÉ Group recognizes that our business activities can have a negative impact on the environment. We have an environmental responsibility that goes beyond legal and regulatory requirements and consider sustainable business practices as a prerequisite for sustainable development.

Status:

We are committed to reduce our environmental impact and to continuously improve our environmental results. That is why we make climate accounting on scope 1 and 2 and compensate by buying climate quotas.

Implemented measures:

We report annually on scope 1 and 2.

We are proud to plant mangrove trees as compensation for our greenhouse gas emissions. These official climate quotas finance 80 mangrove trees per tonne of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emitted. In addition to the climate effect, the project provides work and income for the local population, which supports three of our SDGs: goal 4, 8 and 13

All employees receive a tree as a birthday present, supplied by Treebytree. This helps to regreen Africa and increases focus on our internal goals. We have signed up as bluesign® system partner so that we can contribute to ensure that harmful chemicals are not used in the production of textiles and raw materials.

Goalfornextreportingperiod:

We will incorporate circular economy into our product development. We will raise employee awareness and provide the necessary training. We will raise our partners' awareness and provide the necessary education. We will report on scope 1 and 2 and compensate by buying climate quotas. We will report on parts of scope 3 (company travel and waste) and calculate greenhouse gas emissions on products to provide guidance to our customers, as well as to make better choices ourselves.

Where possible, we shall use recycled materials and label the products with correct waste management, so that waste that can be recycled is recycled. We must continuously improve and reduce our negative environmental impact.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS CONDUCT

Our policy for responsible business conduct, including our Code of Conduct, forms the foundation of our sustainability work.

The principles are based on UN and ILO conventions and provide minimum, not maximum standards. The relevant legal framework at the place of production shall be respected. Where national laws and regulations address the same subjects as our guidelines, the most stringent shall apply.

IDÉ Group is aware that we might have a negative impact on people, society and the environment. At the same time, we see our potential to contribute to positive development in the supply chain and consider responsible purchasing practice as one of our most important tool in the work for sustainable business practice. Our goal is to maintain long-term relationships with partners that show willingness and ability to work with positive development in the supply chain.

IDÉ Group shall conduct due diligence for responsible business conduct. This involves; conducting risk assessments to identify potential negative impact on people, society and the environment and to stop, prevent and reduce such impact. The measures put in place are monitored and their effect evaluated. The measures are communicated to those affected by our actions. If our activities are found to cause or contribute to negative impact on people, society or the environment, we will stop the activities and seek to provide remedy. If our supplier is responsible for the negative impact, the supplier is responsible for providing remedy.

We expect our partners to work focused and systematically to comply with our guidelines for suppliers, hereunder our Code of Conduct, that covers fundamental requirements on human rights, labor rights, anticorruption, animal welfare and the environment.

This way we lay the foundation for collaboration with suppliers that show the willingness and ability to work on positive development for people, society and the environment in the supply chain.

ANTI-CORRUPTION

IDÉ Group, including all employees, shall never offer or receive illegal or inappropriate monetary gifts or other remuneration to achieve private or business benefits in their own interest or in the interest of customers, agents or partners.

CARBON ACCOUNTING

Our report provides an overview of IDÉ Groups’ greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which is an integrated part of our climate strategy.

Carbon accounting is a fundamental tool in identifying tangible measures to reduce GHG emissions. The annual carbon accounting report enables us to benchmark performance indicators and evaluate progress over time.

The input data is based on consumption data from internal and external sources, which are converted into tones CO2-equivalents (tCO2e).

The carbon footprint analysis is based on the international standard; A Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, developed by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Initiative (GHG Protocol). Annual Key Energy and Climate Performance indicators for IDÉ Group

Scope 1 includes all direct emission sources. This includes all use of fossil fuels for stationary combustion or transportation, in owned and, depending on the consolidation approach selected, leased, or rented assets. It also includes any process emissions, from e.g., chemical processes, industrial gases, direct methane emissions etc.

Scope 2 includes indirect emissions related to purchased energy; electricity and heating/cooling where the organization has operational control. The electricity emission factors used in Cemasys are based on national gross electricity production mixes from the International Energy Agency’s statistics (IEA Stat).

Emission factors per fuel type are based on assumptions in the IEA methodological framework. Factors for district heating/cooling are either based on actual (local) production mixes, or average IEA statistics.

CARBON OFFSETS

IDÉ Group takes responsibility beyond our value chain, by investing in the tree planting project “Thor Heyerdahl Climate Park”, which is in Ayeyarwady Region of Myanmar. The project is certified and aligned with the SDG’s (Sustainable Development Goals) for societal and environmental enhancement. This moves society in the right direction to reach a low-carbon economy.

We are proud to plant mangrove trees to compensate for our greenhouse gas emissions.

One mangrove tree can bind one tonne of CO₂ in the ground over the course of 25 years. This means that 1 mangrove tree is the same as 1 climate quota.

IDÉ Group burdened the environment with 55 tCO2e on scope 1 and 2 in the year 2022. To compensate for this emission, we have bought 2,500 pc. mangrove trees, which is a compensation equivalent to 80 times our own emissions.

“Reversing deforestation is complicated; planting trees is simple”
IDÉ Group Sustainability Report

In addition to the climate effect, the project provides work and income to the local population, which supports two of our sustainability goals: goal 4 Quality Education and Goal 8 Decent work and economic growth.

Planting mangrove forests create local jobs both directly through breeding and planting, but also indirectly by strengthening the livelihoods of local communities. Planting new mangrove forests binds CO2 from the atmosphere through photosynthesis and thereby contributes to mitigating climate change. One new mangrove tree can bind approximately 1 tCO2 over a twenty-year period.
