EMPLOYEE RIGHTS

Child labour and forced labour

Goal:

IDÉ Group does not accept forced labor, child labor, or any other degrading working conditions that violate human rights

Status:

We have mapped all the partners we use for our own special production where child labor and forced labor are a risk. We have not uncovered any specific violations, but that does not provide any guarantees.

Implemented measures:

Our EGS survey in 2022 did not reveal any concrete violations, but that does not provide any guarantees. Mapping and follow-up is a continuous process, and we will continue to communicate with our partners.

We do not have our own production of textiles in India and have limited production sites in Bangladesh to 1 partner.

Goalfornextreportingperiod:

IDÉ Group must ensure that no child labor or forced labor occurs in the factories we use for our own special production.

IDÉ Group will become a member of Amfori BSCI, so that we can add more expertise partners to our own business. The reason for this decision is that we see the network as valuable, and that we want to make use of their expertise and training programs. Another goal is to find new partners in Europe, so that we can move our own production closer to home and to less risky countries.

Goal:

Environmental Impact

IDÉ Group recognizes that our business activities can have a negative impact on the environment. We have an environmental responsibility that goes beyond legal and regulatory requirements and consider sustainable business practices as a prerequisite for sustainable development.

Status:

We are committed to reduce our environmental impact and to continuously improve our environmental results. That is why we make climate accounting on scope 1 and 2 and compensate by buying climate quotas.

Implemented measures:

We report annually on scope 1 and 2.

We are proud to plant mangrove trees as compensation for our greenhouse gas emissions. These official climate quotas finance 80 mangrove trees per tonne of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emitted. In addition to the climate effect, the project provides work and income for the local population, which supports three of our SDGs: goal 4, 8 and 13

All employees receive a tree as a birthday present, supplied by Treebytree. This helps to regreen Africa and increases focus on our internal goals. We have signed up as bluesign® system partner so that we can contribute to ensure that harmful chemicals are not used in the production of textiles and raw materials.

Goalfornextreportingperiod:

We will incorporate circular economy into our product development. We will raise employee awareness and provide the necessary training. We will raise our partners' awareness and provide the necessary education. We will report on scope 1 and 2 and compensate by buying climate quotas. We will report on parts of scope 3 (company travel and waste) and calculate greenhouse gas emissions on products to provide guidance to our customers, as well as to make better choices ourselves.

Where possible, we shall use recycled materials and label the products with correct waste management, so that waste that can be recycled is recycled. We must continuously improve and reduce our negative environmental impact.
