Hundreds Of Care Packs Delivered To The Elderly At Hillingdon Hospitals

ICTS UK & Ireland, in partnership with one of our aviation clients, delivered hundreds of care packs to the elderly at Hillingdon Hospital’s Beaconsfield East and Rockwood wards. The packs, which included bathrobes, pyjamas and toiletries, were gratefully received by the patients in the lead-up to Christmas.

Alan Dutt, Executive Director of Aviation Security Services, ICTS UK & Ireland, said, “We took some time out of our busy schedules to come together and hopefully make a difference to the many elderly patients who unfortunately had to spend the festive period in hospital. In addition to the care packs, we brought 38 boxes of chocolates for the staff on the wards to enjoy. I would like to thank our client and ICTS Team for their involvement and support with this special initiative.”

Hillingdon Hospital is an acute and specialist services provider very close to London Heathrow Airport where ICTS has a large operational presence. The majority of our aviation team live and work around London Heathrow Airport and Hillingdon Hospital in NorthWest London lies at the heart of our community.

One of my close friends had a baby born very prematurely, thankfully all was well in the end, but throughout the experience my friend’s family got a lot of help from a premature baby charity which organised cycle challenges to help fundraise. Being a keen cyclist, I saw this as a good opportunity to do something to help other people in similar circumstances. My friend was originally going to also take part however has had to drop out, but the challenge was too exciting for me to miss out on!

We will be cycling from London to Paris over 4 days. Day 1 is London to Dover where we get the ferry to Calais. Then over the next 3 days we work south from Dover to Paris, through Arras & Compiegne, covering well over 300 miles in total. The charity I am raising money for is Action Medical Research, who fund vital research to help defeat diseases that can devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people.”

The minimum amount of sponsorship is £1,750 and I have raised £1,500 already, and am hoping to get through the £2,000 barrier.”
