CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR RETIREMENT, Glenn Kingsbury!

IBEW Local 103 would like to give our most sincere congratulations to Glenn Kingsbury, who retired in June after serving for 20 years as the executive manager of the National Electrical Contractors Association of Greater Boston.

Under Glenn’s leadership, Local 103 and our NECA contractors’ association have forged a powerful labormanagement partnership that has elevated the union electrical sector to new heights across Greater Boston. We have grown the ranks of our union electrical contractors, continued to refine and perfect our Joint Apprentice Training Center, and embarked on new and exciting joint marketing initiatives, including partnerships with the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. Also under Glenn’s leadership, IBEW Local 103 signed the most progressive contract in our union’s history with our NECA partners, making unprecedented strides in the wages and benefits of each IBEW Local 103 member. Glenn has served our region’s construction industry for 40 years. We owe him our deepest gratitude and wish him a well-deserved, happy and peaceful retirement with his beautiful family!

Congratulations, also, to Kristen Gowin, who will succeed Glenn as the executive manager of NECA Greater Boston. Kristen will make history as the first woman to serve in this role, and the accolade could not be better-earned. IBEW Local 103 has had the privilege to work with Kristen over the past 5 years while she served as NECA’s Assistant Manager, making many critical contributions to our joint mission of advancing the electrical construction industry. We look forward to many more years of fruitful collaboration!

Kristen Gowin
