Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) is a major international arts event committed to presenting great classics and new creations from exceptional companies and artists from around the world to audiences in Hong Kong. With its long history as an advocate for the performing arts, the Festival contributes to many aspects of life: whether in terms of cultural and economic impact or arts education, HKAF has enhanced the city’s reputation and enriched the lives of people in Hong Kong and beyond.
香港藝術節是國際藝壇中重要的文化盛事，致力為香港觀眾呈獻眾多 來自世界各地的演藝名家的經典作品及新創作。作為擁有悠久歷史的 表演藝術提倡者，藝術節為提升生活質素作出了許多方面的貢獻：無 論在文化和經濟影響，還是在藝術教育方面，香港藝術節都提升了城 市的聲譽，豐富了香港市民以及海外人士的生活。
Since 1973, HKAF has annually presented outstanding international artists and local talent across all genres of the performing arts, from beloved classics to innovative new works and new forms.

To enrich the Festival experience and enable interaction between artists and audiences, HKAF offers a diverse range of ancillary and educational events for students and for the general public.

Over the years, HKAF has commissioned and produced over 200 local productions, including works in theatre, chamber opera, music and contemporary dance. Many return with successful subsequent runs in Hong Kong and overseas. We strive to produce innovative and daring new creations that extend traditional boundaries set in previous works.

At Home and Abroad ••••••••••••••
HKAF-commissioned productions not only receive recognition locally, but also gain international exposure with critical acclaim. They have reached audiences around the world on tours to cities such as Shenzhen, Shanghai, Singapore and London.
香港藝術節委約的本地製作，不僅在本地獲得認可，更在國際舞台上備受好評。
這些作品曾經巡迴世界不同城市演出，包括深圳、上海、新加坡及倫敦，接觸各 地的觀眾。
HKAF has collaborated with artists from Mainland China, Taiwan, Germany, France, the UK, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, the US and many more. In exploring new thematic possibilities and creative concepts, we also set out to expand the international reach of the Festival through these collaborations.

Out To The Community
HKAF is distinguished by the depth of its commitment to and investment in arts education. Over three decades, HKAF has developed many successful arts education projects for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary students in Hong Kong, reaching close to 20,000 students annually.
香港藝術節以支持和投入藝術教育見稱。三 十年來，香港藝術節為本地小、中和大專學生 提供多項藝術教育活動，每年有超過20,000 名學生參與。

Youth ••••••
Since its establishment in 1992, HKAF’s Young Friends scheme has reached over 730,000 local secondary and tertiary school students; aggregate membership of Young Friends has exceeded 154,000. Young Friends enjoy special access to HKAF performances and events, and specially produced performances by local and international artists, as well as training and volunteering opportunities.
自1992年成立以來，香港藝術節「青少年之友」已接觸逾730,000位 本地中學生及大專生，總計會員人數超過154,000人。「青少年之友」 享有專屬途徑參與香港藝術節的演出及活動、本地及國際藝術家特別 製作的特備節目、相關訓練及義工服務。
The Festival also organises a wide range of outreach programmes such as the Artists-in-Residence Project, school-based projects, arts appreciation performances, workshops and many more for the younger generation aged 6 to 25.
藝術節同時為6至25歲的青少年及兒童提供多元化的外展計劃，如駐 節藝術家計劃、校本項目、導賞表演及工作坊等。

HKAF organises diverse Festival PLUS activities in numerous locations across the city, many in partnership with other local organisations. The Festival believes in the importance of active engagement, and fosters interaction between artists and audiences.

Secured government baseline funding for the Festival amounts to only approximately 14% of its total annual budget. The generosity of our supporters plays a vital role in making sure the Festival can continue to present the world’s finest artists, as well as the various education programmes for the local community each year. The Festival views the business community and charitable foundations, as well as individual supporters, as highly valued partners, who help to enrich and enhance Hong Kong’s cultural life and encourage cross-cultural exchange.
Private sector sponsorship and donations enable us to present world-class international and local artists, commission new works, nurture local talent, and invest in arts education.
香港特區政府的基本撥款約佔藝術節年度總收入的14%。支持者的慷慨捐 款確保藝術節能夠繼續呈獻國際優秀藝術家的作品，及每年繼續為本地社 區舉辦各種教育計劃，非常重要。藝術節視商界、各慈善基金以及熱心人士 為重要的合作夥伴，他們協助豐富香港的文化生活，促進跨文化交流。

Festival Donation Scheme ••••••••••••••
Contributions to the Festival Donation Scheme help to provide funding for the area that need the most support, and enables the Festival to continue to stage high quality performances, commission original creations and reach out to young audiences in Hong Kong.
藝術節捐助計劃的捐款為藝術節最需要支持和發展的項目提供資金，使藝術節能夠繼續製作 高質量的演出、委約原創作品及培育香港的年輕觀眾。
Student
Ticket Scheme
Proceedings to the Student Ticket Scheme are used to subsidise Festival tickets for local full-time students at a 50% discount, enabling the younger generation to become involved in the Festival. This Scheme make available approximately 10,000 half-price student tickets each year.
學生票捐助計劃籌得的所有款項，全數用於資助本地全日制學生以半價優惠購買藝術節門票，好讓 年輕一代參與藝術節活動。學生票捐助計劃的捐款每年提供約10,000張半價學生票。
New Works Scheme
The Festival is committed to promoting original works, and has commissioned and produced many critically acclaimed productions in the past. Donations to the New Works Scheme enable the Festival to produce more innovative performances.
藝術節致力推廣原創作品，過去曾委約及製作多套備受好評的作品。新作捐助計劃的捐款，令藝術 節可以製作更多新作品。
