reer took a brief de- tour. ìI wanted to have some hands-on experience in management and staffing. You donít get that kind of experience in Dental school. I started a company called Safe Hands. We sold latex gloves.
Dr. Plummer has a few reasons to smile; she is married to Marc Metze Esq. with an amazing family of five boys, has two Successful dental practices and runs a non-profit organization. Since childhood, Dr. Plummer seemed predestined to wear medical supply couture for a living. ìMy dad is a dentist and I worked with him since I was twelve.
From there Dr. Plummer enrolled at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. After graduating in 1999, she started her own practice in Pearland, TX and in 2010 she opened a second practice in the historic Houston Museum District. ìIíve been a dentist now for twelve years, she states proudly. ìWe do dentistry but create a relaxing ambience in the Museum District practice, Maxwello II and a more family oriented environment in our Pearland location.

Dr. Plummerís success has not insulated her from giving back to her community. ìMy nonprofit organization is called Career Smiles. I work with other non-prof- its that have clients who have cosmetic dental issues.î Their services are paid via funding and sponsorships. Dr. Plummer has done extensive training in cosmetic dentistry through continuing education and is certified with Invisalign, ClearCorrect, Fastbraces and sleep apnea; all while pursuing a fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. ìI honestly love creating beautiful smiles,î she says. ìA smile truly exudes confidence.
