IMPROVEMENTS ADDRESSED ON THE EAST COURSE
DRAINAGE IRRIGATION INFRASTUCTURE
A state-of-the-art irrigation system overhauled all of the irrigation heads, valves, and the central control system to efficienty distribute the proper amount of water to the turf grass.
An all new engineered drainage system raised drain basins and pipes and channels water to the lake system. This helps prevent cart-pathonly restrictions.
LAKE BANKS
Lake banks were stabilized with bulk heads to prevent erosion and for maintain safe conditions for golfers.
TURF UNIFORMITY
The course was completely regrassed with Celebration® which performs best in studies for wear & shade tolerance, recovery and drought resistance.
BUNKERS TEES
New liners were installed to prevent washouts and rocks coming through the sand also prolonging the life of the sand from rain events. More usable space was gained with level tee surfaces. Black (forward) tees were added while some forward tees were added to accommodate increased rounds.
CART PATHS SHADE ISSUES
Newly pathed cart paths protect the turf from damage caused by excessive cart traffic and wet conditions.
Foliage and landscaping was addressed to ensure sunlight, air movement, water and nutrients getting to the turf.
LOW ELEVATION PUTTING SURFACES
Low elevation areas were raised and corrected to prevent flooding and turf loss during rain events.
EAST COURSE SOLUTIONS
Greens were revitalized to drain efficiently and immediately improve the golfer’s game when chipping and putting.
The East Course improvements enhance the overall aesthetics while optimizing pace of play, providing an elevated experience for all players.
Highlights of the renovations:
Elevating low-lying areas giving quicker playability after heavy rain.
Adding and repairing drainage
New bulkheads to prevent erosion of lake banks.
Updating the irrigation system and infrastructure
Re-grassing the entire course with Celebration grass.
Leveling, adding, and enlarging tees
Re-shaping and adding liners to the bunkers
Improved surface drainage and gaining once lost surfaces on the greens.
