For entry into Year 7 in September 2025, applications should be made by Monday 2nd December 2024
After seeing Hulme Grammar School in action, and meeting students, staff and governors at our Open Event, we invite you to submit your applications ahead of the deadline on 2nd December 2024.
Upon receipt of the completed application, prospectivestudentswillbeinvitedtoschoolto take our Year 7 entrance exam in January 2025,aswellasenjoysomeofourfantasticcocurricular activities and get a feel for Hulme schoollife
The entrance examination consists of papers in English, Mathematics and Non-Verbal Reasoning You can find links to free resources ontheAdmissionsareainourwebsite
Applicants who pass the exam will then be invited to interview, and those who are successful will receive an offer letter in early February 2025, ready to take up a Year 7 place inSeptember2025
Once offers have been made and accepted, we invite offer holders and their families to school to familiarise themselves with Hulme and ask any outstanding questions they may have at our OfferHoldersEvent.
We want to help new pupils settle down quickly and happily into our school routine, so we invite them to spend a day with us in June where they can meet each other, some of their teachers, andexistingpupilsintheSchool
If your child has a disability or requires assistance, please provide this information on the application form so that we can make the appropriate arrangements on the day of the examination

The current annual fees for entry to Hulme are as follows Fees increase yearly after a review by the Governing Body.
Pre-Prep: £10,380
Prep: £10,380 +VAT from January 2025
Senior School: £14,211 +VAT from January 2025
Sixth Form: £14,211 +VAT from January 2025
International Students: £23,000 +VAT from January 2025
The School is also able to offer a number of Hulme Bursaries to pupils entering Senior School in Year 7. They are awarded to candidates who demonstrate academic excellence or potential during entrance procedures and are meanstested Full details are on our website, including thresholds and more
Transport
We like to ensure that Hulme is easily accessible to pupils from a wide geographical area through the provision of a number of coaches on appropriate routes which terminate at the School We are also close by to a range of public transport routes, details of which can be found on our website.
Lunch Arrangements
The School operates a cafeteria system for lunch, and offers a wide range of hot and cold meals daily which are both delicious and nutritious. Packed lunches may also be brought to school Payment for lunches is by a smart card system. This is the same card that is used for access to school buildings and to borrow resources from the library.
