greb, djeca svih uzrasta mogla su, zahvaljujući športskim savezima i klubovima, zaigrati više športova, a neke i upoznati — softbol, ragbi, skvoš, mačevanje. Uz uživanje u brojnim športskim aktivnostima i kulturnim radionicama, učenju starih vještina, plesova te čitanju priča, djeca su poučena o značenju Olimpijskih igara, o fair playu, športskoj solidarnosti i prijateljstvu, što je itekako važno za skladan razvoj najmlađih članova našeg društva.
Valentini Pereglin i Nataši Muždalo godišnja priznanja Europskog fair play pokreta Vrhunska hrvatska samostreličarka Valentina Pereglin i Nataša Muždalo, zaslužna športska dužnosnica, donedavno voditeljica Službe za športski standard u Središnjem državnom uredu za šport, dobitnice su godišnjih Valentina Pereglin priznanja Europskog fair play pokreta. O tome je u kolovozu odlučilo povjerenstvo u sastavu: Katarina Ráczová (Slovačka), Biserka Vrbek (Hrvatska), Baiba Veisa (Latvija) i Kveta Peckova (Češka), pod predsjedavanjem legendarnog slovenskoga gimnastičkog olimpijca Miroslava Cerara. Valentina Pereglin nagradu je zavrijedila u kolovozu 2019. nesvakidašnjom gestom na SP-u u Rusiji, kad je sama ispravila sudački previd u bodovanju te na proglašenju pobjednica predala srebrnu medalju trećeplasiranoj suparnici iz Njemačke. Za taj potez nagrađena je Plaketom za fair play Međunarodne samostrelske federacije i Nagradom HOO-a za fair play. Priznanje Duh fair playa (Spirit of Fair Play) Nataši Muždalo dodijeljeno je za kreiranje i primjenu promotivnih materijala o fair playu u športu i svakodnevnom životu. Među njima posebno mjesto zauzima izdavački serijal bontona za predškolce i učenike, a odnedavna i za športske trenere.
Diljem Hrvatske obilježen Hrvatski olimpijski dan
U povodu obilježavanja Hrvatskog olimpijskog dana (10. rujna), kada je prije 29 godina utemeljen Hrvatski olimpijski odbor, u mnogim hrvatskim gradovima, pa i manjim sredinama, vježbalo se, trčalo, bicikliralo i igralo razne športove, a brojne aktivnosti motivirane HOD-om protegnule su se i na dane vikenda. Budući da se premalo građana u nas bavi športom i rekreacijom, ovom nacionalnom manifestacijom želi se potaknuti građane svih dobnih skupina na aktivno vježbanje i bavljenje onim športovima koji su im na raspolaganju u njihovim sredinama. Valentina Pereglin and Nataša Muždalo presented European Fair Play Movement’s annual awards Top Croatian crossbow shooter Valentina Pereglin and meritorious sports official Nataša Muždalo, until recently the Head of Service for Sports Standards at the Central State Office for Sports, are the winners of European Fair Play Movement’s annual awards. This was decided in August by the EFPM Award Jury consisting of: Katarina Raczova (Slovakia), Biserka Vrbek (Croatia), Baiba Veisa (Latvia) and Kveta Peckova (Czech Republic), chaired by the legendary Slovenian gymnast, Olympian Miroslav Cerar. Valentina Pereglin earned the award in August 2019 with an unusual gesture at the World Crossbow Championships in Russia. Namely, at the announcement of winners she corrected the referee’s oversight in scoring and handed over the silver medal to the third-placed rival from Germany. For this gesture, she was presented the International Crossbow Federation’s European Fair Play Diploma and the Croatian Olympic Committee’s Fair Play Award. Nataša Muždalo was presented the EFPM “Spirt of Fair Play” for creation and application of promo materials on fair play in sports and everyday life. Among them, a special place is taken by the published series of etiquette for preschoolers and students, and since recently for sports coaches as well. IOC member Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović visited the Croatian Olympic Committee President of the Croatian Olympic Committee Zlatko Mateša and his associates hosted on 30 July the newly appointed member of the International Olympic Committee Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović at the COC headquarters. The former President of the Republic of Croatia, and since July this year a senior Olympic official, was informed about the Croatian Olympic Committee’s strategic and operational tasks and its relations with the International Olympic Committee and within the international Olympic Movement. Apart from the exceptional successes of Croatian athletes, they also talked about the high achievements of the Croatian Olympic Committee and its Commissions in the field of gender equality and athletes’ careers (dual careers) and fair play under the leadership of the Croatian Fair Play Committee, as well as about fruitful cooperation on Olympic Solidarity projects, especially for athletes and their sports development. This nice meeting between Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Zlatko Mateša was attended by State Secretary for Sports in the former Central State Office for Sports Tomislav Družak, Croatian Olympic Committee’s Assistant Secretary General for Legal and General Matters Biserka Vrbek, Assistant Secretary General for National Sports Federations Programs Robert Gojević, Assistant Secretary General for Olympic Program Damir Šegota and Assistant Secretary General for Marketing Ranko Ćetković. Croatian Olympic Committee and Croatian Romani Union „Kali Sara“ signed the Cooperation Agreement President of the Croatian Olympic Committee Zlatko Mateša and President of the Romani Union in the Republic of Croatia “Kali Sara” Suzana Krčmar, signed on July 16 - in the presence of first associates - the Agreement on Cooperation between the two national associations. According to the Heads of these two associations, the Agreement based on several models of cooperation within the program of sports at the local level will also contribute to the integration of Romani national minority into Croatian society and development of sports as a whole. Promotion of sports values and need for wise planning and construction of sports infrastructure in addition to the already existing multi-purpose ones in Romani settlements, are also a part of common interests of the two associations. “Sport is a great way to do this and I believe that with the continuation of infrastructure projects, this process will be further improved”, said Mateša, presenting a joint proposal on organizing a regular annual meeting of representatives of the Romani Union “Kali Sara” and COC in football, basketball and volleyball. The signing of the Agreement was attended by a member of the Croatian Parliament, re-elected representative of the Romani national minority Veljko Kajtazi. Expressing his satisfaction, he stated: “This is the first time a Romani community, in this case the “Kali Sara” Union, signed the Cooperation Agreement with a national Olympic Committee. I thank President Mateša for recognizing us as partners and I believe that with this Agreement we will more easily realize future projects, for which we plan to participate for support from EU funds as well.” The signing of the Agreement was met with great approval by the world Olympic family and the International Olympic Committee, with the latter broadcasting news from Croatia on its online platforms.
