OD OLIMPA DO OLIMPA logija, prevenciji športskih ozljeda i drugim stručnim i znanstvenim pogledima na trenersko stvaralaštvo, govorila su trojica bivših dekana Kineziološkog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu - Dragan Milanović, Igor Jukić i Damir Knjaz. Uz organizaciju panel diskusije, radionica, javne rasprave te prijenosa uživo na Sportskoj televiziji i internetskim stranicama HOO-a, skup je aktualizirao i status vrhunskih trenera u Hrvatskoj, a posebno u kontekstu državne naknade za športsku izvrsnost koju dobivaju vrhunski športaši. Prijedlog odgovarajućeg rješenja sadržan je u inicijativi HOO-a prema hrvatskoj vladi da se zaslužnim športskim trenerima uvede povlaštena mirovina, primjerice po uzoru na akademike.
HOA promovirala prvi naraštaj instruktora šaha
Hrvatska olimpijska akademija u suradnji s Hrvatskim šahovskim savezom, promovirala je 28. studenoga 2018. godine prvi naraštaj instruktora šaha. Program u trajanju od 300 nastavnih sati završilo je 19 polaznika među kojima je i jedna instruktorica. Prvi hrvatski instruktori šaha prema programu stručnog osposobljavanja HOA-e su Zdenko Kožul, Ante Brkić, Saša Martinović, Blažimir Kovačević, Darko Mesar, Zoran Jovanović, Hrvoje Stević, Mihaela Blažeka, Matej Blažeka, Željko Matkun, Teo Balen, Nikola Husajina, Darko Šutić, Mladen Palac, Robert Zelčić, Andrej Stanković, Vibor Vragović, Goran Dizdar te Bogdan Božinović. U nazočnosti predsjednika HŠS-a Rolanda Tomašića, uvjerenja o završenom programu za instruktore polaznicima su uručili dopredsjednica HOO-a Sanda Čorak i ravnatelj HOA-e Saša Ceraj, dok je član Upravnog odbora HOA-e Marijan Klanac (a za iznimne zasluge pri realizaciji programa), uručio zahvalnice Hrvatskom šahovskom savezu i tajniku saveza Alojziju Jankoviću.
Obaranje ruku punopravni, lacrosse i flying disc privremeni članovi HOO-a Odlukom skupštine Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora na sjednici održanoj 20. prosinca 2018., novi punopravni član HOO-a je Hrvatski savez za obaranje ruku (www.obaranje-ruke.hr), a pridruženi Hrvatski ju-jitsu savez (www.hjjs.hr) U privremeno članstvo primljeni su Hrvatski lacrosse savez (www.croatia-lacrosse.com) i Hrvatski flying disc savez (www.hfds. hr) koji, kao i njihovi prethodnici, imaju mogućnost u dvije godine dokazati učinkovitost organizacijskih, materijalnih, stručnih i natjecateljskih uvjeta razvoja svojeg športa kako bi postali punopravni članovi HOO-a. Skupština je također odlučila o prestanku članstva Hrvatskom kasačkom savezu zbog likvidacije te Hrvatskom kriket savezu (koji je bio privremeni član), a koji je sam zatražio izlazak zbog neispunjavanja zahtjevnih uvjeta članstva u Svjetskom kriket udruženju. There were 71 male and female representatives from the fields of science, education and sport, from practitioners to theoreticians and sports workers and volunteers in sport. Duje Draganja inducted into the Hall of Fame at the famous Berkeley University Duje Draganja, triple Olympian (Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008), winner of Olympic silver in 50 M Freestyle at the Athens Olympics, the best Croatian swimmer of all time, was officially inducted on October 28, 2018 into the Hall of Fame of California’s Berkeley University where he studied and won eight NCAA championship titles. The ceremony was held in Oakland, after which he was introduced to the supporters in front of 60,000 spectators at a college football game at California Memorial Stadium. Duje Draganja, the great name of international swimming, won five medals at the world championships, four of which in short course swimming pools. He won seven gold medals at the European Junior Championships. He is the bearer of two Junior World Records, four European and a series of Croatian records. Draganja was proclaimed the Most Successful Croatian Athlete in 2004 and 2006. He was presented the State Award, the Order of Danica Hrvatska (Croatian: Red Danice hrvatske; lit. “Order of the Croatian Morning Star) with the figure of Franjo Bučar and the State Award for Sport Franjo Bučar in 2004. Celebration of the Day of Japan dedicated to the Tokyo Olympics President of the Croatian Olympic Academy’s Management Board Tonči Tadić, Head of the Croatian Olympic Academy Saša Ceraj and Croatian Olympic Academy Head of Olympism promotion projects Ana Popovčić, participated on behalf of the Croatian Olympic Family in celebration of the Day of Japan dedicated to the Olympism and the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020. The host of the ceremony organized on December 13th this year at the museum Mimara in Zagreb was the ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Croatia, His Excellency Keiji Takiguchi, who expressed particular satisfaction with the open and friendly relations between two countries and sharing of cultural, sports and other values of their communities. The topic of this year’s Day was the presentation of the Japanese way of life. In addition to the exhibitions, lectures and workshops, a demonstration of Japanese martial arts: aikido, judo, karate, kendo, kyudo and nanbudo was held in front of the museum Mimara and the visitors received more than 800 occasional triple (Japanese, Croatian and English) brochures with interesting data on Olympic development of Japan called “From Tokyo to Tokyo”. Daria Obratov received European Fair Play Movement’s award At the occasional ceremony held during the 24th Congress and General Assembly of the European Fair Play Movement in Brussels, the first Croatian luger Daria Obratov was presented the award for fair play gesture – the Fair Play Spirit Award 2018, which, due to luger’s unavoidable obligations in the Netherland’s National Olympic Team – for which she since recently performs - was received on behalf of Daria by her fitness coach Igor Stamenković. Daria Obratov was nominated for the European award by the Croatian Fair Play Committee based on the initial proposal that came from Dr. Vlasta Brozičević, with the consent of the Croatian and Indian Luge Federation. Daria’s fair gesture consisted of lending her luge, during the Olympic Qualifications at the beginning of December 2017, to a multiOlympian Indian Shiva Keshava. Thanks to the lent luge, the Indian Olympian secured his sixth appearance at the Winter Olympics held in Pyeongchang in 2018. In the work of the Congress and the General Assembly of the EFPP under the chairmanship of the head of Christiana Hinterberger, members of the Executive Board of the EFPP Biserka Vrbek and HFPO President Danira Bilić participated, and on behalf of the Croatian Olympic team Daria Obratov congratulated the heads of the Croatian Olympic Committee.
