Vijeće HOO-a imenovalo je 28. studenoga predsjednike i članove svih komisija koje, sukladno statutu HOO-a, djeluju kao stalna radna tijela HOO-a i imaju savjetodavnu ulogu u radu Vijeća. Tako će u mandatu do 2020. za određena područja Vijeće savjetovati: Komisija za razvoj športa na čelu s Branimirom Bašićem, Komisija za međunarodne odnose (Igor Boraska), Zdravstvena komisija (Miran Martinac), Komisija za marketing (Vjekoslav Lovrić), Komisija za informiranje i izdavaštvo (Jura Ozmec), Komisija za ravnopravnost spolova (Morana Paliković Gruden), Komisija za športsko graditeljstvo i okoliš (Zdravko Jurčec) te Komisija za digitalizaciju i nove medije (Ivica Maraš).

Olimpijska solidarnost Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora dodijelila je deset stipendija hrvatskim športašima koji su kandidati za nastup na XXIII. zimskim olimpijskim igrama u Pjongčangu 2018. godine. Od 1. studenoga 2016. stipendije MOO-a dobivaju Filip Zubčić, Leona Popović, Istok Rodeš i Elias Kolega (alpsko skijanje), Vedrana Malec i Edi Dadić (skijaško trčanje), Krešimir Crnković (biatlon), Darija Obratov (sanjkanje), Dražen Silić (bob) te Nicholas Garrett Vrdoljak (umjetničko klizanje). Ovo je treća generacija hrvatskih športaša iz zimskih športova koji koriste stipendije Olimpijske solidarnosti od njegovog formiranja 2008. godine.

Sporazum HOO-a i Kubanskog olimpijskog odbora Hrvatski olimpijski odbor i Kubanski olimpijski odbor potpisali su 12. listopada Memorandum o suradnji koji uključuje razmjenu znanja i iskustva osobito iz područja športske medicine i trenerskih zvanja. Za suradnju na ovom planu posebno je zainteresiran Hrvatski baseball savez čiji je predsjednik Osvaldo Vavra najavio intenziv-

He performed 65 times for the Croatian Olympic Handball Team, and in addition to the Olympic gold, he has won a silver medal at the World Championships in 1995 and bronze at the European Championships in 1994. For his contribution to the Croatian sports, he was presented the Red Danice Hrvatske (Order of the Croatian Morningstar) with figure of Franjo Bučar, and in 1996 he was presented the State Award for Sport Franjo Bučar. In memory of a great man and a true athlete, the Croatian and Slovene Olympic Committees and the Croatian and Slovene Handball Federations founded in 2013 a common award for young talented handball players, the award "Iztok Puc".

Zlatko Mateša’s fifth mandate With one voice against, the Croatian Olympic Committee’s Assembly elected, at its Electoral Session held on October 6, 2016, Zlatko Mateša for President of the Croatian Olympic Committee in the mandate period 2016-2020. This is his fifth mandate as Head of the umbrella sports institution, and his candidacy was supported by 33 national sports federations of Olympic and 30 of Non-Olympic sports as well as 20 county sports associations. Mateša was first appointed the President of the Croatian Olympic Committee at the extraordinary Croatian Olympic Committee’s Electoral Assembly in 2002. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games, a member of the Commission for International Relations of the International Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and a member of the Foundation Board of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Pursuant to the proposal of the President Mateša, the Assembly confirmed four Vice-Presidents of the Croatian Olympic Committee: Damir Martin, President of the Croatian Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission, Željko Jerkov, President of the Croatian Olympians’ Club, Sanda Čorak, President of the Croatian Judo Federation and Morana Paliković Gruden, President of the Croatian Skating Federation. Zlatko Taritaš (Croatian Sailing Federation), Stevo Tkalčec (Croatian Gymnastics Federation), Boris Mesarić (Croatian Handball Federation), Željan Konsuo (Croatian Water Polo Federation), Branimir Bašić (Croatian Rowing Federation), Miho Glavić (Croatian Ski Federation), Marijan Hanžeković (Croatian Luge Federation), Ivo-Goran Munivrana (Croatian Table Tennis Association), Zrinko Gregurek (Croatian Car and Karting Federation), Zvjezdana Tuma Pavlov (Sports Association of the OsijekBaranja County) and Damir Knjaz (Sports Association of the City of Zagreb) were elected as members of the Council.

Cooperation of the Croatian and Cuban Olympic Committee Croatian and Cuban Olympic Committee signed on October 12, 2016, the Memorandum on Cooperation between the Croatian and the Cuban Olympic Committee, involving the exchange of knowledge and experience particularly in the field of sports medicine and coaching profession. The one particularly interested in cooperation in this area is the Croatian Baseball Federation, whose president Osvaldo Vavra announced more intensive cooperation in the development of baseball, which is included in the program of the Olympic Games 2020. The Memorandum was signed by the President of the Croatian Olympic Committee Zlatko Mateša and Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Juan Antonio Fernández, in the presence of Elio Rodríguez Perdomo, Director for Europe and Canada at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, President of the Croatian Baseball Federation Osvaldo Vavra, Proxy of Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Jasna Derviš and Head of the Croatian Olympic Committee’s Department for International Cooperation Ljiljana Ujlaki Šubić. à
