športskim institucijama okupiti brojne ugledne znanstvenike i stručnjake iz područja kineziologije, medija, sociologije, psihologije, povijest i drugih znanosti koji će raspravljati o dvije glavne teme: "Šport kao dio kulture" i "Fair play kao dio športske kulture". Podteme Kongresa bit će "Utjecaj športa na moralne promjene u društvu", "Etičko ponašanje trenera", "Mediji i nasilje u športu", "Fair play i ponašanje navijača". Među pozvanim domaćim i stranim predavačima su Benjamin Perasović, Dražen Lalić, Franjo Prot, Zrinko Čustonja, Jura Ozmec, Gilad Weingarten iz Izraela, Patrick Duffy iz Velika Britanije, te Spyros Kapralos i Yannis Daras iz Grčke i drugi. Uz predsjednika Matešu, u izaslanstvu su bili i dopredsjednica HOO-a i članica Hrvatskog fair play odbora Nada Senčar, glavni tajnik HOO-a Josip Čop, članica Vijeća i Hrvatskog fair play odbora Morana Paliković Gruden, predsjednica Hrvatskog fair play odbora Biserka Perman te voditeljica projekta EFP Kongres 2011. Sedam evidentnih kandidata za OI London 2012. Na 25. sjednici, održanoj 31. svibnja 2011. Vijeće Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora (HOO) potvrdilo je sedam evidentnih kandidata za nastup na OI London 2012. To su Blanka Vlašić (skok u vis), Lisa Christina Stublić (maraton), Sandra Perković (disk), Martin Marić (disk), stolnotenisač Zoran Primorac (kojem je ovo sedmi nastup na OI) te Snježana Pejčić i Giovanni Cernogoraz iz streljaštva. Istom odlukom, skupini zasad potencijalnih putnika za London, pridružili su se taekwondoašice Ana Zaninović i Marina Sumić kao potencijalne A, a tenisač Ivan Dodig kao B olimpijski kandidat. SPTV – television of all athletes and sports! The first specialized digital sports channel in Croatia, Sports Television (Sportska televizija) began broadcasting its regular program with sports news exactly at 5 P.M. on April 4th of this pre-Olympic year. Unique for its founder - the COC, the only national Olympic committee which is the founder of the TV company, by the end of May Sports Television had more than 40 broadcasts - 19 international and 21 national sporting events, and the first to enjoy the program were the basketball fans who watched live coverage of the matches from Sinj between Alkar and Zadar. The Sports Television program, which on average lasts 6 ½ hours a day, enabled 39 sports federations to find their place within it, ten of them were given more minutes either in the form of a report, magazine or interview on the occasion of individual projects. IOC’s President Jacques Rogge gave a special interview for SPTV. Croatia hosts the 17th European Fair Play Congress The delegation of the Croatian Olympic Committee (COC), headed by President Zlatko Matesa, attended on March18th, 2011 an official reception held by the Croatian president Ivo Josipovic, during which they introduced him to current preparations for the organization of the 17th European Fair Play Congress, which will, under patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, be held from September 28th to October 1st in Porec. The organizers of the 17th European Fair Play Congress, the COC and the European Fair Play Committee, are planning - in cooperation with national and international sports institutions - to bring together a number of eminent scientists and experts in the field of physical education, media, sociology, psychology, history and other sciences to discuss two main themes: “Sports as part of the culture" and "Fair play as a part of sports culture”. The Congress sub-themes will be "The impact of sports on the moral changes in society", "Ethical behavior of coaches, " "Media and Violence in Sport", "Fair play and fans’ behavior ". Among the invited domestic and foreign lecturers were prof. PhD. Benjamin Perasovic, BA. PhD. Drazen Lalic, prof. PhD. Franjo Prot, prof. Zrinko Custonja, prof. Jura Ozmec, prof. PhD. Gilad Weingarten from Israel, Dr. Patrick Duffy from the United Kingdom, and Spyros Kapralos and Yannis Daras from Greece. Along with president Matesa, the President's delegation was comprised of COC’s Vice-President and member of Croatian Fair Play Committee Nada Sencar, COC’s Secretary General Josip Cop, a member of the Council and the Croatian Fair Play Committee Morana Palikovic Gruden, president of the Croatian Fair Play Committee Biserka Perman and Project Manager of the EFP Congress 2011, Biserka Vrbek. Seven obvious candidates for London At the 25th session, held on May 31st, 2011, the Council of the Croatian Olympic Committee (COC) confirmed the seven obvious candidates for the 2012 London Olympics. They are Blanka Vlasic (high jump), Lisa Christina Stublic (marathon), Sandra Perkovic (discus throw), Martin Maric (discus throw), table tennis players Zoran Primorac (this would be his seventh appearance at the Olympics), Snjezana Pejcic and Giovanni Cernogoraz (archery).
