Rogge evaluated the Sports Television Project as excellent On February 25th, the Croatian Committee delegation headed by the IOC member and honorary president of the COC, Antun Vrdoljak, the President and Secretary General of the COC, Zlatko Mateša and Josip Čop and the representative of COC for public relations, Gordana Gaćeša, paid an official visit to the International Olympic Committee and talked with its president, Jacques Rogge and his first assistants – the IOC Chief of staff Christophe De Kepper, IOC Marketing Director Timo Lumme and the IOC Communication Director Mark Adams. The reason for the visit was to invite the head of IOC, Jacques Rogge, to be an honorary guest of the 20th anniversary of COC in September this year which he gladly accepted. Another reason that for our delegation’s visit was Rogge’s interest in the project: Sports Television in Croatia. The project was presented to him by the President of COC, Zlatko Mateša, which the IOC president and his associates assessed as excellent and as a sign of support offered their assistance. The Croatian delegation was also received by the director of Olympic Solidarity, Pere Miro. The IOC President, Jacques Rogge, gave Sports Television an exclusive interview which will be aired on the first day of the program. The national sports federations on Sports Television Discussions were held with the secretaries of national sports federations about Sports Television and the intense work that has been done on its program scheme since December 16th, 2010 when it received concession. At the course under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of COC, Josip Čop, over 90 percent of the federation publicly expressed an interest and willingness to cooperate. By presenting the Sports Television project Petar Čavlović, also the President of the COC Commission for Digitalization and New Media, confirmed that this is about covering all levels of Croatian sports in which, of course, nothing will be divided into „great and small“. The program concept of Sports Television is based not only on live broadcasting on all levels, but it also includes the news, sports reports, reviews and comments and other events and interesting things from sports and the world of Olympism. The entire program is undoubtedly focused on more quality placing of sports in society. By considering it a great incentive, the national sports federations have expressed their readiness to accept their role in the creation of the program content.
