THE MOVEMENT... POWER SHOT... Investigative Re porter, Aubrey R Taylor, and thirty time Emmy Award Winning Investiga tive Reporter Wayne Dol cefino at the Tuesday, August 22, 2022, Protest Against Corrupt Judges in Harris County, Texas PHOTO BY: DONTE ELLIOTT “EVERYONE’S WELCOME TO JOIN THE MOVEMENT.” Dear Fellow Texan, Please understand that we are embroiled in a fight for the heart and soul of Harris County, Texas Crime, Cor ruption, and Cronyism is running rampant right now So, we must band together and commit ourselves to “PUTTING PEOPLE OVER POLITICS” on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in the upcoming Midterm Election In case you haven’t heard, the GOP “GREATER OP PORTUNITY PARTY” has put together the most diverse field of duly qualified judicial nominees ever assembled by the Harris County Republican Party, under the direc tion of Cindy Siegel, the current HCRP Chairman And on the Democratic side, there’s a historic field of African American “JUDICIAL INCUMBENTS” seeking reelection in this pivotal battle for territory So, as we endeavor to elect the “BEST QUALIFIED JUDGES” who value our vote, prayers, and support, we must place substance, qualifications, judicial tem perament, and job readiness above “SYMBOLISM” and “EMOTIONAL TIES” to people who do not value, respect, or appreciate our support Respectfully, Aubrey R Taylor INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER/PUBLISHER Houston Business Connections Newspaper© 957 NASA PARKWAY #251 HOUSTON, TX 77058 ® 281 788 3033 HARRISCOUNT YENDORSEMENTS@GMAIL .COM EMAIL YOUR ENDORSEMENTS TO ME TODAY!

It was the leadership of the Republican Party that ended slavery over 150 years ago. The Republican Party continues to be the party of hope and opportunity because we stand for freedom and liberty for all Americans. We believe in: Freedom from an overreaching government Unelected bureaucrats and our federal government should not overregulate and dictate how we live our daily lives We believe that prosperity for all comes through the free market and poli cies that encourage job development, economic growth and entrepreneurship in the United States vs promoting a global economy that sacrifices American jobs and national security Freedom from those who want to weaken the sanctity of our elections. We believe that all Americans should have confidence in the integrity of our elections and that each vote cast is cast by a citizen who has the legal right to vote Without elections that are fair, open and transparent, the very foundation of our democracy is at risk

Freedom from failing schools. Our children should have the right to an education that will give them the knowledge and skills to have a successful life and one that is free from indoctrination We be lieve that teaching our country’s history (warts and all) is necessary to ensure mistakes are not repeated We also oppose teachers and adminis tration that impose their personal beliefs on our children and promote racism and division through policies like critical race theory We believe that school policies should support educational achievement and provide parents the freedom to make the best academic choice for their children Freedom from democrats who want to limit our freedoms. Today’s Republican Party was founded in 1854 by a group of Mid Western abolitionists opposed to the Kansas Nebraska Bill, which allowed a choice of slavery in the new territories of Kansas and Nebraska Texas which had become a state in 1845 was right in the middle of the heated slavery controversy

Most state leaders were Democrats prior to the Civil War, and thus supported the pro-slavery Confederacy

But President Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president, gained the support of Texas Republicans and several prominent state leaders, like Sam Houston, Texas’ first Gover nor However, most of those who decided to support Lincoln’s decision to defend the Union were forced from office and Democrats succeeded in allying Texas with the Confederacy

The effects of the Civil War and its aftermath would be felt for more than a century through out the South, and especially in Texas For its first two generations, Texas had known only honor, victory and valor Though Texans never lost a battle at home during the Civil War, the Union army under orders from a Republican President marched in and occupied the Lone Star State after the Confederacy surrendered For the first time, Texas would not be victorious The next four generations of Texans would not forgive the Republican Party

It was through the hard work of a number of dedicated African American men and women that the earliest foundations of the Republican Party of Texas were laid The first ever state Republican convention that met in Houston on July 4, 1867 was predominantly African American in composition, with about 150 African American Texans attending, and 20 Anglos

I looked to my grandfathers for mentor ship while growing up From an early age, I was inspired by their stories of service and leadership in the defense of our freedom My maternal grandfather was the first in his family to graduate high school and through his career of service in the U S Navy, also became the first in his family to graduate college My paternal grandfather was forced to flee Spain as a political refugee He ultimately gained his U S citizenship through service in the U S Army Following in my family’s tradition, I decided to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point following the 9/11 Attacks Upon graduation, I served in the Army bomb squad Through my ex perience leading soldiers in combat, I demon strated the skills necessary to lead during times of crisis and that has prepared me to lead the county through the crisis we currently face The protection of our freedoms has been a theme throughout my life, one that my entire family has shared They’re too important to sit idly by hoping that someone else will protect them and that’s especially true in Harris County, where our way of life has been under attack I’m running for Harris County Judge to restore our way of life
