Nowhere else on earth has the meeting of land and sea created such magnificent beauty. The Pacific Rim National Park provides protection for rainforests and an amazing marine environment.

Whether you hike along ancient footpaths, go whale watching or hunting for icebergs, you’ll find great ocean views at every corner. Explore the historic sites and villages that are dotted along the coastline.

Explore the delightful village of Whistler and head through Lillooet, known as the land of the Gold Rush Trail. On your journey to Jasper stop and view the graceful Pyramid Falls. From here carry on into the spectacular Rocky Mountains.

Day 1: Vancouver – Tofino (221km) Depart Vancouver for Horseshoe Bay and ferry to Vancouver Island. At Nanaimo head to Tofino on the rugged West Coast.

Day 1-2: St. John’s Drive up Signal Hill for spectacular views, take a trip out to Cape Spear National Park, the most easterly point in North America and visit one of the province's most photographed places, Quidi Vidi Village.

Day 1: Vancouver – Whistler (122km)

Day 2: Tofino (Pacific Rim National Park) Walk along the famed Long Beach, with its miles of pristine sandy beach and pounding surf, or explore the rainforests on a selection of well groomed trails. Also enjoy either a Whale Watch cruise in search of grey whales, humpback whales, sea lions, sea birds and resident bald eagles, or a Bear Viewing Cruise in search of black bears who head for the closest food source - the ocean! Day 3: Tofino – Victoria (313km) Travel back to the East Coast of Vancouver Island and head south to Victoria. Day 4: Victoria Today is free to explore Victoria, with its turn of the century architecture, British traditions such as high tea and shops full of woollens and china. Admission to the Butchart Gardens is included.

Discover Whistler and the Rockies 8 days/7 nights

Day 3: St. John’s – Bonavista Peninsula – Trinity (345km) Today embark on your journey to Bonavista Peninsula. In this small village you’ll find the red and white striped Bonavista Lighthouse and the Matthew Legacy, a replica of the ship which voyaged across the Atlantic to discover a new land in 1497. Day 4-5: Trinity Explore the enchanting village of Trinity with its restored white and pastel coloured clapboard houses. Day 6-7: Trinity – St. John’s (345km) Head back to St John’s and in the afternoon drive to Bay Bulls to take a boat excursion to see whales and the Atlantic puffin - if you’re lucky you may even spot an iceberg.

Day 5: Victoria – Vancouver (69km) Drive north to Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal for a 90 minute ferry ride to Tsawwassen then drive to Vancouver where your journey ends.

Day 2: Whistler Take time to experience this charming alpine resort and enjoy the Peak 2 Peak Gondola Ride. Day 3: Whistler – Sun Peaks (293km) Begin your spectacular drive on the Duffey Lake Road where you will see breath-taking views of Joffre Glacier, continue on through Gold Rush country to the resort town of Sun Peaks. Day 4: Sun Peaks – Jasper (444km) Day 5: Jasper Explore this charming mountain village, close to many terrific scenic highlights. Visit Maligne Lake, one of the most photographed lakes in the world. Day 6: Jasper – Banff (292km) Day 7: Banff Enjoy a trip up the Banff Gondola where you’ll have a panoramic view of the Bow Valley and take a dip in the hot mineral pools at the Upper Hot Springs. Day 8: Banff – Calgary (115km) Note: Also available in reverse
