To glorify God and free children and families from the physical, emotional and economic burden of clubfoot.
VISION
That every child and family will walk free from clubfoot and encounter the love of Christ.
WHO WE ARE
Hope Walks is a group driven by dignity and compassion for vulnerable children and their families committed to ending disability from clubfoot through local health partners showing the love of Christ with tangible actions, not just empty words.
ON THE COVER
Leonce dances for joy on straight feet. His church community celebrates with him, including Pastor Cyprien, a Hope Walks parent advisor, and Annonciata (far right), a church member who helped carry Leonce to the closest clinic. Watch the inspiring story.
The Need
In too many places, a child born with clubfoot is left behind— trapped by a completely treatable condition.
Annually, nearly 200,000 children are born with clubfoot, a condition that causes the feet to twist inward and downward. With a minimal investment in casts and braces (known as the Ponseti method), these children can lead lives free of disability with early intervention, ideally before they are six months old.
Sadly, access to the Ponseti method is not readily available in low- and middle-income countries. Without treatment, the foot condition will make walking difficult or impossible. Beyond the physical impacts, people with untreated clubfoot experience severed relationships, shame and humiliation, less education and fewer job opportunities, and face increased risks of mental and physical abuse.
At Hope Walks, we believe every child deserves the chance to run free—and every parent deserves the support to help them get there.
Hope Walks has been addressing the needs of these children and their families since 2018. Our Strategic Plan continues the life-changing mission to reach more children by 2030.
Train. Treat. Transform. 2030
Hope Walks is restless in a world where children grow up without correction for this treatable condition. And we are passionate about letting people know that eternal life in God’s presence is available to all who seek Jesus. Our 2030 Strategic Plan will move us closer to ending the disability caused by clubfoot and lead more people to Jesus Christ.
Our model for achieving this is different because Hope Walks places a strong emphasis on establishing programs that use the talent and expertise already present in each country to solve the clubfoot issue. We achieve this by establishing foundational systems to scale our proven program model, while working toward sustainability in each country.
Our 2030 Strategic Plan will accomplish this through strategic initiatives to:
and educate more than 100,000 healthcare workers in clubfoot treatment, detection and referral to support the expansion to 300 partner clinics, so we can...
WHAT WILL IT TAKE?
Many things need to come together to accomplish this bold vision. To fulfill our mission, Hope Walks will deliver high-quality, Christ-centered care through strong clinical standards and integrated spiritual outreach. We will invest in local leadership, unified operations, and strategic donor engagement to sustain longterm impact. Data-driven decisionmaking and well-equipped parent advisors will ensure that the gospel is presented clearly and contextually aligned, so families can experience healing in both body and spirit.
60,000 new children with clubfoot enabling them to walk on straight feet without pain or stigma, and...
families with 600,000 counseling sessions, each a gospel opportunity.
SYSTEMS
Hope Walks supports a network of national clubfoot programs through standard procedures and processes to implement Hope Walks’ mission.
Scalable
Our proven program model is built on six pillars designed to effectively implement and expand clubfoot care and services to a nation.
Sustainability
With time and an aligned strategy, the countries and communities where we serve will become self-sufficient in providing families with access to holistic clubfoot care with limited outside support.
National Program Management
National staff working through a locally registered organization provide leadership for each country's program. Each team works within appropriate cultural norms and within the national healthcare structure.
program model
Six pillars guide our organization in the program model. Each builds on the others to create systems that allow us to scale the program within the national health system, making it sustainable for the future.
Partnerships
We create local, national, and international partnerships to promote advocacy, resource mobilization, integration, and longevity.
SYSTEMS SCALABLE SUSTAINABLE
Training & Awareness
We invest in training national medical providers, brace makers, program staff, and parent advisors while raising awareness by educating the public and healthcare community about clubfoot, its treatment, and where to find care.
Access to Early Quality Treatment
Working within the national health system, we integrate access to early quality treatment for all children through a nationwide network of fully staffed and equipped partner clubfoot clinics.
Data-driven Outcomes
Our reporting system allows us to monitor program effectiveness, strengthen accountability and track Key Performance Indicators.
Christ-centered Holistic Care
We integrate local Christian parent advisors in each partner clubfoot clinic to educate families on clubfoot, promote treatment adherence, and build relationships to meet the family’s psychosocial needs and share the love of Christ.

STRENGTHENING
ORGANIZATIONAL
CAPACITY
A strong organization is necessary to accomplish our mission. Systems, staffing and leadership will be the foundation for our service.
• Unified global administration and business operations
• Improvement of Hope Walks Programs policies and processes for increased efficiency
• The right people in the right places to create a staffing structure to support growth
• Locally developed country-specific strategies for long-term sustainability
3
INVESTING IN THE FUTURE
Financial resources are needed to support the efforts of every arm of the organization. We will establish systems and processes to ensure funding is sustainable and ensure we are good stewards of the donor resources.
• An international grants program to support our 2030 program objectives
• A robust monthly donor program (The Clubfoot Crew)
• A comprehensive lead generation, donor acquisition and retention strategy
• A strong team of regional donor representatives to increase donor engagement
• A robust system of tools and resources to effectively evaluate fundraising performance
High-functioning organizations make decisions based on solid data. We will build upon our quality monitoring and evaluation using our electronic health record database (PATH) as the foundation.
• Adequate & localized PATH IT support
• Optimize dashboards and systems for the functional use of PATH data
• Data collection quality assurance processes
• A standard monitoring system aligned with program outcomes
• An established research and innovation process

PARENT ADVISOR ROLE
These individuals are key to guiding our families and showing Christ’s love. They need support and resources to accomplish this critical task.
• An updated Parent Advisor job description that is disseminated across all programs
• Parent Advisors who are fully equipped and supported to guide families through the treatment process, helping them achieve complete healing and experience God's love
As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”
