PERSONALISED EDUCATION

SOLUTIONS FOR FAMILY OFFICES

TAILORED LEARNING STRATEGIES DELIVERED BY AN EXPERT TEAM

Intrinsic provides family offices with a Chief Learning Officer (CLO) to lead on the strategy and implementation of individual learning and personal development plans for each family member.

3

Each CLO is supported by a hand-picked team of Education Co-ordinators, professional tutors, coaches and mentors to serve the needs of each student.

The full or part-time CLO will liaise between parents, schools, students and any other stakeholders to optimise the education and personal development of each family member. This ensures a nuanced and informed strategy for optimising the educational journey of each child within the family office.

Intrinsic draws upon the resources of its London-based parent, a private education company that has been established over fifteen years and is a key player in the UK private tutoring and education consultancy space.

This collaborative approach, drawing on the skills and experience of our wider network of educationalists, means we boast a depth of experience an order of magnitude greater than even the most qualified private consultant could achieve on their own.

THE INTRINSIC APPROACH

A FIVE STAGE PROCESS THAT BRINGS THE FAMILY TOGETHER

We believe that education is fundamental to building longterm success for the next generation. Supporting the educational development of children within a family office requires a comprehensive understanding of the family's desires and motivations.

We take a family's history and future goals into account, evaluating their level of involvement in the family business and clarifying the mission and purpose of their wealth.

11

1 » DISCOVERY | initial assessments and in-depth meetings with parents and children

We analyse each student’s preferences for subjects to study, types of school to attend and career. We explore challenges and opportunities, identify individual strengths and weaknesses and discuss what the future could hold.

2 » STRATEGY | from school to career

We build a detailed roadmap for each child, highlighting the key decision points and pathways that will get them to where they want to go. Roadmaps start at any age and go through school, university and career. Part of our strategy is to build cohesion between different branches and generations of each family office.

12

3 » DEPLOYMENT | support from the right people

Each student’s roadmap is individually created and delivered by our team, all of whom have strong backgrounds in education and personal transformation. Our tutors and placement experts have supported students with applications to schools in Europe, the UAE, the UK, and the USA.

4 » REPORTING | filled with rich detail and action points

Tutors and mentors provide reports for every lesson to the Education Coordinator (EC). The EC prepares a summary of the week’s activities, challenges and any action points for the CLO and parents. The CLO is available any time but has a monthly check-in and annual review with parents.

5 » MEASURING RESULTS | working to individual and family goals

We are retained by families over multiple children, but always work on performance rewarded by results, not longevity. Performance is measured by regular check-ins, academic assessments, and benchmarking against agreed targets.

THE INTRINSIC IMPACT

» Every student we work with sees results increase by 2-5 grades.

» Every school and university placement results in a place at a best-fit school.

» Our Ivy League college results are among the best in the world.

» Our Oxbridge success rate is 60% for entrance to first choice college, considerably above the UK average of 17%.

15

NEURODIVERSITY

PROMOTING A WELL-ROUNDED AND ENTIRELY BESPOKE EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY

An in-depth understanding of neurodiversity is vital to successfully working with children who think and learn differently. Children with learning challenges like dyslexia, dyscalculia and ADHD need personally tailored support to help them thrive. The CLO thinks and plans long term, creating a seamless transition through school, university, work experience, internships, and career or entry into the family office.

16

This holistic approach supports children through various life stages, encompassing not only the school or college they are currently attending but also education in the broadest sense of personal development.

As part of their roadmap to help children thrive over the long term, the CLO provides mentorship in emotional, intellectual, and financial intelligence.

This encompasses embedding thoughtful and productive patterns of learning and working as well as teaching responsible financial and lifestyle management.

AN ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE OF THE INTRINSIC SERVICE

AT WORK

A family has three children and each one has around five hours of academic support outside of school every week.

28

The children’s Education Co-ordinator manages the tuition scheduling and the performance of tutors, submitting weekly written reports to the CLO and the family. Once a month the CLO meets with the parents to provide updates and set strategy for the following month. The CLO also attends meetings with key contacts at school and may also provide one-to-one mentoring for some of the children, advising on school moves and addressing any issues that cause friction within the Family Office.

During the holidays the children receive some additional tuition from a live-in tutor. In any given year there may also be a school or university placement.

These services will cost £100,000 to £200,000 per annum. Invoices are paid monthly and there is no commitment to continue. You only pay for the period of time you are using our service.

Next we set up a meeting where you can get to know the Chief Learning Officer and some of the wider team who will work with your family. Intrinsic has private tuition, home schooling and education consultancy specialists so, right from the start of your relationship with us, you talk to the people who are best-placed to assist you. This meeting can be online, at our offices in London or, depending on your location, at your home.
