Manyyoungpeopleinschoolshavestrongviewsaroundgender–“womenaren’tasstrongas men”,“menare(andshouldbe)superior”–andwhenaskedabouttheseviews,theresponseis alwaysthesame–“ohit’sjustbanter.”

Despitefeigninghumour,manyoftheseyoungpeopleareuneasyabouthavingtheconversation aboutwhytheseviews,orjokes,areharmfulandhowtheycontributetoaworldwhereFemicideis rifeandViolenceAgainstWomenandGirls(VAWG)hasbeendeclaredanationalemergency. Herearesometipsabouthowwecantacklemisogynyamongyoungpeople…
