The Cattlemen's Cut Annual Bull Sale 2025

Page 1

WELCOME CATTLEMEN

Welcome to the 2025 offering from the Cattlemen’s Cut Bull Sale! First, we want to thank you for your interest in our sale. 2024 went by way too fast - we learned that chasing a toddler on top of chasing cows requires all hands on deck and we wouldn’t want it any other way. We had a great summer which led into fall, and our first ever female sale. We can’t thank everyone out there enough for joining us on that day, either in person or online. That day for us was a celebration of all the opportunities that led us here, and truly a celebration of the cows that have continued to provide for us.

As you know, our momma cows are the cornerstone here - we continue to breed sound cows to working genetics that keep moving the mark in our herd, and thriving in this environment is something we’re focused on. We want longevity, and we believe the future starts with the female. For this reason we practice strict culling, and performance standards with all our momma cows. From fertility, udders, and docility, we factor it all in to ensure the cows stability in our herd and

in yours. By continuing to utilize both AI and ET we are continuing to stack cow families that go to work for you. All the calves are raised right here at the ranch in this environment and we can share exactly how that bloodline will go to work for you.The cows are the building blocks to our herd, and we refuse to chase fads; we continue to rely heavily on the cows that perform, and calves that do the same, with vigor to get them from pasture to rail with minimal inputs. Our main goal is providing animals to your herd and our own that you can trust and rely on - ones that’ll pave the way for the next generation.

Our offering again consists of four main sire groups that we have watched and developed closely. We believe in breeding for balanced EPD’s, natural muscle, good feet, and sound structure, having faith in knowing the cumulation of these things leads to longevity, and stability. The development of the bulls calves continues to be of upmost importance to us. We utilize very large pens and a high roughage diet. The yearling weights will not blow you away, but we want to continue to make sure that bull is working hard in July.

Thank you for your consideration in our offering this year, and for viewing this catalog. Please join us on sale day, Feburary 27th, for lunch starting at 12p, and the live auction at 1p. The auction will be broadcast on DV Auction the day of the sale, and all cattle are available for viewing anytime prior to the sale.

We look forward to talking with you, and seeing you at our home!

to: more accurate selection easier identification of genetic outliers the ability to propagate young animals with confidence earlier in their lives

In fact, GE-EPDs on unproven animals have the same amount of accuracy as if they had recorded 8-33 calves, depending on the trait. That’s valuable insight, offered regularly through the breed’s weekly national cattle evaluation at www.angus.org.
