The Quick families would like to welcome you to our 2025 Power on the Plains Production Sale! Mustang Ranch has been around for 105 years, and we are now the third and fourth generation to raise cattle and horses here. We have an exciting lineup of bulls this year and we feel that we have the best set to date that we have ever offered. We are extremely happy to welcome everyone back again on April 9th at 1:30 pm for the third consecutive production sale of the ranch with a complementary brisket dinner prior to the sale.
We are hosting an Open House on the afternoon of April 6th with food and snacks. We would love to see you both days to enjoy friendship, cattle, and have a good time! Our sale will be again broadcast on DVAuction for those who can’t make the sale, and we will have people available on phones if you prefer to bid that way as well. We are excited to have, back again this year a great friend and World Champion auctioneer, Col. Matt Lowery. His knowledge of cattle and industry helps makes our sale experience top notch and great to be a part of.
Each year we work hard to take steps forward to produce genetics that will add power, pound, and maternal value to your operation. We use artificial insemination and embryo transfer to help make strides in our program and offer you elite genetics from top Angus programs from around the country. We also work hard outside of our A.I. programs to make sure the sires we have are top end producers with the phenotype and genetics needed to add everything from pound producers to easy calvers.
This year we have bulls and heifers sired from some of our old favorites SAV Cascade 8214, MR Admiral 9146, Mohnen Stunner 3220, Janssen Goliath 1072, Musgrave Avenger 379, and Musgrave Salvation A117. We have a few bulls out of some different sires BA Blackout 1001, MR Stout Made 275, Voss Scale House 2004, and MR Typhoon 0801. We partnered up with Janssen Angus on the $20,000 Janssen All-Around 1072 son out of DB Iconic and we have a few of his progeny for sale for the 1st time this year. In our A.I. program we have sires that include SAV Panther 1906, SAV Double Wide 0861, SAV Scale House 0845, SAV Checkmate 8158, Musgrave 316 Exclusive, and Sitz Spectrum. We are excited to offer you progeny from these great sires and as always some of the greatest females to every walk American soil in SAV Blackcap May 4136, SAV Madame Pride 0075, Baldrige Isabell Y69, and Coleman Donna 714 just to name a few of the many maternal influences.
In 2024 the desert plains started with a massive rain and hailstorm in the middle of May. After the first storm, we stayed dry through the following month and were finally blessed to see some rain at the end of July. We usually have green grass for a month or two out of the year and the cattle were able to enjoy it. God blessed us and carried us through the winter, allowing our herd to produce top notch offspring again this year that we believe will help anyone improve their herd.

SALE FORMAT
All cattle will sell on large screen monitors. Cattle will not come in the sale ring. We encourage you to make plans to arrive early to preview the offering in the pens on Sunday, April 6th during Open House or prior to sale on Wednesday.

BULLS - All Bulls will sell with a first season breeding reproductive guarantee, which includes the first 90 days after turn out and claims must be turned into us by September 1st of the year of the sale they are purchased in. Reproductive injuries must be examined by a veterinarian and report from the vet to Mustang Ranch Angus. This guarantee does not cover injury, death or loss of use. In the event of a problem the buyer is responsible for the return of the animal to Mustang Ranch Angus unless other arrangements are made. If a satisfactory replacement bull is available, we will replace the bull. If there is no replacement available, buyer will be given a credit of the original purchase price minus salvage value for a purchase in a future sale. In order for a replacement to be made, the bull needs to be cared for adequately and not neglected. Mustang Ranch Angus does reserve the right to take back the affected animal and offer a replacement or full credit of the original purchase price.
FEMALES - Unless previously agreed upon, the replacement females are guaranteed to breed within the first 6 months following the sale date. Mustang Ranch Angus guarantees the ability for the female to breed, not success of the delivery of the pregnancy. Claims need to be made by October 9th. ***If you wish to purchase insurance for your purchase(s), insurance will be available on sale day.
SEMEN Each buyer will have the option to take 10 straws from one of the following bulls: Sav Cascade 8214, MR Ferdinand 316, MR Resilient Commander 302, and MR Nick Fury 303. When checking out please let us know if you would like the units and your choice of bull, so arrangements can be made. Shipping is not included.
DELIVERY Free delivery up to 200 miles of Pritchett, CO on two or more bulls, or a purchase price above $4,000. For further distances, we will split the cost of delivery after the first 200 miles.
PERFORMANCE DATA All of the individual’s performance data and Angus G5/i50k data is included in the EPDs. Please reference www.angus.org for the current numbers.
HERD HEALTH All cattle selling have been vaccinated with Titanium, 7-way, Pasteurella as well as back-poured. Additionally, the heifers have been Bangs vaccinated. Each animal has also tested negative for BVD-PI. The bulls have either been tested for Trich or can be. Individual health certificates will be provided. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The bulls will sell under the standard terms and conditions as recommended by the American Angus Association.

Ranch History
105 years ago, a young girl, Helen Joyce, married Dewey Lowry. Together they made their first home in a small dug out, using wood crates as cupboards with homemade curtains. The two of them worked hard, farming, raising cattle and horses. They would also go to little ropings and races, where this young girl would race her little grey mare for extra money. The two of them went from that little dug out to a home down in the canyons, where they raised two children, LonDale and Patsy. Patsy, the youngest, married Bob Pursley. The two of them stayed here on the ranch and had two girls, Rala and Bobbi. Rala married Jeff Moore and had a beautiful girl. Bobbi married JJ Quick and they stayed on the ranch to help it carry on. They had 3 children, Robert, Stormi, and Jami Jo. Robert married Montana Yocam and they have two handsome, ornery red headed boys, Crew and Creed. We are now on our 4th generation growing up here on the ranch and starting the 5th.
Mustang Ranch has grown from that little dug out and raising cross bred cattle to now raising Registered Black Angus for over 10 years. Our little ranch works hard to make sure we raise strong solid cattle. We take pride in the history of our ranch and the hard work that was put into it. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16. Our prayer is not just for our little Mustang Ranch, but for everyone to know Him.
