MEAL AND PRESENTATION

Presentation by Amanda Radke on “Bull Buying Strategies”
HERD HEALTH All cattle will have interstate health charts required for shipping into other sections of the United States. Bulls have been fertility tested and have passed a breeding soundness exam.
Herd Veterinarian - Christy Young, DVM, Valley View Veterinary Services BREEDING GUARANTEE McBride Angus Farms guarantees all bulls to be fertile and structurally sound through the first breeding season. In the event a bull becomes unable to breed cows for either of these reasons during the first breeding season, McBride Angus Farms will provide a replacement bull or issue credit, minus the salvage value of the bull, for purchase of another bull. Breeding season is defined as the 90-day period following the first turn out of the bull. The fertility guarantee does not cover the bull’s ability to produce freezable, high-quality semen suitable for artificial insemination. This is not a life insurance policy—this is a “failure-to-perform” guarantee. McBride Angus Farms must be notified prior to the culling or selling of the bull and may require a veterinarian examination of the animal. Please contact McBride Angus Farms with any questions.
REGISTRATION CERTIFICATES Cattle will be transferred to the buyer at the seller’s expense. Buyer must be sure to give the clerk the proper name and address for making transfers. A transferred certificate of registration will be mailed to the new owner at a later date.
ABSENTEE BIDS If you would like to place a bid on any lot but will not be able to attend the sale, please contact the owners, the sale manager or any member of the sale staff.
DELIVERY We are offering free delivery on multiple bull purchases within 100 miles. Delivery will begin following the sale.
INSURANCE Insurance for your purchases will be available at the clerk’s desk.

Welcome to our 6th Annual Production Sale! It’s hard to believe that we have been blessed to continue growing this business and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our previous buyers.
It’s a great time to be in the cattle business. As farms are disappearing every day, now is the time to focus on where you want to be in the future of this cattle industry. It is more important than ever on who can help you make your farms profitable.
We understand these markets come and go, our calf buying program is second to none. Especially when the market isn’t in your favor, you don’t need to lose valuable dollars. All of the bulls offered qualify for our buying program. Inside this catalog will better explain the details.
Our bull development program is unique to our area. They are developed on forage post weaning until November 10th 2024 when Performance Feeds Supreme Bull Mix is incorporated. At that point we cull based on scrotal development, confirmation, sound feet and attitude. We have found that the slower growing on the front end allows their frame and foot work to better develop based to their age. We’ve also found less bulls struggling to pass breeding soundness exams.
We want to thank our employees Andrew and Dan for doing a great job with the day-to-day operations. To operate at this scale, it truly takes everyone to make this successful.
I want to thank God for all the blessings he has bestowed on me and my family and wish you all a great rest of 2025!
See you on Thursday April 10th for a Premium Ribeye Sandwich dinner as Amanda Radke gives a bull buying strategy talk! Sale starts at 6pm!
THANK YOU! Mark Davis, Ethan Jolley and Josh Rollins for getting the cattle clipped and ready for pictures, videos and sale, Andy Higgins for pictures, Chris Earl for videos and Honor Ag Branding for catalog design!

As a new farmer who took over an old herd of cows a few years ago, I can’t say enough about how incredibly helpful McBride Farms has been. From day one, they’ve been an invaluable resource, always willing to answer my questions and provide ideas that have helped guide me through the learning curve. We purchased bulls from them, and I couldn’t be happier with the quality and health of the animals. They’ve proven to be a great investment for our operation. Additionally, McBride Farms has become our go-to for all of our meat processing needs. Their professionalism and commitment to quality shine through every step of the process. I’m incredibly grateful for their support, and I look forward to continuing to work with them for years to come.

“Being a small producer, the McBride buy back program works well for my operation. I was skeptical at first, but Mathew has lived up to his word in every aspect. I have been very pleased with the ease of transactions and Mathew’s willingness to answer any questions I have had. It has been a great experience and I look forward to doing more business in the future.
Casey Botts – Ooltewah, TN
“Buying Bulls and doing business with McBride Angus Farm has been one of the best decisions I have made in the 30 years of being in the cattle business. They have great Bulls , but their service and buy back program sets them far apart from typical cattle breeders. They provide good Bulls that are easy to get along with, do their job and sire calves that preform as expected.Their buyback program lets a commercial cattlemen know before he loads them in a trailer, what they will sell for and avoid ALL the games from buyers and sale barns. I highly recommend doing business with this family who you can trust!
David Bell – Middleton, TN
“I’ve owned my bull for four years now and he’s been an excellent performer. He’s very easy to handle and his overall meat quality is exceptional. You can’t go wrong with the buyback program being able to drop sale cattle off at my convenience and getting paid a premium is better than I would get at any cattle sale in the area.

From day 1 this guy has been special. When we acquired his donor dam 362S as a bred heifer from Gardiner we were just excited to get to flush her. Little did we expect that she would give us all the assurance we needed in this bull right here. Folks if you are wondering what we like and what we want to showcase its bulls like S2401. We had the chance to buy this bulls dam in Sequatchie Valley Angus dispersal. She was a product of my uncle Allen Henry’s last mating before he died. Special cow family, really nice bull. 9 EPDs in Top 25%.

The winning bidder can flush her to the bull of their choice. We will guarantee 6 transferable embryos. If the winning bidder wishes, they can double or triple their bid and take all 3 offerings.
