WELCOME CATTLEMEN

Welcome to the first ever Cattlemens Cut Cowcutta Female sale. First, we want to thank you for your interest in our sale. This is our first ever female sale for public offering, and to be honest, we come to you with mixed emotions. These cows are the bread and butter that allowed us to be here, and we are forever grateful to them for what they have done here at the Cattlemens Cut. We know we would not be standing here, in the beautiful heart of the Sandhills, without them, and all the work they’ve done for us. The cows are the heart of our proven cows and they’ve endured many bull sales, a move across the state, the birth of our daughter, and God knows they’ve watched us grow and develop, and evolve throughout the years. When we started 10 years ago, we knew the importance of our herd had to be on the cow, and we’ve spent every year being very particular about the cows that come to our place, knowing that our future truly lies in their hands.
As we walked each one of the cows that you’ll see in the following pages through the video ring, we were reminded of the opportunities that we have been presented over the years. From buying into cows from breeders in Nebraska that we looked up to as we were just starting our herd as broke college kids with a dream, to then a chance encounter to meet Mark Nikkel and purchase a load of cows from the historic and powerful Mill Brae herd, we have not only seen some of the best cows in the industry, but we’ve met the best of the best cattlemen as well. These cows have turned around and given us the gift of longevity and confidence in our herd and they’ve done everything we’ve ever asked them to do.
You’ll also see an offering of our bred heifers, and a select group of our heifers from each sire group from 2024. We want you to be able to witness what the female side of our program truly looks like from not only the mature side, but also the up and coming females that will take our herd forward.
We are so proud to offer these cows to the public knowing that they gave us everything we have now, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch them go to work for another person, and the next generation. We’re confident that they will bring someone the opportunities that we were also given. We couldn’t be more excited to see you on November 13th either at our home or online.
