Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in Borer Cattle and the genetics we have to offer. We are proud to be offering this set of bulls for sale March 3rd. We were fortunate to have your support in our first “real” sale in 2024 and look forward to continuing to earn your business moving into the future. This set of bulls is a lot of what we strive to produce: deep bodied & thick topped, backed by females that are sound structured & get the job done for us in a commercial setting. With a mix of ET calves and natural matings, we feel there is a good mix of both power and maternal in the offering.
We strive to produce cattle that will work in your herds. Growing thick progeny that will weigh at sale time. We have maintained a strict breeding & calving window to cull for fertility for many years. We have chosen donor cows that have produced the type of cattle we want in our herd. Solid producers with fertility, phenotype & easy keepers. We believe the bulls we have on offer will do just that.
All bulls are DNA parentage verified as well as HD50k tested. We believe the more data the better. Those numbers are provided in the salebook for each bull selling.
Mark your calendars! We will be hosting an open house on Sunday, March 2nd from 12-5 at our farm. Cattle will be penned and available for viewing that day. Of course, you can view them any time before the sale. Please call to set up a time. We hope to see you there!
DVAuction will be hosting our timed auction again this year. Bidding will open on Saturday March 1st and close on Monday evening March 3rd. Be sure to get signed up before the sale begins. It’s an easy process and notifications can be sent to your phone for lots you are interested in bidding on. We look forward to seeing many of you at the open house on March 2nd!

Bulls

CALVING EASE HHH Out of Keith’s favorite cow, 4018 is a highperforming do-it-all kind of bull. This Bartels Big Easy son will pack the pounds on your next calf crop. He had the highest weaning weight ratio at 122. His mother records a BW ratio of 2 @ 97 with WW ratio of 2 @ 113. With 12 EPDs in the top 25%, he is well-rounded and can do a lot of things. Like his sire, large feet that will help him cover a lot of ground. Docility is top notch.

CALVING EASE HH An ET son of Poss Pride 0623 who has been a powerful donor for us & Poss Angus, having sale highlights for both programs in 2024 & 2025. The cross here with Big Easy was a good one, giving us our highest actual weaning weight this fall at 720 pounds! Strong EPDs on this bull with over $300 $C and 11 EPDs in the top 25% of the breed. An impressive bull with extra frame. He’ll be a good one!

CALVING EASE H Another ET bull from Poss Pride 0623 with the tried & true influential sire Hoover No Doubt. This bull fills the chute in every direction! The wide-top on this bull is remarkable with a BIG hip. An impressive individual that will add thickness to calves which means more payweight in the fall. Twelve EPDs in the top 25% and 10 HD50k DNA scores in the top 25%, he brings a lot to the table. High growth & carcass numbers on this bull.

Sire of Lot 4 • Hoover No Doubt

BORER BIG EASY 4014

CALVING EASE HHH This short-eared bull was a standout in the pasture late summer as he is full of muscle. He turned a BW ratio of 100 into a 117 WW ratio! Quite a feat for any animal. Extra frame on this bull helps him cover lots of ground. This cow family is one of our staples here, as his granddam T K Miss Katee E267 has left us with 3 daughters in the herd and produced one of our high sellers last year. His dam, a Broken Bow daughter, had a bull sell last year for us and gave us a good one again this year. A sale high 12 EPDs in the top 25% along with 10 top 25% DNA marks, this bull does it all.

CALVING EASE HHH BORER Big Easy 4012 is out of a high producing SAV Prosperity daughter. She produced a high seller in last year’s sale. His dam has a WW ratio of 6 calves @ 106. A real functional bull with EPDs that are balanced throughout, showing good end product value and strong growth. A good ranch bull that should add longevity to any herd.
BORER VERSATILE 4017

CALVING EASE HHHH Here’s a high calving ease bull for anyone needing a heifer bull. His dam, an SAV Renown daughter has produced two sale bulls in the past for us. She has a BW ratio on progeny of 3 @ 91,

CALVING EASE HHH Back to some of our embryo program bulls. We REALLY like this Salvation son out of the dam of lot 1 Madge 1148! A 672 pound actual weaning weight. A VERY thick bull with moderate calving ease, strong growth & solid carcass values. This is a good bull that works in a lot of ways. 11 EPDs in the top 25% along with 8 DNA scores there as well. The dam behind this bull makes it valuable. She’s on her way to becoming a star for us with her BW ratio of 2 @ 97 turning in a WW ratio 2 @ 113.

Sire of Lot 14 • SAV Downpour 8794
CALVING EASE H Another bull out of the Mohnen Jilt 1685 cow, bringing added fertility. Downpour is a bull we’ve watched create great females throughout the industry and were hoping to do the same with this flush. This bull should be another female maker! Sensible EPDs across the board that should make no-nonsense females just like his dam.
Female Maker!
BORER NO DOUBT 4113

CALVING EASE HH Leave No Doubt! Here is a No Doubt son that we flushed from our Mohnen Jilt 1685 cow. We flushed this cow mostly to get more females, but this son is a good one with a proven sire behind him! The donor dam has had 8 calves with a 371 day calving interval. The recip dam didn’t do a great job raising him, but he has filled out nicely and has a powerful look, with an ADG over 4# since weaning. Should be a female maker and keep mature size down on retained females.

BORER BAM 4028

CALVING EASE HHH Here is the first of 3 bulls by our Mlnarik BAM bull. We chose him to add thickness and carcass merit to our later born bulls. 4028 is out of a solid producer from the Hoover program. She records a WW ratio of 3 @ 100 with a WW ratio of 3 @ 111. This is the youngest bull in the offering & brings moderate calving ease and a balanced EPD profile. He will grow into a good one.
BORER BAM 4020

CALVING EASE HH This bull comes from a beautiful Connealy Shamrock daughter that has done a good job for us here, recording a calving interval of 3 @ 376. With strong $C, RE, HP & $M, this is a bull that can check a lot of boxes with 7 EPDs in the top 25%.
