Guided Studies Program
Holy Family supports students with learning differences to become more effective and independent learners through our Guided Studies program. This class helps students become active learners by focusing on executive functioning skills, study skills, test-taking, note-taking and critical thinking skills.
The Student Support team helps to identify and determine eligibility for this course, which is based on one or more of the following criteria: 504 plan, IEP (Individualized Education Plan), ISP (Individualized Service Plan), ICLP (Individualized Catholic Learning Plan), and a diagnosis. Data from the High School Placement Test, Middle School transcripts, and teacher assessments are also analyzed to determine student eligibility.
College Prep

We give our students the academic foundation to meet challenges they will face at some of the nation’s finest universities. Most recently, 180 students graduated in the Class of 2024.

$16.5M in scholarships and awards

Three full-time College Counselors provide our students with a personalized college advising process that helps them find the right college or university that represents an excellent personal and academic fit.
Students are invited to discover who they are and what they think. We explore the full range of college options and help them find one that challenges them academically and aligns with their values, interests, and career goals.
On graduation day, our students realize how much Holy Family has changed them – spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally. Holy Family graduates have attended college or universities in 40 states, Washington D.C., the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia in the past five years.

Collared polo shirts with the HF logo on the left chest must be worn daily and are available in 6 colors. In addition, crewneck sweatshirts and quarter-zip pullovers are also approved. Long pleated or flat front dress pants, knee-length shorts, and approved skorts are permissible in khaki or black. There are no restrictions on where a student can purchase pants and shorts. Skorts must be purchased through Dennis Uniform.

Catholic Faith

“ We chose Holy Family because it stresses academic excellence, incorporates Catholic values, nurtures the whole person, promotes respect, and encourages self-growth. Holy Family’s community, culture, and teachers help students feel known and valued.”
The Our Lady Queen of the Angels Chapel is the heart of the school. Daily Mass, adorations, Stations of the Cross and Confessions are offered. In addition, school-wide Masses are also celebrated weekly throughout the school year.
All students must take eight semesters of theology and fulfill the community service graduation requirement through the Apostolic Ministry program. A new elective class, Dogmatics: What We Believe, is now offered to students seeking baptism, becoming Catholic, or completing their Sacraments of Initiation: Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
Students also participate in yearly retreats, designed to detach them from everyday distractions, offer time to encounter God, reflect on His Love and plan for their lives.
Ut Fidem, meaning “Keep the Faith,” is a Campus Ministry program which supports students through weekly small group meetings led by adult faith mentors. Students learn how to defend their Catholic faith and develop deep, personal relationships with Jesus.
Our full-time chaplain is available to all students for faith direction.

Athletics

Holy Family’s athletic program has a proud winning tradition dating back decades. Our teams compete consistently for conference and state titles and send athletes yearly to college programs.
We offer 22 sports with multiple levels, providing a comprehensive opportunity for student-athletes to compete and grow: Football, Softball, Girls/Boys Cross Country, Girls/Boys Soccer, Cheer, Poms, Girls Volleyball, Girls/Boys Golf, Girls/Boys Basketball, Girls/Boys Wrestling, Girls Swimming, Baseball, Girls/Boys Lacrosse, Girls Tennis, and Girls/Boys Track & Field.

He is considered one of the nation’s top strength coaches and was a two-time NCAA Strength Coach of the Year, and in his 12 years as the Director of Sports Performance at Stanford University, 42 Cardinal players were drafted into the NFL.

Fine, Practical & Performing Arts

We believe in the power of the arts to stimulate creative thinking and thus they are an important part of our academic curriculum.
We offer a broad selection of 16 choir, band, orchestra, and theater courses, ranging from introductory to advanced levels. In addition, students gain hands-on experience in our Visual Arts program with 24 courses in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and a variety of craft-based arts.
Whatever their choice, our students are inspired to take risks, find their passions, discover new talents, and experience the thrill of creative self-expression.
Students can take to the stage in a fall play and a spring musical, perform with in the orchestra or band at their popular fall, Christmas and spring concerts or showcase their vocal skills in the concert choir or the show choir.

“ It was easy to see the enthusiasm and great love the people in the school community have for Holy Family. We chose Holy Family because students are respected and encouraged to thrive. They take responsibility and are held accountable for their academic success. We also noticed that everyone in the building, students and staff, genuinely liked to be there. Most importantly, faith is talked about, but even more, it’s lived.”
