SECURITY PROCEDURES IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
To estimulate our guest to keep their good security habits, the hotel suggest the following:
Prepare
Examine the security procedures of the hotel.
Take note of emergency exits, alarms and fire extinguisher systems nearby your room and know how to operate them if necesary. Consult the map in your room. Know how to turn off the air conditioner. Keep your key room with you at all times.
Proceed
If you are certain there is a fire, inmediately call the operator dialing “0”.
In case of fire, place your hand on your door. If it feels hot, DO NOT OPEN IT. If you leave your room, take your key and your identification documents with you and proceed to the nearest emergency exit.
Keep yourself bellow smoke level in the corridor. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATOR.
The emergency exits open to stairs north and south. Enter, close the door behind you and-if possible-leave the building. If you are no able to go down and leave the building. Consider calmly wether you can reach the terrace, or return to your room.
Stay Alive
If you go back to your room, turn the air conditioner off. Wet your bed sheets, seal doors tightly with them.
Cover all crevices wich might let smoke in. Call the operator by dialing numbre “0” and give your room number, keep yourself as low as possible to avoid smoke inhalation.
Place a wet handkerchief over your nose and mouth. If the walls or a door gets hot throw water on them with ice bucket. Keep calm.
Other Instructions
If you are in a public area, take note of the nearest emergency exits. In case of fire or smoke, keep calm. Go to the nearest emergency exit and keep yourself bellow the smoke level.
Security Boxes
The Hotel provides you with in room safe deposit box with no additional charge, located inside the closet. Please read instructions before use. The hotel is not responsible for valuable items left in the room.
Electronic Locks
For your comfort and security our door locks are electronic. The operating instructions are on the key/cards.
Use of the Security Latch
For your own safety, use the security latch provided in the room lock.
TRAVELER SAFETY TIPS
• Do not open the door without verifying who is knocking. If a person claims to be an employee, call the front desk and ask if someone from their staff is supposed to be there.
When returning late in the evening use the main entrance of the hotel. Be observant and look around before entering parking lots.
Close the door securely anytime you are in your room and use all the locking devices provided.
Do not needlessly display guest room key in public or carelessly leave them on the table restaurant or other places where it can be easily stolen.
Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry.
Do not invite strangers to your room.
• Place all valuables in the safe deposit box available in your room.
Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
Check that sliding glass door or windows and connecting room all doors are locked.
• Please report to the management any suspicious activity.
