Invited by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to participate on the panel, "Impacts of Flooding on Mental Health in Houston." Selection was based on my extensive research on the self-rated mental and physical health of US Gulf Coast residents. It's a privilege to be able to contribute my expertise to this important discussion and work alongside other distinguished panelists in developing strategies for mitigating flood risk in the US Gulf Coast region.

Appointed as a member of an 11-person committee by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to advise the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) on equitable allocation of resources to socially vulnerable communities under President Biden's administration.
