MVC - Dual large

Veteran Cast Will Propel Colonials Far Amanda Fantasia Billerica

Keep An Eye On Billerica BILLERICA (16-6-1) With young talent back at each position, the Indians will be in the MVC-Dual title talk. The team advanced to the quarterfinals of the D-1 tournament a year ago. Headlining the offense for coach Tina Carrabba will be senior captain Brooke O'Leary. Also back a year older and stronger are senior Jessica Brouillette, sophomores Ashlie Jones, Sam Ginsburg and Rachel Peacock, and eighth-grader Clare Conway. Three defensemen are back that saw regular time last winter. That trio is senior Kelly Broderick, sophomore Amanda Fantasia and freshman Maddie Dechristoforo. Two goaltenders are back for Billerica as well in sophomore Amanda Burns and sophomore Carrissa Gordon.

ACTON_BOXBORO (15-7-2) Having lost just one player to graduation, the Colonials figure to be a solid bunch. Not only will they be a big player in the Large Division, but on a state-wide front as well. Coach Brian Fontas has a boatload of weapons up front that will keep opponents' defenses busy. Sophomore Megan Barrett (41 pts) and junior Leah Cardarelli (40 pts) will be the primary producers of a group that also includes senior captain Eleana

Alex Loblundo Acton-Boxboro

Cardarelli (26 pts), sophomore Olivia Keefe (21 pts) and sophomore Kaitlin Hoang (29 pts). New freshman Chloe Anestis adds depth. Senior Annie Messuri (30 pts), the reigning MVCDual MVP, will anchor the A-B defense, along with junior Alex Loblundo (13 pts). And in goal, the Colonials have sophomore Cali Loblundo (1.41 gaa), a three-year starter, and sophomore Melissa Bambery (2 shutouts) back.

Chelmsford Has All The Pieces In Place

Wolfpack Has Tourney Goal BOSTON LATIN The Wolfpack have set a goal of making the tournament for this season. Senior co-captain Jillian Lydon is equally adept at forward or defense. Senior Erika von den Benken is another key returnee at forward. On defense, senior co-captain Bridgette Collier will be a catalyst. Senior Pam Rioles and senior Caitlyn Berry also return for coach Mary Balaconis. In goal, look for senior Liz Lomuscio to get the job.

CHELMSFORD (9-11-1) Coach Lenny Rowe expects his team to score some goals this winter, and with the defensive group with another year of experience, the Lions could be ready to roar. Up front, senior captains Alicia Steeves and Taylor Inman will be leaders, while a lot of production will be expected from juniors Rachel Bossi and Juliann Sheehan. Anchoring the Lions defense will be junior Caitlyn McCabe. The goaltending duties will fall on either senior Siana Rosado or freshman Jess Hopkins.
