Tips for Master’s 2024 Graduation Ceremony
Dear Expected graduates,
We look forward to celebrating you at the upcoming HMS Master’s Graduation Ceremony. The ceremony takes place on Wednesday, May 22 at 1 PM (ET) under the tent on the HMS Quadrangle.
• Gates to the HMS Quadrangle will open at ~12:15 PM (ET).
• Graduates must enter at the gates near the steps of Gordon Hall behind the tent. Graduates received an email containing the exact location. If you wish to receive another copy of the Quad Tent Map for the meeting location please contact hms_masters_programs@hms.harvard.edu
• Guests can enter at the main entrance on Longwood Avenue or by using one of the two check-in gates on the promenade. To access these gates, walk up the stairs on either side of the Quadrangle Guests must be prepared to present their guest ticket (on your mobile device, or printed) to gain access.
• Note that all bags and personal items are subject to security inspection. Backpacks, bags or items larger than 12”x12”x12” are not permitted.
• Graduates can access the Gordon Hall check-in by walking down Longwood Ave along the bricks/pavers and continuing between the two bike cages. If you arrive early, please use the Countway Plaza tent space, also marked on the Masters Quad Tent Plan diagram, to convene until the staff is ready to check you in.
• Graduates must have their GradPass open on their mobile device, or printed if they elected to do so, and ready to scan when you arrive at the gate. Graduates are advised to visit their MarchingOrder profile to access their GradPass. Graduates can also access their guest tickets through the MarchingOrder profile. Note that the window to claim guests has closed.
• Event staff will direct you on the next steps for procession
• At the conclusion of the ceremony, please make your way to the reception located at the rear of the HMS Quadrangle tent.
