Dennis Hatchett is a visionary, strategist, and the current CEO of the Vessel Group, an advisory and consulting firm specializing in the energy technology space. Leveraging his 20+ years of experience in the energy trading industry, Dennis launched a globally recognized energy trading and risk management firm that provides clients with customized commodity trading solutions. From recruiting, training, and support to software implementations, advisory services, and proprietary software tools, Dennis and his team provide strategic guidance to clients looking to modernize and transform their processes to make technology a help, not a daily hassle. Prior to launching the Vessel Group in 2010, Dennis began his career as a commodities trader for power trading groups such as Calpine Energy Services and Texas Utilities, where he quickly ascended the ranks. As his career progressed, he transitioned to Senior Consultant and Project Manager roles at three leading energy technology consulting firms, including Quorum Business Solutions, Sungard (now FIS), and Allegro Development. It was during these experiences that Dennis found his superpower: relationship building. In many of his roles, Dennis successfully improved and turned around adverse client relationships, resulting in increased revenue.
