elcome to our 2025 sale, marking 48 years raising registered Limousin seedstock, 39 years of bull sales and our 9th on-farm sale. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our 2024 sale, we are tremendously grateful and honoured to have you be a part of our program - and us a part of yours. This is our entire livelihood, and we know the importance of your bull selection to yours. Selecting sires for your herd is the single most important investment you are making to impact your herd and your bottom line for years to come. We value the opportunity to discuss the bulls with you over the phone, or better yet, in person, to help you select the best options to suit your needs. Come for a pre-sale tour if you can, and if not be sure to give one of us a call to talk over the bulls and females.

We are proud to be the largest source of all registered, purebred two year old and yearling Limousin bulls from one herd, in one sale, in Canada. You will find 100% of the bulls and females in the sale to be purebred, registered Limousin animals. We have quality, in quantity. You will find a large selection of red, black, performance and calving ease options. Our cowherd has been built by staying true to our own program, for 48 years. We have built a herd of predictability, of females who do their jobs with ease all by themselves, and progeny who consistently offer genetic advancement to our customers and improvement to the industry. The vast majority of bulls in the sale rank in the top 1-5% of the Canadian Limousin herd book for stayability which speaks volumes about the longevity of our herd. Females that truly work in every way stay the course, and our cows work.

This year's sale offering represents both tried and true herd sires that we are highly confident in as well as some very exciting new genetics that we feel are exactly what the Limousin breed and beef industry need. The two year old bulls forage a large grass pasture all summer and fall and come in hardened, fit and ready to be grown out slow and steady for many years of breeding ahead. They will get ground and females covered. Our selection of yearling bulls is extremely strong and consistent all the way through. There is truly something for everyone in the yearling pen and we are very proud of this group. All of the sale heifers are homozygous polled. Canadian Junior Limousin Association members receive a 10% discount on female(s) purchased from the sale and juniors who enter their purchased female in the 2025 CJLA Impact Show in Swift Current, Saskatchewan will receive an additional $100 from us towards show entry fees. Please contact us to discuss options for post-sale management of female purchases and delivery to the Impact Show for out of province juniors.

As photos and videos were taken in early January, we are confident you will find the cattle to be far better in person now, and even more impressive when they are delivered to you as they continue to develop on the same slow TMR ration they are grown on through to delivery. BULL DEVELOPMENT Our feeding program is built to maximize forage utilization and

gut health. Forages are sampled and analyzed to ensure quality. The bulls have been summered on grass, and wintered on a forage-based TMR that matches suitable protein sources to proper starch to develop and express their genetic potential and promote lean muscle growth. Organic minerals are used to ensure proper immune function and overall health. Throughout the fall and first part of winter they are fed in the field, for maximum exercise. They will continue on the same feeding program post-sale. They have been responsibly developed slowly for longevity in commercial conditions. HERD HEALTH Hillview Farms is on a complete herd health vaccination program. Calves receive Bovi-Sheild Gold One Shot and Vision 8 Somnus + Spur before they go to pasture and are boostered pre-weaning with the same two vaccines. The coming two year old bulls are also boostered in the fall. Breeding females receive Covexin Plus, Vira Shield 6 + VL5 HB and Scour Bos. Every animal also receives Solmectin in the fall and CyLence in the winter. All bulls have been scrotal measured, semen tested, and inspected by a veterinarian prior to sale. A copy of the test results will be provided to the buyer. Weights, scrotal measurements and homozygous polled results (where applicable) will be available prior to sale day. Heifers will be palpated by a veterinarian prior to sale.

DELIVERY & BOARDING $100 off your purchase if taken home sale day. Free delivery to central regions in Western Canada, at the convenience of Hillview Farms, and buyers risk.

Hillview Farms will arrange for trucking at buyer’s cost for purchases going to Eastern Canada or other areas. Purchases can be kept until April 1, 2025, at no charge, after that time, cattle will be kept for $4/day. Please insure purchase(s) left at Hillview Farms.

HOMOZYGOUS POLLED TESTING 100% of calves from bulls listed as homozygous polled will be polled even if bred to horned cows. Animals listed as heterozygous polled are polled themselves but their progeny is not guarenteed to be polled. Scurs are a separate gene and not tested for. Homozygous polled cattle may still have scurs but will not have horns.

We thought enough of her to flush her and her impact as a superior female is evident. Hillview Last Samurai 966L packs a great deal of thickness and shape over his top and hip. He is good boned, has a deep, soft middle and a fantastic quiet attitude.

Laughlin 247L ranks high in the two year old pen for overall balance and attractive look. He is a heavily muscled, thick dude with an ideal neck set and extra length of spine. He has a bold rib shape and as an added bonus this high performing bull is homozygous polled and will give you all polled calves even if bred to horned cows. 1275 actual YW, 1136 adjusted YW for a YW ratio of 105. Out of our Zealous Girl 247Z cow, another female who underlines the longevity that is a staple in our herd. I don't mention it in every footnote because I'd sound like a broken record but many, many of the sale bulls rank in the top 1-5% of the breed for stayability which predicts differences in the percentage of bulls' daughters that will remain in production through age six. If Lexus makes you think of high performance and luxury then Lexus is a fitting name for Lot 9. He is one of the biggest topped, impressively muscled two year olds. He patterns a great deal after his sire Hulk. He is the real deal, a very high quality herd sire prospect with extra depth and rib shape. 1170 actual YW, 1037 adjusted YW. We really can't say enough good things about the Yowza daughters that have been paying their way for over a decade and Lexus' dam is no exception. We score Lexus very high as a herd sire prospect that will work in a lot of different operations to add production value to your calf crop.

Big time cow power here - Lot 7's dam Cinderella is one of the leading females in the herd in terms of both phenotype and her performance and progeny record. At 10 years of age she is going strong and raising great ones year after year. Lone Wolf is a high performing bull with size and frame. 105 WW ratio and 916 lb. actual weight at weaning time. He had an actual yearling weight of 1260 and 1132 adjusted YW to ratio 105. His maternal sister, Hillview Hidden Gem 4H, produced Lot 15 as well as Hillview Mystic 401M who our daughter Rylin is campaigning.

Luxor is the only direct RPY Paynes Elevation 43E son on offer this year and he is a great one at that.

We have had well over 70 calves off Elevation and we are very confident in him to give us progeny with frame size, style, muscle shape, ample length, a solid foot and good bone and excellent temperaments.

He stamps them out just like himself and they are the high performing, easy gaining kind. Luxor himself is square made with extra thickness and a deep sweeping middle. He ranks in the top 15% of the breed for milk. Actual YW of 1195 and 1112 adjusted YW. We have a maternal sister retained in our herd.

Our cowherd certainly works for us, not the other way around. We don’t have time (and we know you don’t either) to deal with calving issues, poor udders, or disposition issues.
