WELCOME Welcome to our 6th annual on-farm sale! 2022 marks the 45th year we

have been raising registered Limousin breeding stock. What a journey it has been! We have seen the Limousin breed evolve to meet customer demands and stay true to the breed’s greatest strengths, providing unparalleled value to the commercial industry. Through the years our values and breeding goals have been consistent. We place a great deal of emphasis on having low maintenance, high performing, broody, sound structured females with good dispositions, udder quality and breed character. As you look through the lots, we hope you will notice the importance of our cow families and the exceptional contribution a number of females have made not only to our own herd but those of cattlemen and breeders who have invested in our genetics. We run a very commercially realistic herd and raising the highest quality beef bulls for our customers has always been the #1 goal!

We have an incredibly deep and consistent set of two year old bulls representing our four tried and true herd sires - Dozer, Distributer, Elevation and Zodiac. No guessing here! We have registered between 60-120 progeny respectively on each of these sires and we have a great deal of confidence in what they each bring to the table. Our yearling pen is the cream of the crop! They represent a mix of AI sires - Payne’s Diesel, Wulfs Bank Robber and WZRK Doublewide - and exciting walking sires; Anchor B Fulton, EMF Fast Lane, Pinnacle’s Geode, and Richmond Zodiac.

We are as excited as we have ever been about the selection of open heifers offered this year. These five females are the kind that could hit the show road and are going to be productive, front pasture females. We are pleased to offer a 10% discount to any Canadian Junior Limousin Association member who purchases a female from the sale. Every animal in the sale is a purebred, registered Limousin and comes with a registration paper. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about interpreting the data provided on the sale lots.

We understand the importance of this as being the single most important investment you are making to impact your herd and your bottom line for years to come. Nothing is better than coming to see the bulls in person.

We invite you to please come ahead of the sale to tour the offering. We would be more than happy to give you an individual tour of the lots. We are providing a $100 sale credit and entry into a customer appreciation draw for everyone who tours between February 1 and March 4. If you cannot make it in person, please give us a call to discuss the cattle and let us help you make the best purchase(s) for your operation. Our sale staff are also available to discuss the cattle with you and assist you in making your buying decisions, we encourage you to reach out to them with any questions. As photos and videos were taken in early January, we are confident you will find the cattle to be far better in person now, and even more impressive when they are delivered to you as they continue to develop on the same slow TMR ration they are grown on from weaning through to delivery.

We love this industry - how lucky we are to get to do what we love as a family; raising cattle, crops and the 4th generation on the land the Verbeek family has farmed for 105 years. LIMOUSIN LEGACY PROJECT We invested in genotyping and homozygous polled testing our cowherd through the CLA’s Limousin Legacy 100K genotyping project in 2021. In addition to phenotypic evaluation and sound data collection, we are pleased to be a part of the continual improvement in accuracy of EPDs within the breed and our own herd.
