Cannon Completes Tufts Project

Columbia Construction CM, APH Plumbing, Wayne J. Griffin Electrical

Medford, MA - Cannon Design announced the completion of the Biology Department Collaborative Cluster Project at Tufts University in Medford. A “collaborative cluster” formed by a 24,100gsf renovation was designed to facilitate collaboration among Tufts biology researchers. The technologically advanced cluster accommodates 70 researchers in a sustainable research environment with six wet laboratories and a range of associated support spaces, including an aquatic suite, insect rooms, a dedicated electrophysiology suite with fluorescence imaging capability, and specialized rooms for fly, fish, and frog experimental models. Additional spaces include offices for senior researchers, work areas for postdoctoral and graduate students, a central lounge, and a 50-seat classroom. Laboratories feature moveable workstations and
