HONOR CODE IS A SERIOUS AND MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCE.
We, the students of High Point University, believe that honesty and integrity are essential to student development, whether personal, social, or academic.
Therefore, we assert that:
Every student is honor-bound to refrain from conduct which is unbecoming of a High Point University student and which brings discredit to the student and/or to the University;
Every student is honor-bound to abstain from cheating;
Every student is honor-bound to abstain from collusion;
Every student is honor-bound to abstain from plagiarism;
Every student is honor-bound to confront a violation of the University Honor Code;
Every student is honor-bound to report a violation of the University Honor Code.

The Office of Residence Life staff are prepared to assist students with this transition to make their residential experience as successful as possible. The roommate workbook is an online tool through eRezLife that helps guide conversations between roommates and housemates with topics related to living in a shared space. This workbook is where students will house the guidelines they determine as a result of these conversations. If the workbook needs to be referred to for any reason, all students will have access to view and revise it through their eRezLife account. Returning students sharing any living space are highly encouraged to complete this workbook at the beginning of the academic year.
All first-year students are required to complete this workbook during their community meetings. RAs will provide more information closer to their community meeting.
Panther chats are one-on-one intentional conversations between Resident Assistants and residents that allow students to actively reflect on their experience at HPU and set goals for the future. The university dining plan is required for all undergraduate residential students. As part of your housing assignment, students are defaulted to the 14 meals per week dining plan.
The following information is provided to help you identify the dining plan that best meets your needs. If you would like to change your meal plan, you can do so via your student portal at my.highpoint. edu and choosing the Dining Plan Selection link on the right.
The Farmers Market, The Café, The Silver Line Diner and The Village Grille all accept global meal swipes. Each time you dine with one of these locations, one meal is deducted from your weekly meal allowance at time of purchase and is automatically replenished each week.
Get more for your swipe—use seven of your meals for select options at food courts and restaurants across campus throughout the semester. Magic Meals and offerings vary between locations. Magic Meals are deducted from your account at time of purchase and are automatically replenished each week.
Already included just for you! Dining Dollars work just like cash on your passport, are accepted at all HPU dining locations except 1924 Prime, Alo, and Kazoku and are meant to supplement your Magic Meals. For details visit dining.highpoint.edu/meal-plans/. The Dining Dollar amount is per semester and does not transfer from semester to semester. You may also use your Dining Dollars at concessions during any athletic events.
The HPU registered dietician can be reached at dining.highpoint.edu/our-story/eat-well/
Students are able to visit a Fine Dining restaurant once a week as part of their meal plan. Reservations are required at finedining.highpoint.edu. These restaurants have a business professional dress code.
WHEN YOU VISIT THE CITY OF HIGH POINT, YOU IMMEDIATELY KNOW YOU ARE WELCOMED HERE.
The university is celebrated in the Piedmont Triad International Airport when you arrive, and purple HPU flags fly across the city with the “We Heart HPU” signs that businesses proudly display.
Through the “Our City. Our University.” program, local businesses in High Point proudly support the university through banners, flags, umbrellas and more that the university supplies. This welcomes the university’s 150,000 annual visitors and helps students feel connected when they frequent their favorite restaurant or retailer and see HPU represented.
Nearly 100 local businesses are also “Passport Partners” who accept the HPU Passport Card as payment. This program connects local businesses with a thriving university community.
Weekly shopping shuttles also provide free transportation for students to High Point businesses.
It all reflects a strong partnership between the university and the city each supports the other.
