FOLLOWING THE CONVOCATION CEREMONY FAMILIES ARE INVITED TO TAKE A FINAL MOMENT WITH THEIR STUDENTS, SHARE A HUG AND CELEBRATE THIS MILESTONE TOGETHER BEFORE DEPARTING CAMPUS.

HONOR CODE IS A SERIOUS AND MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCE.

THE UNIVERSITY HONOR CODE

We, the students of High Point University, believe that honesty and integrity are essential to student development, whether personal, social, or academic.

Every student is honor-bound to abstain from cheating;

Every student is honor-bound to abstain from collusion;

Every student is honor-bound to abstain from plagiarism;

Every student is honor-bound to confront a violation of the University Honor Code;

Every student is honor-bound to report a violation of the University Honor Code.

The roommate workbook is an online tool through eRezLife that helps guide conversations between roommates and housemates with topics related to living in a shared space. This workbook is where students will house the guidelines they determine as a result of these conversations. If the workbook needs to be referred to for any reason, all students will have access to view and revise it through their eRezLife account. Returning students sharing any living space are highly encouraged to complete this workbook at the beginning of the academic year.

All first-year students are required to complete this workbook during their community meetings. RAs will provide more information closer to their community meeting.

PANTHER CHATS

Panther chats are one-on-one intentional conversations between Resident Assistants and residents that allow students to actively reflect on their experience at HPU and set goals for the future. The following information is provided to help you identify the dining plan that best meets your needs. If you would like to change your meal plan, you can do so via your student portal at my.highpoint. edu and choosing the Dining Plan Selection link on the right.

GLOBAL DINING

The Farmers Market, The Café, The Silver Line Diner and The Village Grille all accept global meal swipes. Each time you dine with one of these locations, one meal is deducted from your weekly meal allowance at time of purchase and is automatically replenished each week.

YOUR CITY. YOUR UNIVERSITY.

WHEN YOU VISIT THE CITY OF HIGH POINT, YOU IMMEDIATELY KNOW YOU ARE WELCOMED HERE.

The university is celebrated in the Piedmont Triad International Airport when you arrive, and purple HPU flags fly across the city with the “We Heart HPU” signs that businesses proudly display.

Through the “Our City. Our University.” program, local businesses in High Point proudly support the university through banners, flags, umbrellas and more that the university supplies. This welcomes the university’s 150,000 annual visitors and helps students feel connected when they frequent their favorite restaurant or retailer and see HPU represented.

Nearly 100 local businesses are also “Passport Partners” who accept the HPU Passport Card as payment. This program connects local businesses with a thriving university community.

Weekly shopping shuttles also provide free transportation for students to High Point businesses.

It all reflects a strong partnership between the university and the city each supports the other.

For more information on High Point, our community and our Passport Partners, visit www.highpoint.edu/community
