THIS WEEK’S BIG READ: ZEITGEIST POLTERGEISTS
Belief in ghosts has been around for almost as long as human beings have. Ghosts - also known as poltergeists, spectres, spirits, or phantoms - are central to a range of folklore, and are an important part of religious and spiritual beliefs worldwide. This is because they are a way for living people to communicate with the dead.
But ghosts are not just important in these areas of our culture: they are also common subject matter films, TV shows and songs. In these stories, they are usually linked to a specific place, person or possession, and can wreak havoc for the humans they interact with!
