Hydraulic system - 6000 Adjustments

12.4 Adjustments

Adjustment of the pressure limit valve

The pressure limit valve is set to the correct value at the factory, but may need to be adjusted if the valve or complete hydraulic unit is replaced.

The truck should be able to lift a load of between 850 and 900 kg on the forks and between 1650 and 1700 kg on the support arms.

1.Lock nut.

2.Adjuster screw, pressure limit

When the screw is turned clockwise pressure increases. When the screw is turned counter clockwise pressure decreases.

•Loosen the lock nut (1).

•Place a load of 800 kg on the forks and check that the truck can lift it with the fork lift.

•If the truck cannot lift 800 kg the pressure limit valve is adjusted by turning the adjuster screw (2) clockwise until the truck is able to lift the load.

•If the truck can lift 800 kg, place a further 100 kg on the forks. Check that the truck cannot lift the load with the fork lift.

•If the truck can lift 900 kg the pressure limit valve is adjusted by turning the adjuster screw (2) counter clockwise until the truck is unable to lift the load.
