ENGLISH VEHICLE MOVING INSTRUCTIONS FOR AD610C CARRIER MACHINES EQUIPPED WITH JOYSTICK STEERING

IMPORTANT: Read and understand these safety instructions before loading or off loading this machine. See operator’s manual in the storage box in the cab for additional information.

1. Turn battery disconnect switch ON . This switch is located behind the access panel on the left side of engine compartment.

2. Ensure area is clear before moving machine and that any personnel are at a safe distance.

3. Remove securing pins and red articulation lock bar from between frames and install in storage location on the side of the rear frame.

4. Sit in operator’s seat, fasten seat belt and close both doors.

5. Place both seat armrests in down, operating position. For safe operation of all controls the operator’s seat must be locked in either the forward facing or rear facing position.

ARTICULATION LOCK

Tigercat® 6. Check that outside personnel have not moved into a hazardous location near the machine, before starting the engine.

7. Press horn button several times to alert personnel in the area of your intent to start engine. The horn button is on the control panel.

8. Turn key switch to RUN position and observe computer display.

9. Wait for WAIT TO START warning on computer display to turn off. If the engine is already warm the display will show gauges.

10. Ensure that the parking brake is on. The parking brake icon on the computer display will be illuminated (red) when the parking brake is engaged.

11. Turn key switch to START position , release when engine fires.

Warning: Joysticks are now operational.

13. Use dozer control lever to raise

dozer blade.

Tigercat® 14. Use the direction selection switch on the left hand joystick to select the direction of travel.

This switch selects the direction of travel for the travel/engine speed pedal in use (either forward facing or rear facing).

This is a three position switch.

Place switch in the forward position to travel in a FORWARD* direction.

LEFT HAND JOYSTICK

Place switch in the center position for neutral.

Place switch in the rear position to travel in a REVERSE* direction. *NOTE: Control of machine travel is automatically transferred by the computer control system from the forward facing travel/engine speed pedal to the rear facing travel/engine speed pedal based on the position of the operator’s seat. Therefore FORWARD and REVERSE as described above are considered to be forward and reverse as viewed by the operator either from the forward facing seat position or the rear facing seat position.

15. Move machine by pressing travel foot pedal .

NOTE: The crane must be in the parked position to drive the machine.

Tigercat® 16. Steer machine by slowly moving the left hand steering joystick in the direction desired.

17. Once the machine is in the desired location stop machine.

18. Use dozer control lever to lower

dozer blade.

20. Turn key switch to STOP position

to turn OFF engine.

21. If transportation of machine is to continue, reinstall red articulation lock bar between the front and rear frames.

Tigercat® TRANSPORTING INSTRUCTIONS

The machine may be transported with the wheels on or off.

With wheels on:•

DO NOT remove air from tires, this will result in damage to the tires!

With wheels off:•

•

The crane must be placed in the park position.

•

The articulation lock bar must be installed.

Additional chains may be installed on the two tow lugs (front of unit) and on the bottom cab access steps.

Use only transport regulation chains for this purpose, example; 5/16” grade 7 with a tensile strength of 43500kg(96,000lb)/chain. Using inferior or damaged chains could cause the load to shift.

Do not secure the machine to the truck ANYWHERE near the center joint area as this can seriously damage the center joint.

With the wheels on or off:The dozer blade must be down on the truck bed.

The machine must be cross chained (side to side) at both the front and rear axle area.

IMPORTANT !

When transporting the machine, chains must be used to prevent forward, reverse and side to side movement of the machine.

If the wheels are removed the machine must be blocked so that the center joint is one inch or more above the truck bed.
