Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) may irritate eyes or skin. Do not get in eyes. Do not get on skin.

Attach a grounding strap to an unpainted metal surface on the machine if the refuelling tank or nozzle is so equipped.

First Aid treatment: DEF contains Urea. If swallowed call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting. If in eyes rinse with water for 15 minutes. If on skin rinse well with water. If irritation persists seek medical treatment.

Check that no other personnel have moved into a hazardous area before starting the machine. Sound the horn to signal bystanders before starting the machine.

WARNING Use only diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) which meets ISO 22241 specifications. Never fill the DEF tank with any other fluid. The operator's seat is equipped with lap and shoulder harness belts. Use both of these restraint systems at all times when operating the machine.

DEF fluid is injected into the exhaust gas stream during normal operation of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) aftertreatment system.

START the engine by following the instructions in this manual. Refer to OPERATING MACHINE in SECTION 2 of the OPERATOR’S MANUAL.

Use of other fluids may cause component damage, or a fire risk which could result in death or serious injury.

Never use a liquid starting aid to START the engine. This machine is equipped with a computer controlled heating element in the engine intake system. Starting fluids will explode on contact with the heating element. 1.9
