Air Bleeding Procedure

Y-3 Air Bleeding Procedure

1. Double gear pump and variable displacement pump

[NOTICE] ï PTO : OFF ï A/C : OFF ï Oil cooler : OFF

Be sure that the following conditions are met before starting the engine.

The following is also possible. After performing step 3 under 1.1, perform step 2 under 1.2. Start the engine, then turn PTO ON, and run-in the engine for 10 minutes.

Perform the following cylinder air bleeding at medium engine speeds (1000 min-1) or less. If the oil temperature is to be increased for the purpose of pressure adjustment, do so when there are no bubbles in the oil tank as a result of air bleeding. (Wait approximately 30 minutes after bleeding the air.)

1.1 Double gear pump (Steering and swing pump)

1. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with the hydraulic oil.

2. With the engine stopped, loosen the air-bleed plug on the suction flange of the main pump. After bleeding air from the suction side, tighten the plug again.

[NOTICE]

The unload relief valve is in unload status at all times if PTO is not ON.

3. Start the engine (with PTO OFF) and run it at idle (approximately 770 min-1) while bleeding the air from the circuit for 1 minute.

4. Start the engine, and run-in the engine for 10 minutes at idle.

1.2 Variable displacement pump

1. Fill the oil tank with hydraulic oil. (If the suction section was disassembled for repair or other reasons, bleed air from the air-bleed plug on the suction side, as described above.)

[NOTICE]

If the tank is to be pressurized, pressurize it at a pressure of 15 kPa (2.2psi) or less.

2. Bleed the air from the pump case. Remove the air-bleed plug from the top of the pump. Inject oil into this location until it overflows, then reinsert the plug.

3. Start the engine, with PTO ON, and run-in the engine at idle for 5 minutes. (At the time PTO turns ON, unload relief pressure is supplied to Acc.)
