Driver´s manual Frame (1) Compact welded box frame is a fundamental supporting element of the machine, in which is the engine (2) with gear box (3), saw set with differential (7) mounted. To the frame are next sets of the machine mounted.

On the upper part of the frame is the driver´s post (17).

There is a possibility to add the weight to the machine using mounted additive weight (23) from the bottom part of the frame, also by loading the internal space (24) by the frame sides with sand, iron bulls etc. There are the holes with covers for unloading the weight placed on the sides of the frame fig. 1.

The travel part The front and back axle with four wheels on each side. The axles are hanged on the frame opposite to each other, so the spaces between the front and back axle wheels are overlapped.

Motive aggregate Is a part of the engine set (2) with three-level reverzational gear box with converter (3) and with combined cooler (4) with equalization basin (5), which cools the engine liquid and hydraulic gear-box oil. The motive aggregate is elastically mounted in the frame using the attenuator set. fig. 2.

The back axle Fixed, propelled with wheels on two perpendicular gearboxes (8) with decreasing shift. All wheels of rear axle are braked.

Machine power The power of the machine is carried by hydrodinamic transducer of the twisting moment to the three-level reverzational gear box, mounted to engine flywheel with the electrical gear shifting shifted under laoding (Powershift).

The gear box is choosable with or without the modulation - on the request. The modulation is a directed smooth switching of the first gear level front or back. The output gear shaft is connected with the propeller shaft (6) to the differential (7). The output transmissions (8) with the gears are mounted in the vertical boxes with oil filling.

The output shafts of the ending transmissions are grooved and there are the wheel hubs with brakes sets mounted.

The front axle (9) Drivable, nonbreakable without propulsion, swinging mounting of the two pairs of the wheels. Both axles are isostatically hanged on the two hydraulically connected telescopic clusters (10), that level the loading between left and right pair of wheels.

Service brakes (11) The wheel brakes are hydraulical, drum, one-circle with pneumatic brake booster of the brake effect commonly with manual correcting of the clearence between the lining or according to the wish could effect to all wheels of the back axle fig. 1.

The brake shoes are with non-asbestic lining. The power source for the brakes is the power of compressed air collected in the air tank. Compressed air approach to the compressor by steel tube to the air dryer with integrated pressure regulator and then by plastic tubes to the air tank.

From the air tank is the air leaded to the input of both braking valves. From the brake vlave comes the compressed air through two-way non-return valve to the brake effect booster. Brake effect booster with the main braking cylinder makes the pressure on the brake liquid in the main braking cylinder by its piston. From the braking cylinder the liquid is under pressure leaded by brake tubes to the braking valves of all four brakes.

2.1. Machine description Function of the braking mechanism By the pressure of the brake liquid in the system are the pistons inside the disc brake cylinder (1) pushed forward and they will press both jaws (2) against the drum.

The brake effectivity is almost the same in both directions fig. 3.

WARNING !

When the brakes power is non-sufficient (remarkable delay when stepping the brake pedal to start of effect the brakes is noticed – long step), is necessary to do the inspection and adjusting of the brake jaws acc. to the chap. 3.5.51. Maitenance and Lubrication Manual.

The parking and emergency brake (12) Disk brake, negatively is directed by electropneumatical meanings. The brake effects on input shaft of the final drive. The power of braking energy is a spring cylinder, with electropneumatically releasable brakes by compressed air. The emergency brake is drived by switch (26) fig. 4 .

Driving Using the hydraulical driving are the front wheels turned by the set of driving rods and levels directed by the straight hydraulic engine, to which is the compressor iol added from gear aggregate situated on gear box (3) through power steering (13) directed by steering wheel. The hydro generator sucks the oil from driving tank with filter (14) fig. 1.

Driver´ s manual Fuel tank (15) Mounted to the back part of the frame, is a part of the machine back over the back wheels. Is equipped with the filler with bleeding and lockable cover (1). On the bottom of the tank is a outlet with a plug. Under the tank lid (2) is a sensor of the fuel level indicator fig. 5.

The Cowling (16) Laminated profilled stamping is a part of the cowling tacked on the front part of the frame before the driver´s post with the gap for input of the cooling air to the radiator, with the gap for the suction air to the engine air cleaner and with vertical leaks on the sides for the output of the cooling air from the radiator. It may be folded to front and is secured in the folded possition by the brace (1). The cowling may be locked by pressing to the lock and may be opened using the lever under the control desk of the driver´s post fig. 6.

Driver´s post (17) Is equipped with two seats mounted to the machine´s frame, with doubled driving and handlers and control devices. On this post is mounted secure rail with the canopy, without the canopy or the cab. The cab doors are lockable, opened using the gas spar. The door window can be fasten in the oppened possition fig. 7.

The front and rear window is equipped with wiper with washer and internal fan.

2.1. Machine description Electrical installation Accumulator, alternator, starting gear, control and manipulating devices and appliances together forming the electrical installation of the machine see electric installation scheme in the appendix to Maintenance and Lubrication manual. Working voltage 12 V, minus pole of the accumulator battery is grounded via disconnector fig. 8.

Tires sprinkling (19) Working areas of the tires of front and rear axles are sprinkled against sticking the biological rests on their surfaces during compaction. The water is sucked from the tank by the pump and delivered by plastic pipes to the tubes with nozzles, that are sprinkling individual tires fig. 10.

Tire sprinkling tank (18) Plastic water tank is placed on the middle part of the frame under the engine, is filled by the socket on the right side of the machine fig. 9. The water distribution is lead by the plastic pipes to the nozzles of each wheel. The water is distributed by electrical pump with filter.

Driver´ s manual The wheels with tires (20) are on the machine connected to the central pumping, enabling to change the tire pressure in the scope of 2-6 bar (0,2-0,6 MPa) (29-87 PSI). With the change of the pressure is also changing the shape and area of the tire and so is changing the effect on the surface.

Protective frame ROPS (22) Is a construction, which protects the crew from overturn the machine. It meets the international requirements for machine crew protection according the standarts EN 5004:1995; ISO 3471:1994; SAE J 1040:APR88; AS 2294:1990; for maximum weight to 24000 kg. The frame data are included on the label on the frame fig. 12.

Scrapers (21) The working tires area is cleaned by the brush scrapers from the rests of sticked earth, soil. The scrapers are pulled to the tires surface with springs fig. 11.

2.2. Deconservation And Inspection Of New Machine Before putting the machine in work :

• check the machine according to the transport documents

• check if there are not any machine’s parts damaged because of the transport, or if there are not any missing parts

• inform the transporter about the deficiency • before putting the machine into operating do the global machine de-conservation

• wash the machine using the high-pressure hot water stream with additive of common de-lubricators (keep the ecological regulations).

The de-conservation and washing the machine do on places with collective catchments for catching the waste waters and de-conservative agents.

2.3. The main safety precaution 2.3.1.

Safety precaution by the machine operating

The safety precautions mentioned in individual chapters of the technical documentation delivered with this machine must be supplied with safety precautions valid in the contractor country on the workplace according to work ogranization, working process and personnel.

Driver´s manual 2.3.1.3. Secure the safety disposals by watcher • The watcher has to secure the observating of the machine only in that conditions, and for that purposes, for which is technically designed under the conditions approved by the manufacturer and by appropriate standarts.

2.3.1.2. The work in dangerous area All damages of the engineering nets must be immediately reported to their watcher, simultaneously the securing acts must come into performance for avoiding the enter of unauthorized personnel to endangered area.

The worker is not allowed to work alone on the working place, where is no one in sight or on earshot, who can in the case of accident provide the help or call for it, if isn´t secured other form of control or connection.

2.3. The main safety precaution 2.3.2.

By using the safety frame ROPS:

• The driver has to wear the safety belt working with the machine.

• The machine frame in the place of connection has not to be damaged (broken, bent etc.).

• The frame itself has not to be marked as rusty, damaged, thin leak or splits.

• The ROPS frame has not to be released during the actions.

• All screw connections must meet the specification and have to be tightened to prescribed power.

• The screws and nuts have not to be damaged, deformed and have not to show the rusty marks.

The requirements for the driver´s qualification

• The roller may be provided by driver trained according the ISO 7130 and next international and national rules and standarts assigned for the drivers of such machine group.

• Without the needed approval may drive the machine only who is learning to drive the machine with approval of the owner under stright and continual supervising of the expert teacher or trainer, for the purpose of getting the preliminary skills.

• The owner of the approval (licence) is obliged to take care about the licence and has to give the licence for controll to the authorities - police.

Driver´s Obligations

• Before moving the machine he is obliged to check is the steering and braking systems work well.

• Before operation of the machine begun, driver is obliged to study instructions given in the manual delivered with the machine, mainly with the safety regulations, and obey them properly. The same is valid for a personnel entrusted to carry out lubrication, maintenance, adjusting and repairs of the machine. If you don´t understand some parts of the manual, contact the nearest dealer or the manufacturer.

Group 580 (40), EXTRA WEIGHT, is a group supplied only to customer’s order (option) and installed in the factory. It is therefore considered to be an integral part of the machine. The group includes 5 (6) (depends on the machine type) pieces of WEIGHT castings drawing nr. 311 113 of about 900 kg (1984 lb) each. Any unprofessional handling is very dangerous and therefore not permitted, since it may cause serious injury.

• to work with the machine in such a place, where the driver cann´t see from the driver´s post and where could exist the danger for other personnel and property, until sufficient work safety is reached for ex. by means of signalizations by adequately trained person.

• to work with the machine in the protective area of highvoltage viring and transformer stations.

• to run across the power cables, if they are not sufficiently protected against mechanical damage.

• to work with the machine at a low visibility and at night, until the working area and the jobsite is sufficiently illuminated.

Dangerous burn ups

Dont touch the hot parts of the machine until you find it sufficiently cold. Don´t open the radiator cover and don´t let out the fillings until they are hot. There is a danger of burn up and stain -(On the console of filter suction).

2.4. Ecologic and hygienic fundamentals During the operating and storing the machines is the owner obliged to obey common regulations of health and enviroment safety and laws, regulations and rules, corresponding to this area and valid in the area of using the machine.

2.4.1.

Hygienic fundamentals

Oils, radiator, brake systems and accumulators fillings and paints including thinners are health threating materials. Workers in contact with these products during the driving or maintenance of the machine are obliged to obey common rules of the health protection and and follow the safety and hygienical manuals from the manufacturers of this products.

We emphasize on: - eyes and skin protection when working with accumulators -

skin protection when working with oils, radiatior or brake liquids, with paints

proper washing the hands after finishing the work and before the meal, treat the hands with appropriate reparational cream.

2.4.2.

Ecologic fundamentals

The fillings of individual machine systems and also some parts are after blackout the garbage risc for the enviroment.

To this category of waste products includes: - organical and synthetic lubricants, iols and fuels -

brake fluid

-

cooling liquid

-

accumulator filling and accumulators themself

-

the conditioner systems fillings

-

cleaning and conservational materials

-

all dismounted filters and filter inserts

-

all used and blackouted hydraulic and fuel pipes, rubber steels and other machine parts, contamined by materials above

With materials and parts listed we must work after blackout according to the appropriate national regulations for individual enviroment parts protection andaccording to the health protection regulations

Oils, radiator, brake systems and accumulators fillings and paints including organic thinners and also cleaning and conservational means always keep in original properly signed vessels. Don´t allow the storing of these materials in non-signed vessels and other bottles due to danger of exchange. Extremly dangerous is a possibility of exchange with meal or drinkables.

In the case of acidental stain of the skin, mucous membranes, eyes or of inhalation of the vapour, aply immediately the first aid. In such case find the emergency first aid by the doctors.

2.5. Conservation and Storage of the machines 2.5.1.

Short-time conservation and storagefor the period of 1-2 months

The cleaned machine, before breakdown to horizontal possition in a secured place (on the consolidated flat), warm by appropriate working load in such way to maintain the working temperatures (is important mainly to maintain the working engine temperature).

2.5.2.

Conservation and storage for the period longer than 2 months.

For the blackout of the machine are valid the same regulation as by the short-time conservation.

In addition we recommend: -

Next: - repair all places of damaged paint

dismount the accumulators, check their status and store them in a cold and dry room

-

rubber elements protect by paint of REGUM etc.

-

lubricate all lubricated places, rigging, pinned handlers etc.

-

chromium-plated piston-rod areas coat with conservational grease

-

check if the water fillings are discharged

-

-

check if the cooling liquid has the required anti-frost quallities

the machine conservate by spraying of TECTYL 506 and likes, and mainly on the places of possible rise the corrosion

-

check the satatus of charge the accumulators, possibly get them recharge

-

the engine suction and outlet blind with double PE foil, which properly hang by rounding with cellotape or cord

-

chromium-plated piston-rod areas coat with conservational grease

-

-

we reccomend after that protect the machine against corrosion by spraying of conservational material RUST PEL, etc.

lights, outer driving mirrors and next elements of outer electroinstallation protect by spraying of TECTYL 506 and likes

-

and wrap to PE foil

-

conserve the engine according the manufacturer´s manual - make a visible signs of engine conservation

-

(by applied spraying), and mainly on the places with danger of rise the corrosion.

On such a treat machine is not to provide some special preparations before consequently work deploying.

After six months we recommend to check the conservation status and if necessary, to regenerate it.

Before machine work deploying clean the conservatives by high-presure stream of hot water with additive of common degreasing agents, exceptionaly use the parrafin or oil obeying the ecological rules.

In the duration of storage never start the engine !

Deconservation and cleaning the machine make on the places with the reservoir for catching the waste water and deconservating agents.

In the case of machine storing in a field conditions check if the place is not exposed to the danger of float as the result of floods or if isn´t in such area denger of other kinds !!

2.6. Machine dispose after its lifecycle

Driver´s manual

By the machine dispose after its lifecycle is the user obliged to obey the national regulations and laws about wastes and enviroment protection. We recommend to use in such cases always -

specialized companies, with a professional prime activities on this field and with appropriate licence

-

manufacturers of STA or by them delegated acredited contractor service organizations.

STA is not responsible both for the damages on the owners health and the damages caused on the enviromet in the cases of infringement of upper specified hygienic and ecologic fundamentals.

The gear shifting By twisting the handle „A“ of the control (2) fig. 18 you can shift three gears. When starting the ride use the 1. gear level. When downshifting, you must appropriatelly decrease the engine revolutions and the machine´s speed using the brakes or using landing run.

The speed scope of individual gear shifts in both directions: 0-3,1 MPH 1.

Changing the driving direction - reversation By shifting the travel control from the „F“ to „R“ position (or vice versa) through the „N“ position is changed the driving direction fig. 18. The machine with gear box without the modulation must stop before the reservation and when shifted 1. gear level. When the machine has the gear box with the modulation, we can reverse the 1. gear level by slow speed.

Don’t drive the lower speed under shifted higher gear level !

When driving lower travel speed, shift lower travel gear level on time and when driving, keep the engine revolutions on higher revolutions for better machine driving.

When downshifting (3-1) you must sufficiently decrease the machine speed by releasing the acceleration pedal, by braking.

2.7. Instruments and Controls Instruments fig. 21 The manometer of the brake circuit (8) Gearbox oil Manometer (5) Shows the iol filling gearbox pressure. The pressure has to be in the dimensions of 12,5-15,5 bar (1.25 - 1.55 MPa) (181-225 PSI). When decreasing the pressure below 12,5 bar (1.25 MPa) (180 PSI) we must immediatelly stop the machine.

Shows the pressure in the brake circuit and during braking. The scale has two pointers. The white one showes the air pressure in the air tank - adjusted to max.6,5 bar (0,65 MPa) (94 PSI). The red one showes the air pressure when braking - air pressure from the braker to the booster.

The Tire Manometer (9) The Gearbox Oil Thermometer (6) Shows the temperature in the dimensions of 80-120 °C (176-248 °F). The optimal temperature ranges to 120 °C (248 °F).

Shows the actual tires pressure. Minimum air pressure after blow some air from the tires is adjusted to 2-2,5 bar (0,2-0,25 MPa) (29-36 PSI).

The motorhour counter (10) The Engine thermometer (7) Shows the engine cooling liquid temperature. The working temperature ranges from 80-100 °C (176-212 °F).

When the temperature is lower or higher, the engine gets damaged.

Shows the number of service hours, when the engine was running. After the charging indicator is off, the counter starts counts the hours independently on the engine revolutions.

The Fuel level Meter (11) Shows the amount of fuel in the tank. If the level drops under 16 litres (3,5 US gal), the minimum fuel level indicator begins to light continually. You have to refuel.

Both indicators are blinking - after switching the key (32) from „0“ to „1“ - one ore both travel controls aren´t in „N“ position - the „N“ position indicator is off (15) - we cann´t start the engine.

The indicator is on - after starting the engine and shifting the travel control to „F“ or „R“ position on the left or right driver´s post - the indicator of active working place is on and simultaneously the indicator of position „N“ (15) is getting off.

Gets on, if the air tank pressure is getting under 4,5 bar (0,45 MPa) (65 PSI) - in the same time it is signalized by sound sign.

The Indicator of air filter clogging (19) This indicator shows the increased underpressure in the engine inlet over allowed point and the necessity to clean or replacing the main filter insert.

Tires sprinkle indicator (20) When turned on, it shows that the pump is working.

The Charging Indicator (13) It shows the correct function for charging the accumulator.

Turning the key in the switch box (2) into the „1“ position, the indicator must turn on and after engine starts turn off.

When it doesn´t happen, search for a failure.

The parking brakes indicator (14) It is turned on when switching on the parking brakes switch - the machine is locked. When brake released the indicator is turned off. When locking the machine for a longer time and escape the air from the system (air tank) is not possible to run the machine, until we reach the air pressure in the system (air tank) after starting the engine on the value 5,3 bar (0,53 MPa) (77 PSI).

The neutral position travel control indicator (15) When the indicator is turned on, it shows the position of both controls in „N“ position. Only in this case we can start the engine.

The direction lights Indicator (16) When the direction lights are on, the indicator is blinking only on the active driver´s post.

The Engine Lubrication Indicator (17) The turning on the indicator when the engine is running shows the insufficient pressure in the lubrication circuit.

By switching the key (32) to the „1“ position the indicator must shine - after starting the engine it turnes off.

When the indicator is on in the case of idle motion, we must stop the engine - check the iol amount, supply cable to the contact of oil pressure, or the contactmaker itself.

When the differential lock is locked the indicator in the switch is turned on - only if the machine is equipped with the differential lock.

When switching the switch the parking brake is getting work - the machine is locked, the indicator (14) is on.

Always check the switching on of the parking brake switch before starting the machine and releasing the brakes make immediatelly before start driving.

Fuse box (31) Contains fuses of the following instruments fig. 25:

Sprinkle switch (27) Controls the pump, which deliveres the water from the tank to the tire sprinkle nozzles. Using the switch we can set up the mode of continual sprinkling or interrupted cycles sprinkling.

Empty the tank before winter season !

Push Button of the Emergency Brake (28) Serves as a emergency controller in the case of necessity the emergency stopping the machine with turning off the engine. The releasing to original emergency position is done slight turning of the button round its axis.

2.7. Instruments and Controls Switch box (32) It has three positions 0-1-2. In the „0“ position the fuse appliances 1-5 are connected i.e. machine illumination and had lamp socket. In the „1“ position are connected the other appliances. Spring mounted „2“ position is used for engine starting. The key is releasable only in the „0“ position - Fig. 26.

When the machine is without the cab, protect the switch box after releasing the key by dropping the switch box cover and by prtective cover.

Tire inflation control (33) Serves for inflation of the tires - by twisting the control to the right - Fig. 26.

Air release control (34) Serves for air releasing from the tires - by twisting the control to the right - Fig. 26.

Accumulator disconnector (35) Disconnects the minus pole of the accumulator from the ground - Fig. 26.

After finishing the driving always disconnect the accumulator using the disconnector !

Windscreen Washer switch (37) Serves for turning on the windows washer pump.

By positioning the controller we can regulate the amount and the ration of the air suctioned from the outer space or from inside of the cab.

2.7. Instruments and Controls Drainage valve of the air tank (46) Serves for the control of dryer work, and for drainage of the condesed air from the air tank. It operates after pulling the chain fig. 30. On the floor next to the seat.

Setting the resistence of seat springs - by twisting the lever (1) is set up the resistence according the driver´s weight (2) in the ranges from 50 - 130 kg (110 - 266 lbm) by 10 kg (22 lbm) steps fig. 32.

Driver´s seat (47) Adjustable, spring-mounted, with two-point safety belt.

Lengthwise shift of the seat - after rising the lever we can shift the seat on the length to front and back fig. 33.

Adjusting elements of the seat : Setting the lean of the backrest - by rising the lever is the backrest fluently folded as needed fig. 31.

Setting the height of seat - after catching the jack we can on gradual rising set up the seat height to the next level, where it is locked (click sound). After rising to the maximum level the seat falls to the lowest position fig. 33.

The lenght of the seat belt can be adjusted on the adjustable fastener.

The time necessary for the change depends on the enviroment, where the machine is deployed.

Sun shade (52) Adjustable shade avoiding the dazzle. The set up of the shade is done by hanging on the hook fig. 40.

Air conditioner outlets (50) When tiping the outlets is changed the amount of the air, by twisting of its direction fig. 39.

The driving mirrors (51) They allow the view to hardly visible spaces.

2.8. Use and Controlling of the machine 2.8.1.

Controlling the basic machine function

2.8.1.1. Starting the engine Daily, before the engine is started, the engine oil level in the hydraulic tank and the gearbox oil level has to be inspected, as well as the fuel level in the tank, the brake liquid amount. Inspect also if rhere are no loose, worn or missing parts at the machine.

Starting : • Refuel the the machine using the hand pump situated on the engine (after longer period of breakdown).

• Turn off the battery disconnector switch (35) fig. 43.

• Check, if the both travel controls (2) are in the „N“ position - both must be in the „N“ position - otherwise we cann´t start fig. 44.

• Check, if the parking brake is engaged - the switch is on (26), fig. 45.

• Plug the key into the switch box (32) and turn to „1“

• Don´t start for longer than 30 seconds. If the engine

doesn´t run, wait for about 2 minutes and try it again.

• If the engine dosn´t start after three attemps - check the fuel system. During the machine starts look for the exhaust gas color - the absence of blue or white smog indicates nonsufficient delivery of the fuel.

2.8.1.2. Travelling and Reversing

wheel - the indicators (13), (17) must get off, indicator (17) must get off to 15 seconds.

• After starting, let the engine run at increased idle 1500

• Warn using the horn after running the machine and wait for a sufficient time amount, so the possible personnel can leave the dangerous space (space under the machine) !

min-1 speed with no load for a 3-5 minutes according the outer temperature, until the brake system pressure raises to 5,3 bar (0,53 MPa) (77 PSI).

• Qiuck acceleration and deceleration is prohibited, it could cause the engine damage.

• Let the engine run for a free wheel only to 10 minutes

• Check if the space in the front and in the back of the machine free of persons !

- longer free wheel will cause the injectors impaction, piston ring break and the valves jam !

• If the liquid tempereture doesn´t reach the minimum

• In the case of limited visibility turn the lights on !

60 °C (140 °F), then the engine is not properly lubricated - don´t load the engine on a full output!

• If required turn on next appliances (fan, wipers, heating etc.) !

• Check, if there is no one threated by the engine starting.

• Warn the others by means of the safety horn.

• Start the engine only from the driver’s post !

• Before starting, the parking brake switch must be on – the indicator is on.

• The travel controller in the ”N” position – both active post indicators are off.

• Starting the engine by towing the machine is prohibited !

• When starting the engine with auxiliary power supply, connect the connectors plus (+) to plus (+) and minus (-) to minus (-).

• Always connect the ”minus” as a last one and disconnect as a first one.

Active post indicators function description After setting up the engine are both active post indicators (12) off fig. 45.

After shifting of one of travel controls from „N“ to „F“ or „R“ fig. 47 is the appopriate active post indicator getting on the side where the travel control was shifted out of the „N“ position.

All orders for changing the direction, gear shifting, turning the direction lights on on the non-active driver´s post (on the second side) are off !

The active post indicator is getting off in the moment of the key twisting (32) to the „0“ position - the engine stops.

Running of the machine When idle run choose the gear shift level by twisting the gear lever (A) to 1. fig. 47.

• When starting the engine with auxiliary power supply is not allowed to disconnect that supply sooner than the machine accumulators are connected.

Watch out the starting voltage of the auxiliary power supply.

• When the engine is on, don’t disconnect the accumulator battery.

• Is inadmissible to inspect if the wire is live (under the voltage) by touching the machine ground (frame).

• Don’t let the engine run under increased revolutions 1500 min -1 (RPM) for longer than 5 minutes !

• Don’t load the engine to a full load before reaching the temperature of min.

60 °C (140 °F).

2.8. Use and Controlling of the machine Choosing the driving direction The travel control fuse must be in the „D“ position fig. 48.

Using the travel control (2) choose the driving direction to the front „F“ or back „R“ fig. 49, the active driving indicator (12) is getting on, the indicator (15) is getting off fig. 50.

Release the brakes by switching off the switch (26) fig. 50 - the indicator (14) is getting off fig. 50.

Increase the engine revolutions using the fuel pedal (3) fig. 51 - the machine is getting run in the chosen direction.

Changing the driving direction When changing the driving direction there is no need to stop the machine. Using the acceleration (3) pedal decrease the engine revolutions to the idle run, conceivable use the brake pedal for decreasing the speed (4). When the speed is about 3 km/hour (1,9 MPH), is possible to shift the travel control (2) through „N“ for opposite driving direction. There is a possibility to reverse at the 1. or 2. gear shift due to machine loading and the terrain lean - never reverse at the 3. gear shift.

Gear shifting The gear shifting of 1-3 gear shift during the machine driving - during the machine is working or driving - is done using the controller (A) under the loading (Power shift) fig. 47.

2.8.1.4. Stopping the machine and the engine

When there is a need for changing the active post (the active working place) • On the active post shift the controller (2) to the ”N” position fig. 49 - the indicator (15) is getting on (fig. 50).

• Lower the engine speed to idle by the accelerator

• Stop the machine using the brake pedal (4) fig. 51.

Lock the machine by the parking brake – switch no. 26, the indicator (14) is on, fig. 50.

• Change the active post.

• Switch off the parking brake switch (26) – the indicator (14) is getting off fig. 50.

• Shift the travel controller from the ”N” to the ”F” or ”R” position fig. 49 -the active post indicator (12) is getting on. The indicator (15) is getting off fig. 50 – the active post is activated.

• Turn all appliances off (fan, wipers etc.)

• Stop the engine by turning the key to the „0“ position, take it out of the switch box (32) fig. 52 - caution ! - don´t stop the engine immediately after the full load, but let it run for 3-5 minutes on idle run 800 RPM. The engine and the turbo-blower will slowly and steadily cool down.

• Protect the switch box after taking the key by closing • If the oil temperature is increasing to 120 °C (248 °F), interrupt the work, stop the driving and on the same place using the increased engine revolutions to 1500 RPM cool the gearbox oil to the optimum 80-100 °C (176-212 °F).

• If there is frequntly heating of the oil to 120 °C (248 °F) change the driving style - shift the gears often, clean the oil cooler !

!! DANGER !

• Don’t turn the engine off immediately, but let it run on a idle run for 3-5 minutes under revolutions of 800 RPM.

• Before driving down the hill with big lean shift the 1.gear level !

• Always break the machine by depressing the switch of the parking brake at the instrument board. Engaged parking brake is signaed by the indicator - the switch box key in the „1“ position.

• Don´t use the 3. gear shift for starting the driving !

• After that turn the key in the box to the „0“ position.

• Don´t reverse to the 3. gear shift !

• Don´t change the active post from the left to the right side when driving !

2.8. Use and Controlling of the machine 2.8.1.5. Parking, breakdown of the machine • Breakdown the machine only on a such a area where is no danger of natural disasters (landslip, possible floods etc.)

• After the engine stops, before leaving the machine disconnect the battery disconnector (35) and take out the lever, plug the cover on fig. 53.

2.8.1.7. Driving the machine on embarrassed conditions When driving through difficult terrain, by decreased adhesion when the the tires slipping, use the differential lock (25) fig. 55. The activated diferential lock is signalized by the indicator in the switch.

• Clean the machine off dirt

Use the lock only endangered by falling the machine to the dirt or when towed away !

• Do the complete machine check and repair some faults, done during the running.

2.8.1.6 Emergency stopping of the machine Use in the case of malfunction, when the stopping the machine using the service brake or switching the parking brake switch on is not possible.

Press one of the switches (28) fig. 54 - the machine will stip and the engine gets off.

Lock the machine using parking brake.

Release the brake by twisting the button (28) in the direction given by the arrow fig. 54.

Before engine starts must be both travel controlls in the „N“ position.

Controlling the tires sprinkling

The sprinkling pump is directed using the sprinkle switch with cycler (27). By turning the switch to the left (see fig.

56) the pump is constantly working - the tires are constantly sprinkled. By turning the switch to one of the four positions is constantly switched on the sprinkle cycle interval.

Position I sprinkling 10 s delay 10 s Position II sprinkling 10 s delay 15 s Position III sprinkling 10 s delay 22 s Position IV sprinkling 10 s delay 33 s The sprinkling indicator (20) is on only when the pump is working.

Tires pressure regulation

There are two valves controlled by the controllers (33), (34) serving for the regulation of the tires pressure fig. 57.

The tires pressure value is showen on the manometer (9) fig. 58.

MOUNTING: 1. Mount the hanging circles with with the worm M16 to the upper part of the frame.

2. In the back machine cover in front of the fuel tank dismount the right and left cover (1) closing the ROPS frame mounting, dismount the covering plates (2) in back of the seats fig. 59, 60.

3. Slide the fastening bolts to the frame gaps so the bolts worms are not visible on the front sides of the gaps.

4. By means of the crane of minimal payload 450 kg (992 lb) place the ROPS frame into these holes.

5. Mount the fastening bolts (1) to the frame, secure with bolts. 700 Nm (516 ftlb) fig. 61.

6. Mount back the covering plates in the back of the seats.

7. Dismount the hanging circles, inset the bolts into the holes.

DEMOUNTING: 1. Dismount the covering plates in the back of the seats.

2. Mount the hanging circles, by means of the crane of minimal payload 450 kg (992 lb) hang the ROPS frame.

3. Unscrew the nuts, which fasten the ROPS frame to the machine frame, on both left and right side.

4. Push in the bolts so the bolts worms are out of the machine frame holes.

5. Lift the frame using the crane.

6. Mount back the covering plates in the back of the seats.

7. The holes in the back side of the machine made by dismounting the ROPS frame cover up by the covers (distributed with the machine).

SAFETY REGULATIONS !

• Use only designated (standartized) hanging circles.

• Hang the frame using all the circles.

• Use the lifting devices and bonding instruments with sufficient payload.

• Don´t walk under hanged material.

Moving on the working place

Around the jobsite out of the public roads the machine is to move on its own. Obez the safety regulations of the respective jobsite when transporting the machine.

The machine can be transported on the public roads using the transporting device corresponding with the emergency weight of the roller fig. 62.

Moving on the public roads

2.9.2.1. Moving the machine on its own

(WATCH OUT FOR THE LOADING WEIGHT !!)

The machine can be driwen on the public roads with obeying the valid rules and in the scope of the additional regulations. In the other countries according the respective valid local regulations.

The drive is obliged to drive the machine on the left driver´s post - in the counties with rightsided traffic. In the countries with leftsided traffic drives the driver on the right driver´s post.

The tires must be pupmed up on 6 bar (0,6 MPa) (87 PSI).

The driver must be skilled of the scope of mentioned valid regulations.

Trained due to ISO 7130 with the licence for driving machine of such kind.

The maximum driving speed must not exceed the 20 km/h (12 MPH), do always after 2 hours of the driving 30 minutes break for cooling the tires.

2.9. Transport of the machine 2.9.3.

Railway transport

SAFETY REGULATIONS !

The transporting machine must be during the loading and unloading locked and mechanically secured against nondesirable move using the scotchs.

The machine can be transported on the railway platform wagon. The height of the wagon with the roler must not exceed the clearance profile valid for the national and international transportation. In the case of overrun the dimesion of the clearance profile (international dimension) there is a need to dismount the cab and the protective frame and aslo the outlet. Obey the regulations of the railway transportation rules during the transport.

When running on transporting mean the driver must have fastened the security belt.

If the machine is equipped with the differential lock - before run on the transporting machine platform lock the differential !

When running on the transporting device and running out are all the personnel obliged to get out of it except the machine tenders, to prevent the accidents if the machine falls down.

The worker vectoring the machine on the transporting device must stand still on one place out of the machine and out of the transporting device a be in sight of the tender (in a visual contact) during the whole period of the running on and out.

The worker vectoring the machine must comunicate with the tender using the specified communicating.

The machine must be on the platform preperly hanged and mechanically secured against shifting to all directions and also against turn over. The tires must be blocked using the scotchs fig. 62.

Before undergoing the underpass, bridges, tunnels, elevated traces check their height.

When transporting the machine (on the platform) there can be any person nor on the platform, neither on the machine.

Loading of the machine

The best solution is from the run-on ramp. If it is not aviable, use the crane fig. 64. Hook the ropes at the hanging circles (pins) at the sides of the machine frame.

In the case the whole transportation height (transporting device height from the ground to the platform level + the whole machine height) is bigger then allowed, dismount the cab and the protective frame due to 2.8.5. Caution disconnect the electric instalation between the cab and the machine fig. 65.

For binding use only the designated hooking circles (pins).

Use only the crane and the binding means of sufficient payload.

The binding must be done only by licenced binder.

Do not enter under the suspended items.

2.9. Transport of the machine 2.9.5.

Towing the machine

The machine can be towed when disconnected axle power and after releasing the brakes : Disconnecting the power: Dismount the floor deck between the seats.

Disconnect the juncture shaft on the flange of the distribution input fig. 66.

Machine is equipped with front retrieval device with pin fig. 68. On rear part of the frame on both sides down there are roping eyes that could be also used as retrieval devices fig. 69.

Tow the machine at the speed exceeding 10 km/h (6 Mph) is prohibited.

Releasing the brakes Under lower air pressure in the air tank - engine doesn´t work - you must release the brakes by mechanical means using the releasing screw (1) in the machine equipment.

Dismount the plug (2) and screw into the device (1) to the spring cylinder (3) fig. 67.

Disconnect the axle power when towing the machine !

Release the brakes by lack of pressure in the brake circuit !

Obey the towing speed limit max. 10 km/h (6 MPH)!

2.10.1. Work at Higher altitude

2.10.3. Work in the dust enviroment

At higher altitudes the engine power drops because of lower air pressure and thus lower specific weight of the sucked air.

When working in the very dust enviroment reduce the cleaning intervals and intervals of changing the suction filter inserts, reduce also the interval of cleaning the engine radiator, and changing the dust filter of the cab.

2.10.2. Work at higher Ambient Temperature and Humidity The engine power drops with higher ambient temperature and humidity. As these factors are not mutually dependent, their effects on the engine power can be approximately described as follows: - every 10 °C of increased temperature causes the power drop up to 4 % (at constatn humidity).

2.10.4. Compaction near to constructions or underground ingeneers nets and cables If there isd a need to compact near the constructions or engineers nets and cables, we have to judge the vibrations influence affected by the machine work to the constructions or ingeneers nets and cables, to avoid the threat to the constructions or ingeneers nets and cables.

The manufacturer is not responsible for the damages done by using the machine near to the constructions or underground ingeneers nets and cables !

every 10 % of increased relative humidity causes the power drop up to 2 % (at constatn temperature).

If the engine at the altitude of 1500 m smokes black smoke, contact the engine manufacturer´s service (The Maintenance and Service manual) and it will provide the adjusting of the injection pump due to these conditions.

The engine power is affected by the enviroment it is working.

All three incerasing quantities casing drop of the power !
