Description of the equipment

Application

The Tandem Vibration Roller VH 1700 is a machine with a hinged frame and two smooth steel drums.

Both drums are driven hydro-statically and vibrating. The operator’s position is equipped with a rotating and adjustable seat with a good view of the surrounding area in both direction of travel. The machine may be equipped also with a heater and air-conditioning. Seat belts and ROPS guard frame are also provided. Each drum has its own sprinkling pressurized system with two-stage filtration.

The vibration roller VH 1700 has been designed for compacting work on a grand scale on road constructions (freeways, highways, and airports), and other work on large industrial areas. The roller is ideally used in compacting of asphalt compounds to a depth of (after compacting) mm (in) 200 (7,9) hydraulically compacted compounds up to layer depth of .................... mm (in) 300(11,8) soil mixtures up to a depth of .......................... mm (in) 400 (15,7) sandy and gravel soils up to a depth of .......................... mm (in) 500 (19,7) The roller is not suited for compacting of rock-fill and clay soils.

The equipment of this series have been constructed to comply with ČSN IEC 721-2-1 (038900) standards: WT, WDr, MWDr (i.e., mild climate, warm climate, dry or hot climate, dry climate with ambient temperatures limited to a range between –15 °C (5 °F) to +45 °C (113 °F).

1.3. Technical data 1.3.16. Requirements for compliance with traffic regulations The roller is not intended to travel on roads, on its own. Its design and accessories do not comply with Notice 102/1995 Coll. for moving on roads in the Czech Republic.
