SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARD EQUIPMENT WARRANTY (Effective for Equipment sold after 01 September 2013) 1 SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION (as defined in the General Conditions of Sale) warrants new Drill Rigs, LHDs, Dump Trucks, Breaking, Crushing and Screening, Mechanical Cutting, Projects & Systems, Fire Suppression and Automation Systems (PRODUCTS) supplied by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION to be free from defects in material and workmanship.

2 The warranty periods for the equipment is the following: i)

Breaking, Crushing and Screening a. Breakers six (6) months from the date of purchase based on a single shift use of ten (10) hours per shift, plus another six (6) months after completion of the six (6) monthly service inspection. b. Crushing & Screening (both mobile and fixed plant) twelve (12) months or 2000 hours from date of commissioning acceptance by Purchaser.

ii)

Drill Rigs a. Top hammer drill rigs twelve (12) months, except hydraulic rock drills twelve (12) months or one thousand (1000) percussion hours, whichever comes first. b. Down the hole drill rigs twelve (12) months or two thousand (2000) engine hours whichever comes first, except down the hole hammer three (3) months. c. Underground in the hole drill rigs (12) months or two thousand (2000) hydraulic power pack hours whichever comes first, except onboard reciprocating boosters one thousand (1000) operating hours d. Rotary and waterwell drill rigs twelve (12) months or two thousand (2000) engine hours whichever comes first, except the following components carry additional warranty: Air End – 24 months unlimited hours; Rotary Head - 12 months unlimited hours; Piston Pumps and Motors – 12 months unlimited hours; Feed and Jack Cylinders – 12 months unlimited hours. e. Exploration drill rigs twelve (12) months or two thousand (2000) engine hours whichever comes first.

iii)

Underground Boosters and Compressors a. Reciprocating boosters twelve (12) months or one thousand (1000) operating hours, whichever comes first b. Screw boosters and compressors twelve (12) months or two thousand (2000) operating hours, whichever comes first

iv)

Load & Haul a. LHDs and Trucks (12) months or two thousand (2000) engine hours (operating hours for electric equipment), whichever comes first. b. Shuttle Cars and Utility Vehicles twelve (12) months or two thousand (2000) engine hours, whichever comes first. c. Quick Detach System Appliances six (6) months.

v)

Mechanical Cutting a. Twelve (12) months from date of commissioning acceptance by Purchaser.

vi)

Projects & Systems a. Material handling twelve (12) months from date of commissioning acceptance by Purchaser. b. Onboard automation within the machine (LHD, truck, drilling rig, etc.) follows the warranty terms of the basic machine: twelve (12) months or two thousand (2000) operating hours, whichever comes first. c. Automation system excluding onboard automation: twelve (12) months after commissioning is Page 1 of 8

vii)

completed (Site Acceptance Test completed and signed-off) or eighteen (18) months after shipment of components, whichever comes first.

Plants twelve (12) months from date of commissioning acceptance by Purchaser.

Fire Suppression a. Twelve (12) months from date of commissioning acceptance by Purchaser.

3 All the above mentioned periods are calculated from the date of start-up inspection at the first end user.

Under no circumstances will the warranty period exceed eighteen (18) months from the delivery to Purchaser. Any liability whatsoever to any party, other than the first end user is expressly disclaimed. The Purchaser agrees and acknowledges that all warranties shall immediately terminate in the event that the Purchaser expressly or impliedly purports to transfer or assign or otherwise any of its rights under this warranty to a third party. Any attempt by the Purchaser to transfer or assign the warranties provided by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION to any third party shall be void, unless Sandvik has provided its prior written consent to the Purchaser.

4 The unit start-up inspection form/ warranty registration card shall be filled in, signed by the end user and sent to SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative within fourteen (14) days from start-up inspection. The warranty period starts from the date the end user signs the start-up inspection form.

5 The engine warranty registration shall be completed with local engine representative. All engine warranties shall be handled with local OEM engine representative.

6 The completed warranty registration form must be received by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative before any claims for warranty will be processed.

7 This warranty does not cover: i)

natural wear and tear of the equipment, normal maintenance service such as but not limited to, engine tune-ups, adjustments and inspections or normal replacement items (such as service filters), and damage resulting there from;

ii)

consumables such as but not limited to, seals, filters, hoses, v-belts, tyres, fittings, screws, bolts, washers, rock drill connecting pieces, chucks, diaphragms, pick holders, conveyor chain, spray nozzles, idlers, trailing cable, rubber skirting, pick bushes, teeth and knives, mantles and concaves, manganese wear parts etc;

iii)

parts which can be repaired or corrected with minimum action such as but not limited to, changing of seals, tightening or adjustment;

iv)

damage caused by breakage of the shank adaptor (excluding material or workmanship failure in genuine SANDVIK shank adaptor);

v)

damage caused by the Purchaser’s failure to store, maintain or operate the equipment properly, or due to overloading or failure to pay proper attention to service and operating instructions or caused by accident or caused by working beyond rated capacities or exceeding or not meeting recommended power inputs;

vi)

damage caused by negligence or failure of PURCHASER to maintain the equipment in accordance with SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION’s maintenance recommendations, documented service history is required;

vii)

damage which is caused by but not limited to, operating conditions such as deep and/or aggressive water, poor roadways, dust, poor ventilation, where components, which are designed and manufactured according to industrial standards, fail prematurely;

viii)

any defect or damage in materials or design provided by the PURCHASER, which are a consequence of the PURCHASER’S action or stipulation affecting quality or structure; Page 2 of 8

any parts or components manufactured or supplied by third parties or damage caused by such parts or components to the PRODUCTS;

x)

any costs such as labour, accommodation, meals travel and similar costs or any transportation;

xi)

any direct or indirect consequential damage including but not limited to loss of revenue or profit, loss of production or loss of use of any equipment;

xii)

Product improvements/ updates made available by Sandvik, unless otherwise specified.

8 This Equipment warranty contains the entire warranty terms and conditions between Sandvik Mining and Construction and the Purchaser. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this warranty or otherwise, the Purchaser expressly waives all claims against Sandvik Mining and Construction (and against it’s parent company, affiliates, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, employees, agents and vendors) for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, exemplary or punitive damages, including, but not limited to, loss of actual or anticipated profits, revenues or product; loss by reason of shutdown or non-operation; increased expense of manufacturing, operation, borrowing or financing; loss of use, productivity or shop space; or increased cost of capital, and regardless of whether any such claim arises out of breach of contract or warranty, tort (including negligence), product liability, indemnity, contribution, strict liability or any other legal theory. All limitations in this warranty on Sandvik Mining and Construction’s liability shall apply notwithstanding the fact that Sandvik Mining and Construction’s warranties fail of their essential purpose or are held to be invalid or unenforceable.

9 Under no circumstances and in no conditions, shall SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION's liability whether in respect of one claim or in the aggregate, arising out of any contract, exceed the purchase price payable under the contract for such part in which the liability shall arise.

10 On receipt of notification of a warranted defect, SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION shall remedy the defect at its own discretion in accordance with these terms of warranty.

11 Warranty claims less than fifty Euros (EUR 50) or the equivalent in another currency are not considered by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION. 12 No claim will be considered, and this warranty will be considered null and void, if other than GENUINE SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION SPARE PARTS are used in the equipment or if GENUINE SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION SPARE PARTS are dismounted and used in another product than the PRODUCT originally supplied to the PURCHASER by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION. 13 All Warranty claims need to have a proof of purchase which may include but not limited to: i) Copy of invoice or order number; or ii) Job Charge out report.

14 Warranty claims must be sent in writing using a "SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION Warranty Claim" form. Warranty claims concerning the failure in rock drills should also include the "Drifter Failure Report" form. Claims should include digital photographs of the failure where appropriate. The forms shall be completely filled in and delivered to SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative within fourteen (14) days from the time when the PURCHASER discovers or should have discovered the alleged defect. Claims lodged after this period will be declined. Only one failure should be reported for each claim.

The warranty claim form should be sent to your local SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative.

15 The obligation of SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION under this warranty is limited, at PURCHASER’s option, to: i) ii)

refund the part at its stock replenishment order price; or replace the part, free of charge, DDP (delivered, duty paid, Incoterms 2000) at the place of business of the SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative.

16 The warranty of a replaced or repaired part expires at the same time as the original warranty of the supplied equipment.

17 The PURCHASER shall retain the claimed part for 90 days from claim settlement, for SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION's inspection and on request the alleged defective part shall be sent as directed by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION and at SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION'S cost to a destination designated by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION. No part may be returned to SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION without SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION'S prior written consent.

After warranty handling, the title to the defective parts shall be transferred to SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION. 18 Return parts to your local SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative.

19 APPEAL PERIOD FOR EACH SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION’S DECISION IN WARRANTY CLAIM IS FOURTEEN (14) DAYS AS OF THE DATE OF DECISION AFTER WHICH THE SAID DECISION IS FINAL. 20 This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties or conditions express, implied or statutory, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. No other warranties express or implied are given unless they are expressly given by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION in writing.

21 This warranty shall not be suspended on the grounds of non-use, intermittent use or for any other reason.

SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARD SPARE PARTS WARRANTY (Effective for Spare Parts sold after 01 February 2010) 1 SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION (as defined in the General Conditions of Sale) warrants new spare parts supplied by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION to be free from defects in material and workmanship in accordance with industry standards current at the time of sale when the parts are used as a part of SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS. 2 The warranty periods are as follows:

i)

hydraulic rock drills mounted on used drill rig six (6) months or five hundred (500) percussion hours, whichever comes first;

ii)

for other spare parts the warranty period is three (3) months from date of fitment, with a maximum of six (6) months from date of delivery;

iii)

all major components mounted to used equipment six (6) months or five hundred (500) operating hours, whichever comes first.

3 All the above mentioned periods are calculated from the date of delivery to the end user. Any liability whatsoever to any party other than the first end user is expressly disclaimed.

4 The engine warranty registration shall be completed with local engine representative. All engine warranties shall be handled with local engine representative.

natural wear and tear of the spare part and damage resulting there from;

ii)

consumables such as seals, filters, hoses, v-belts, tyres, fittings, screws, bolts, washers and rock drill connecting pieces, chucks, diaphragms, pick holders, conveyor chain, spray nozzles, idlers, trailing cable, rubber skirting, pick bushes, teeth & knives, mantles & concaves, manganese wear parts, G.E.T., etc;

iii)

parts which can be repaired or corrected with minimum action such as changing of seals, tightening or adjustment;

iv)

damage caused by breakage of the shank adaptor (excluding material or workmanship failure in genuine SANDVIK shank adaptor);

v)

damage caused by the Purchaser’s failure to store, maintain or operate the spare part properly, or due to overloading or failure to pay proper attention to service and operating instructions or caused by accident or caused by working beyond rated capacities or exceeding recommended power inputs or not meeting required power inputs;

vi)

damage caused by negligence or failure of PURCHASER to maintain the equipment in accordance with SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION’s maintenance recommendations, documented service history is required;

vii)

damages, which are caused by operating conditions such as deep and/or aggressive water, dust, poor ventilation, where components, which are designed and manufactured according to industrial standards fail prematurely;

viii)

any defect or damage in materials or design provided by the PURCHASER, which are a consequence of PURCHASER’S action or stipulation affecting quality or structure;

ix)

any parts or components manufactured or supplied by third parties or damage caused by such parts or components to the PRODUCTS;

x)

any costs such as labour, accommodation, meals, travel and similar costs or any transportation;

xi)

any indirect or consequential damage including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of production or loss of use of equipment;

xii)

Product improvements/ updates made available by Sandvik.

6 Warranty claims less than fifty Euros (EUR 50) or the equivalent in another currency are not considered by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION. 7 All Warranty claims need to have a proof of purchase which may include but not limited to: i) Copy of invoice or order number; or ii) Job Charge out report.

8 This Parts warranty contains the entire warranty terms and conditions between Sandvik Mining and Construction and the Purchaser. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this warranty or by way or otherwise, the Purchaser expressly waives all claims against Sandvik Mining and Construction (and against it’s parent company, affiliates, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, employees, agents and vendors) for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, exemplary or punitive damages, including, but not limited to, loss of actual or anticipated profits, revenues or product; loss by reason of shutdown or nonoperation; increased expense of manufacturing, operation, borrowing or financing; loss of use, productivity or shop space; or increased cost of capital, and regardless of whether any such claim arises out of breach of contract or warranty, tort (including negligence), product liability, indemnity, contribution, strict liability or any other legal theory. All limitations in this warranty on Sandvik Mining and Construction’s liability, shall apply notwithstanding the fact that Sandvik Mining and Construction’s warranties fail of their essential Page 5 of 8

9 In order to be able to avail himself of the rights under this Warranty, the PURCHASER shall notify SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION in writing without delay of any defects that have appeared and shall give SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION every opportunity of inspecting and remedying them.

10 On receipt of notification of a warranted defect, SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION shall remedy the defect at its own discretion in accordance with these terms of warranty.

11 The purchase Order Number and or Sandvik Invoice Number must be received by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative before any claims for warranty will be processed.

12 Under no circumstances and in no conditions, shall SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION's liability for any singular or aggregate claim arising under any contract or otherwise exceed the contract purchase price of the part from which the liability arises.

13 No claim will be considered, and this warranty will be considered null and void, if other than GENUINE SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION SPARE PARTS and all consumables as originally installed by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION are used in the PRODUCT. 14 Warranty claims must be sent in writing using a "SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION Warranty Claim" form. Warranty claims concerning the failure in rock drills should also include the “Drifter Failure Report” form. The forms shall be completely filled in and be delivered to SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION within fourteen (14) days from the time when the PURCHASER discovers or should have discovered the alleged defect. The date of the Spare Part delivery to the end user must be proved in writing. Only one failure should be reported for each claim. The warranty claim form should be sent to your local SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative.

15 The obligation of SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION under this warranty is limited, at PURCHASER’s option, to: i) refund the part at its stock replenishment order price; or ii) replace the part, free of charge, DDP (delivered, duty paid, Incoterms 2000) at the place of business of the SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative.

16 The PURCHASER shall retain and appropriately store the claimed part to allow accurate assessment by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION until the claim is settled. On request the alleged defective part shall be sent as directed by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION and at SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION'S cost, to a destination designated by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION. No part may be returned to SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION without SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION's prior written consent. SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARD FOR CONSUMABLES (Effective for Consumables sold after 01 February 2010) 1 SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION (as defined in the General Conditions of Sale) warrants that Sandvik Consumables delivered are free of defects, faults in workmanship, manufacture and material, free of any liens or encumbrances and will be of the standard quality and not that such Goods will accomplish any particular result.

2 The warranty periods are as follows: i)

Sandvik Drilling Consumables three (3) months from date of delivery;

ii)

Manganese wear parts, MGT, G.E.T. three (3) months.

3 Any repair or replacement to SANDVIK Consumables provided by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION will be subject to the same warranty, from the date of repair or replacement.

4 All the above mentioned periods are calculated from the date of delivery to the end user. Any liability whatsoever to any party other than the first end user is expressly disclaimed.

5 This warranty does not cover: i) natural wear and tear of the spare part and damage resulting there from; ii) damage caused by breakage of the shank adaptor; iii) damage caused by the Purchaser’s failure to store, maintain or due to overloading or failure to pay proper attention to operating instructions or caused by accident or caused by working beyond rated capacities or exceeding recommended power inputs or not meeting required power inputs; iv) any defect or damage in materials or design provided by the PURCHASER, which are a consequence of PURCHASER’S action or stipulation affecting quality or structure; v) any costs such as labour, accommodation, meals, travel and similar costs or any transportation; vi) any indirect or consequential damage including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of production or loss of use of equipment.

6 This Consumables warranty contains the entire warranty terms and conditions between Sandvik Mining and Construction and the Purchaser. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this warranty or by way or otherwise, the Purchaser expressly waives all claims against Sandvik Mining and Construction (and against it’s parent company, affiliates, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, employees, agents and vendors) for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, exemplary or punitive damages, including, but not limited to, loss of actual or anticipated profits, revenues or product; loss by reason of shutdown or nonoperation; increased expense of manufacturing, operation, borrowing or financing; loss of use, productivity or shop space; or increased cost of capital, and regardless of whether any such claim arises out of breach of contract or warranty, tort (including negligence), product liability, indemnity, contribution, strict liability or any other legal theory. 7 In order to be able to avail himself of the rights under this Warranty, the PURCHASER shall notify SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION in writing without delay of any defects that have appeared and shall give SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION every opportunity of inspecting and remedying them.

8 On receipt of notification of a warranted defect, SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION shall remedy the defect at its own discretion in accordance with these terms of warranty.

9 The purchase Order Number and or Sandvik Invoice Number must be received by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative before any claims for warranty will be processed.

10 Under no circumstances and in no conditions, shall SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION's liability for any singular or aggregate claim arising under any contract or otherwise exceed the contract purchase price of the part from which the liability arises.

11 No claim will be considered, and this warranty will be considered null and void, if other than GENUINE SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION CONSUMABLES are used with the equipment.

12 Warranty claims must be sent in writing using a "SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION Warranty Claim" form. The forms shall be completely filled in and be delivered to SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION within fourteen (14) days from the time when the PURCHASER discovers or should have discovered the alleged defect. The date of the Spare Part delivery to the end user must be proved in writing.

Only one failure should be reported for each claim. The warranty claim form should be sent to your local SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative.

13 The obligation of SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION under this warranty is limited, at the PURCHASER’s option, to: i) refund the consumable at its stock replenishment order price; or ii) replace the consumable, free of charge, DDP (delivered, duty paid, Incoterms 2000) at the place of business of the SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION representative.

14 The PURCHASER shall retain and appropriately store the claimed part to allow accurate assessment by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION until the claim is settled. On request the alleged defective part shall be sent as directed by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION and at SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION'S cost, to a destination designated by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION. No part may be returned to SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION without SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION's prior written consent. After warranty handling, the title to the defective part will be transferred to SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION. 15 APPEAL PERIOD FOR EACH SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION’S DECISION IN WARRANTY CLAIM IS FOURTEEN (14) DAYS AS OF THE DATE OF DECISION AFTER WHICH THE SAID DECISION IS FINAL. 16 This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties or conditions express, implied or statutory, including, but not limited to warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. No other warranties express or implied are given unless they are expressly given by SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION in writing.

17 This warranty shall not be suspended on the grounds of non-use, intermittent use or for any other reason.

SAFETY PROCEDURES

The following procedures must be followed to safeguard personnel and equipment.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH SAFETY PROCEDURES MAY CAUSE SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURY.

1.1.

Pre-Operation Safety Procedures Before turning on the air supply to the system, make certain that all valves and controls are in the OFF position.

Before turning on the main air supply, check the safety chain or cable to ensure proper attachments to hoses and anchors.

WARNING! If the safety chain/cable is not properly secured, the mine air supply line could uncouple and whip, endangering personnel.

1.2.

Operation Precautions Always wear a hard hat, work gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes. Do not wear loose clothing that can become entangled in the flywheel or belt.

Keep hands away from the flywheel and belt.

1.3.

Maintenance and Repair Safety Observe cleanliness and safety during disassembly, repair, and reassembly. Keep solvents, oils, and any flammable liquids in covered, safe containers. Discard clothing saturated with flammable liquids. Avoid smoking or open flames in combustible areas.

Before disassembling any component, ensure that the machine is positioned for maximum safety.

Disconnect the air supply to the system and bleed all air pressure before attempting to repair, replace, or remove any air system component.

INTRODUCCIÓN

1.1.

Descripción del Booster

El KR551 consiste en un compresor de pistones de una etapa y 3 cilindros, propulsado eléctricamente, que está montado en una plataforma para trabajo pesado, y que posee un sistema de lubricación a presión. El motor eléctrico, de uso exclusivo del compresor está ubicado en una base de deslizamiento.

CAPACIDAD: El KR551 entrega 700 scfm (354 l/s) de aire a 350 psi (24 bar) presión de descarga con la presión de aire de la red en la entrada de 90 psi (6 bar).

1.2.

Objetivos de Manual

Este manual contiene la descripción y operación de Sandvik, modelo KR551, y se puede usar como ayuda en el Curso de Entrenamiento de Operadores de Equipos Sandvik.

El objetivo de este manual es ayudar al operador a familiarizarse con lo siguiente: 

KR551 Booster- Disposición Interior

El compresor del booster KR551 es de pistones, de una etapa, 3 cilindros, y con sistema de lubricación. El compresor es propulsado por un motor eléctrico ubicado en una base de deslizamiento.

2.2.

Sistema Entrega Aire

Ver ig Fig 2.2.1 La línea de admisión de 3” de diámetro consiste en filtración combinada con separación de agua y drenaje, válvula de 3 vías que tiene un actuador operado por un cilindro neumático, filtro de aire de la atmósfera, múltiple de admisión, y línea de derivación al compresor del booster.

La línea de descarga de aire va desde el compresor a la válvula de descarga y consiste en un múltiple de descarga, un sensor de temperatura, que se apaga cuando hay alta temperatura, manguera flexible de descarga, y post enfriador.

El post-enfriador requiere un mínimo de 2 gpm (7.6 lpm) de agua. Enfría la descarga de aire en un mínimo de 100°F (39°C). Una válvula térmica controla esta descarga.

2.3.

Controles Eléctricos

El Panel Eléctrico Principal es una caja metálica, hermética, la cual ha sido construida de acuerdo a las Especificaciones NEMA 4.

Este Panel Eléctrico (ver Fig 2.3.1) consiste en lo siguiente: 1. Sección Indicadora del Panel 2. Autoadhesivo Peligro/Advertencia 3. Switch De Desconexión Maestro 4. Botón Parada de Emergencia 5. Switch De Desconexión Maestro IMPORTANTE! Existen varios autoadhesivos Peligro/Advertencia/Precaución en su equipo booster. Consulte la Sección 5 y familiarícese con los autoadhesivos de seguridad antes de operar el booster.

La sección indicadora del panel (ver Fig 2.3.2) consiste en lo siguiente: 1. Horómetro 2. Pantalla de visualización 3. Botón de arranque 4. Luz indicadora de encendida 5. Botón de lampara de reajuste 6. Botón de parada 7. Luz indicadora de apagada 8. Botón Parada de Emergencia

NOTA: La Luz de Fase Reversa indica que los cables de conexión con el suministro de potencia no están correctamente conectados.

NOTA: El motor eléctrico se apagará, o no partirá si alguna de las luces indicadoras descritas anteriormente está encendida. Llame al personal de mantenimiento eléctrico para que repare el problema.

OPERACIÓN

3.1.

Revisiones de Pre-Partida

1. Escurrir la humedad del prefiltro de aire de la mina.

2. Revise el drenaje en el filtro secundario.

3.2.

Mantenimiento Diario PRECAUCION! Cuando trabaje en el booster, asegúrese que el suministro de aire de la red y la potencia eléctrica estén desconectados. Además el estanque receptor de aire se debe haber drenado completamente.

La eficiencia y la vida útil del booster van a depender de la calidad de mantenimiento que este equipo reciba. Limpie las áreas de trabajo y las herramientas con solventes de limpieza. Los paños de limpieza se necesitan para evitar transferir suciedad en los componentes del booster.

Limpie el exterior del compresor antes de comenzar el trabajo.

A continuación se describe un programa de mantenimiento para el booster, en condiciones típicas de trabajo y climáticas en una faena minera.

Mantenimiento Diario (antes de la partida) 1. Lave el exterior del compresor para obtener una óptima capacidad de enfriamiento.

2. Drene la humedad desde el estanque receptor de aire y el filtro de aire que conecta a la red.

3. Revise visualmente todas las mangueras hidráulicas y de aire y sus correspondientes conexiones y fittings para cerciorarse que no hay fugas.

4. Revise el nivel de aceite del compresor y rellene si es necesario.

5. Revise la tensión de la correa del compresor. Ajuste la tensión al punto donde la correa no resbale.

6. Empuje el botón de Prueba de luces/ Re-inicio en el panel eléctrico. Todas las luces indicadoras deben iluminarse; si no sucede así llame al técnico eléctrico.

7. Revise el booster completo para verificar que no hayan pernos o tuercas sueltas.

Daily Maintenance (running) 1. Ponga atención a ruidos inusuales en el compresor y el motor eléctrico.

2. Revise posibles fugas en los componentes hidráulicos y de aire. Cualquier componente o línea dañada debe ser reparada por un técnico mecánico inmediatamente.

3. Revise la presión a la cual el compresor descarga automáticamente. Ver el Manual de Mantenimiento (Válvula piloto de descarga) para información del procedimiento de ajuste.

4. Asegúrese que la presión de aceite del compresor permanezca estable a 15 – 50 psi (1.3 – 3.5 bar). Si la presión es menor, llame al técnico mecánico.

3.3.

Partida 1. Complete todas las revisiones de pre-partida en el equipo de perforación y en el booster.

2. Cierre la descarga del booster y conéctela al equipo de perforación. Instale el elemento de sujeción de la manguera.

3. Conecte el suministro de aire y agua de la red en las entradas correspondientes. Instale los elementos de sujeción de las mangueras.

4. Abra la conexión del aire de la red y las válvulas de entrada de agua para permitir el flujo al booster.

5. Presione el botón “Prueba de Luces/ Re-inicio” en el panel para verificar que todas las luces están funcionando. Ver Fig 2.3.2 para detalles de la sección indicadora del panel.

6. Arranque el compresor mediante el botón de partida en la sección indicadora del panel.

7. Abra la válvula de descarga en el booster para permitir el flujo hacia el equipo de perforación.

4.2.

Compresor del Booster

4.2.1.

Instalación

Al instalar un compresor de reemplazo, asegúrese que el área de trabajo esté limpia y bien iluminada. El aire comprimido es esencial para limpiar los componentes y piezas.

1. Monte el compresor en su lugar y llene con aceite al nivel apropiado. Gire la unidad compresora con la mano para asegurarse que tiene movimiento libre.

2. Limpie todas las tuberías y mangueras para eliminar suciedad y trozos de rocas. Antes de re-ensamblar las líneas, mangueras y conexiones, límpielas con aire comprimido.

3. Conecte todos los controles y monitoree las líneas. Para mayores detalles consulte el Diagrama Esquemático de Aire.

4. Instale la correa y revise su alineamiento; corríjalo si es necesario. La tensión debe ajustarse al punto donde la correa no resbale.

5. Conecte las líneas de entrada y descarga.

6. Limpie y revise la operación de la válvula piloto de descarga.

7. Siga los procedimientos de Pre-Partida y de Partida cada vez que instale un compresor nuevo o reparado en el booster.

4.2.2.

Revisiones de Pre-Partida

1. Revise el apriete de todos los pernos y tuercas.

2. Inspeccione la línea de admisión de aire y verifique que esté limpia y las conexiones debidamente apretadas.

3. Revise el nivel de aceite del carter.

4. Confirme que la válvula selectora de aire está en la aplicación (modo) Atmósfera.

5. Revise el alineamiento y la tensión de la correa.

4.2.3.

Procedimiento de Partida

1. Dé arranque al motor para verificar que la rotación es correcta. El ventilador de la cercha volante (flywheel fan) debe empujar aire a la unidad compresora.

2. Continúe dando arranque al motor para cebar los pistones.

3. Haga partir el compresor y asegúrese que la presión de aceite se mantiene entre 15 – 50 psi (1.0 – 3.5 bar).

4. Manténgase alerta por si hay ruidos inusuales o vibración. Si nota algún problema, apague el compresor y revise nuevamente todos los procedimientos.

4.2.4.

Procedimiento de Mantenimiento Preliminar Recomendado

Cuando se coloca un compresor de reemplazo, nuevo o reparado; luego de las primeras 50 Horas se debe drenar y llenar con aceite nuevo, y cambiar el filtro de aceite. Posteriormente, tanto el aceite como el filtro se deben cambiar cada 250 Horas.

Luego de haber apagado el compresor las primeras veces, apriete todos los pernos, tuercas y fittings de las mangueras. Revise la tensión de la correa cada vez que apague el compresor.

4.3.

Mantenimiento Preventivo

El Mantenimiento Preventivo es necesario para optimizar la disponibilidad del booster y reducir costos por detenciones del booster debido a falla en los componentes a los cuales no se les practicó el mantenimiento preventivo recomendado.

4.3.1.

Mantenimiento Diario

1. Verifique si hay ruidos inusuales en el compresor o el motor.

2. Revise el nivel del aceite hidráulico.

SEGURIDAD PRECAUCION! Cuando trabaje en el booster, asegúrese de desconectar el aire de la red y la potencia eléctrica. Además de drenar completamente el estanque receptor de aire.

Lea todas las instrucciones de este Manual, antes de operar o de realizar alguna reparación en el booster. Se deben cumplir todas las Reglas Generales de Seguridad Locales.

5.1.1.

Instrucciones Generales de Seguridad

1. Al operar o reparar el booster, observe todos los procedimientos de seguridad.

2. Familiarícese completamente con los procedimientos de operación y de mantenimiento antes de inspeccionar, operar, o hacer mantenimiento al booster. Usted debe leer y entender todos los procedimientos descritos en cada manual.

3. No inspeccione ni repare ningún componente sin antes haber apagado correctamente el booster, y desconectado el suministro de aire.

4. Las personas que no son esenciales deben mantenerse alejadas del área de mantenimiento.

5. Cualquier modificación en los controles o en los procedimientos de operación deben registrarse claramente y todos los operadores deben estar informados de los cambios.

6. Frecuentemente inspeccione las mangueras, los elementos de sujeción, fittings y líneas de suministro por si hubiera desgaste o daño. Repare o reemplace cualquier componente inmediatamente.

7. Verifique frecuentemente la correcta tensión de todos los pernos, tuercas, y ajustes.

Revise los fluidos en los intervalos recomendados.

8. Desconecte la potencia eléctrica antes de lavar el booster o el equipo de perforación.

9. Use ropa y elementos de seguridad siempre que esté operando, diagnosticando, inspeccionando o reparando el equipo.

10. No ejecute trabajos de soldadura ni de esmerilado cerca de los cables eléctricos ni de las líneas de suministro.

11. Mantenga sus manos, ropa, paños de limpieza y herramientas alejados de las partes movibles del equipo.

12. Mantenga todos los elementos de seguridad y protección en su lugar. No opere el booster con la puerta del panel eléctrico abierta.

13. Mantenga las instrucciones de seguridad y los autoadhesivos limpios. Reemplácelos si no están claramente legibles.

5.1.2.

Instrucciones de Seguridad para Conducir y Operar el Equipo

1. No mueva el booster si usted sospecha que el terreno está inestable o si la visibilidad está obstruida de alguna forma.

2. Revise las distancias, tolerancias y las posibles restricciones aéreas y del suelo, antes de mover el booster. No opere el booster sobre cables eléctricos, ni mangueras presurizadas, ni permita que otros vehículos cercanos lo hagan, bajo ninguna circunstancia.

3. Verifique que todos los controles del booster estén en la posición de desactivado (off) antes de conectar la potencia eléctrica, el aire de la red y la línea de suministro de agua.

4. Inspeccione posibles daños que pueda tener el booster. Repare inmediatamente cualquier componente dañado, antes de hacer partir el booster.

5. Verifique que los elementos de sujeción de la manguera de agua están en su lugar, a fin de minimizar la vibración.

6. Antes de activar el sistema hidráulico del booster, cerciórese que no haya personas cerca. Las fugas a alta presión de los componentes hidráulicos, neumáticos, y del sistema de agua, pueden causar serios accidentes.

5.1.3.

Instrucciones de Seguridad en el Mantenimiento

1. Siga todos los procedimientos de servicio técnico en los intervalos recomendados.

2. Desconecte la fuente de poder eléctrica, el aire de la red y el suministro de agua antes de hacer una inspección, diagnóstico o alguna reparación al booster. Alivie las presiones en los sistemas hidráulicos y neumáticos antes de hacer cualquier reparación.

3. Los sistemas de alto voltaje (380V, 575V, 460V, etc.) deben ser inspeccionados y reparados sólo por técnicos eléctricos calificados.

4. No reconecte ni repare cables sueltos o dañados que se encuentren conectados al sistema eléctrico del booster.

5. Asegúrese que las personas que inspeccionan o reparan circuitos eléctricos estén en un lugar seco y en una posición segura.

6. Las fugas a alta presión de los sistemas hidráulicos y neumáticos pueden causar serios accidentes. Use ropa y elementos protectores al inspeccionar posibles fugas.

7. Antes de sacar los componentes hidráulicos, asegúrelos con elementos de sujeción apropiados, para evitar que estos componentes se suelten cuando pierden presión.

8. Coloque letreros en el booster para evitar partidas accidentales. Los letreros deben estar claramente visibles para alertar a todos que se está realizando una inspección, mantenimiento o reparación.

9. Marque o ponga etiquetas en las mangueras, cables o componentes para hacer más fácil la re-instalación.

10. Ponga tapas o tapones en todas las conexiones hidráulicas o neumáticas inmediatamente después de sacarlas del equipo.

11. Tape las entradas de los estanques o reservorios que contienen fluidos, para evitar que se introduzcan materias extrañas (contaminación) a los componentes mientras se realiza el mantenimiento.

12. Limpie los residuos de grasa de los fittings con un paño limpio antes de engrasar nuevamente.

5.1.4.

Seguridad en el Mantenimiento y la Reparación

1. Observe las instrucciones de limpieza y seguridad durante cualquier tipo de mantenimiento o reparación. Mantenga todos los líquidos inflamables en recipientes tapados. Deseche los paños de limpieza saturados con líquidos inflamables. Obedezca las regulaciones para prevenir incendios.

2. Antes de sacar cualquier componente del booster, asegúrese que el booster esté en posición segura para trabajar. Use las herramientas y elementos necesarios para para prevenir que las piezas se desprendan o se caigan.

3. Desconecte el suministro de aire que va al equipo de perforación y alivie la presión del sistema de aire antes de hacer mantenimiento al sistema de aire.

Puntos de Levante

Para levantar el booster: Use los puntos de levante designados.

Busque este adhesivo en la estructura para ubicar los puntos de levante. Existen cáncamos de levante en la estructura del booster para ser levantado desde ahí. Levantar el booster en forma inadecuada, puede causar graves heridas a las personas, además de daños importantes al booster.

Recordatorios de Seguridad

Verifique que el booster esté en lugar y posición seguros para trabajar en inspección, mantenimiento o reparación. Utilice las patas de apoyo para mejor estabilidad.

Todos los programas de mantenimiento deben seguirse en los intervalos recomendados.

ADVERTENCIA! El compresor booster debe ser reparado solamente por técnicos calificados.

No se debe hacer ningún intento por modificar o alterar esta unidad sin la autorización por escrito de Cubex. Cualquier alteración no autorizada puede causar serios accidentes y daños en el booster.

Cada vez que deba trabajar en el booster, desconecte el suministro de aire de la red y verifique que el sistema se ha drenado completamente antes de abrir alguna conexión. El aire comprimido tiene una tremenda energía, la que se libera a la atmósfera al abrir alguna conexión. Se deben seguir los procedimientos apropiados a fin de evitar serios accidentes.

Mantenimiento Preventivo PRECAUCION!

Cuando trabaje en el booster, asegúrese que el suministro de aire de la red y la potencia eléctrica estén desconectados. Además que el estanque receptor de aire se haya drenado completamente.

La eficiencia y la vida útil del booster van a depender de la calidad de mantenimiento que este equipo reciba. Limpie las áreas de trabajo y las herramientas con solventes de limpieza. Los paños de limpieza se necesitan para evitar transferir suciedad en los componentes del booster.

Limpie el exterior del compresor antes de comenzar el trabajo.

A continuación se describe un programa de mantenimiento para el booster, en condiciones típicas de trabajo y climáticas en una faena minera.

Mantenimiento Diario (antes de la partida) 1. Lave el exterior del compresor para obtener una óptima capacidad de enfriamiento..

2. Drene la humedad desde el estanque receptor de aire y el filtro de aire que conecta a la red.

3. Revise visualmente todas las mangueras hidráulicas y de aire y sus correspondientes conexiones y fittings para cerciorarse que no hay fugas.

4. Revise el nivel de aceite del compresor y rellene si es necesario.

5. Revise la tensión de la correa del compresor. Ajuste la tensión al punto donde la correa no resbale.

6. Empuje el botón de Prueba de luces/ Re-inicio en el panel eléctrico. Todas las luces indicadoras deben iluminarse; si no sucede así llame al técnico eléctrico.

7. Revise el booster completo para verificar que no hayan pernos o tuercas sueltas.

Mantenimiento Diario (Booster Funcionando) 1. Ponga atención a ruidos inusuales en el compresor y el motor eléctrico.

2. Revise posibles fugas en los componentes hidráulicos y de aire. Cualquier componente o línea dañada debe ser reparada por un técnico mecánico inmediatamente.

3. Revise la presión a la cual el compresor descarga automáticamente. Ver el Manual de Mantenimiento (Válvula piloto de descarga) para información del procedimiento de ajuste.

4. Asegúrese que la presión de aceite del compresor permanezca estable a 15 – 50 psi (1.3 – 3.5 bar). Si la presión es menor, llame al técnico mecánico.

250 Horas Mantenimiento 1. Repita todos los pasos del Mantenimiento Diario.

2. Drene e inspeccione el filtro de aire de la red; reemplace el elemento de filtro si es necesario.

3. Revise el filtro de aire de la atmósfera: reemplácelo si es necesario.

4. Revise la operación en la entrada de la válvula de 3 vías; limpie si es necesario.

5. Active la válvula de seguridad en el estanque receptor de aire para verificar que su operación es correcta. Drene el agua desde el estanque receptor de aire.

6. Engrase los rodamientos (cojinetes) del motor eléctrico. (sólo un técnico eléctrico).

PRECAUCION! El exceso de grasa puede causar recalentamiento en el motor.

7.

Cambie el filtro y el aceite del compresor. Use Aceite de compresor Esso 122, o equivalente (4.5 qts – 5L).

8. Saque, desarme, limpie e inspeccione la válvula piloto de descarga.

9. Saque e inspeccione las válvulas de succión. Sumerja el sello de fieltro en aceite lubricante antes de instalarlo. Cubra los hilos del buje con un compuesto antiatascamiento. Apriete el buje a 100 ft-lbs (136 N-m).

MANTENIMIENTO DE LOS COMPONENTES

2.1.

Válvulas

Una válvula de succión y una válvula de descarga están ubicadas en asientos individuales en cada cilindro. Consulte el Manual de Partes para ver el diagrama de la válvula.

Las válvulas de succión y descarga son partes vitales en el compresor y se deben limpiar e inspeccionar regularmente. Los factores que regulan la frecuencia de inspección y limpieza van a depender de la calidad y tendencia a la carbonización del aceite que se use, la temperatura de operación, y la limpieza que exista en el aire de succión.

Hasta que su propia experiencia le indique los intervalos de limpieza adecuados, inspeccione y limpie las válvulas cada 250 horas, o una vez por mes (lo que ocurra primero). Si el rendimiento del compresor baja o si las válvulas se calientan o se ponen ruidosas, detenga el compresor e inspeccione todas las válvulas. NO CONTINUE OPERANDO EL COMPRESOR, YA QUE PUEDE CAUSAR UN SERIO DAÑO. Nunca opere el compresor con piezas de la válvula quebradas o con mucho desgaste. Mantenga un stock de ensambles de válvulas y empaquetaduras, a fin de reducir el tiempo de detención debido a problemas en las válvulas.

La válvula de succión está equipada con un dispositivo descargador. El estanque receptor de aire obliga a la válvula a mantenerse abierta. Este dispositivo de la válvula requiere desarme e inspección. Las partes desgastadas o dañadas deben reemplazarse inmediatamente.

2.2.

Compresor del Booster CP48301

2.2.1.

Instalación

Al instalar un compresor de reemplazo en el booster, asegúrese que el área de trabajo esté limpia y bien iluminada. El aire comprimido es esencial para limpiar los componentes y piezas.

1. Monte el compresor en su lugar y llene con aceite al nivel apropiado. Gire la unidad compresora con la mano para asegurarse que tiene movimiento libre.

2. Limpie todas las tuberías y mangueras para eliminar suciedad y trozos de rocas.

Antes de re-ensamblar las líneas, mangueras y conexiones, límpielas con aire coomprimido.

3. Conecte todos los controles y monitoree las líneas. Para mayores detalles consulte el Diagrama Esquemático de Aire.

4. Instale la correa y revise su alineamiento; corríjalo si es necesario. La tensión debe ajustarse al punto donde la correa no resbale.

5. Conecte las líneas de entrada y descarga.

6. Limpie y revise la operación de la válvula piloto de descarga.

7. Siga los procedimientos de Pre-Partida y de Partida cada vez que instale un compresor nuevo o reparado en el booster.

2.2.2.

Revisiones de Pre-Partida 1. Revise el apriete de todos los pernos y tuercas.

2. Inspeccione la línea de admisión de aire y verifique que esté limpia y las conexiones debidamente apretadas.

3. Revise el nivel de aceite del carter.

4. Confirme que la válvula selectora de aire está en la aplicación (modo) Atmósfera.

5. Revise el alineamiento y la tensión de la correa.

6. Gire la unidad compresora con la mano para verificar su libre movimiento.

2.2.3.

Procedimientos de Partida 1. Dé arranque al motor para revisar que la rotación es correcta. El ventilador de la cercha volante (flywheel fan) debe empujar aire a la unidad compresora.

2. Continúe dando arranque al motor para cebar los pistones.

3. Haga partir el compresor y asegúrese que la presión de aceite se mantiene entre 15 – 50 psi (1.0 – 3.5 bar).

4. Manténgase alerta por si hay ruidos inusuales o vibración. Si nota algún problema, apague el compresor y revise nuevamente todos los procedimientos.

Procedimiento de Mantenimiento Preliminar Recomendado

Cuando se coloca un compresor de reemplazo, nuevo o reparado, luego de las primeras 50 Horas se debe drenar y llenar con aceite nuevo, y cambiar el filtro de aceite. Posteriormente, tanto el aceite como el filtro se deben cambiar cada 250 Horas.

Luego de haber apagado el compresor las primeras veces, apriete todos los pernos, tuercas y fittings de las mangueras. Revise la tensión de la correa cada vez que apague el compresor.

2.3.

Válvula Piloto de Descarga CP48001-AUX

Esta válvula piloto descarga el compresor cuando se ha alcanzado una pre-determinada presión.

La válvula piloto de descarga controla automáticamente la acción constante, o la carga/descarga del compresor. Esta válvula tiene un orificio de alivio para aliviar la presión desde el conjunto descargador una vez que la presión a caído al punto de calibración bajo.

2.3.1.

Mantenimiento Preventivo

La carbonización puede causar atascamiento en la válvula. Saque y limpie la válvula cada 250 horas. Inspeccione todas las piezas y vea si hay daño o desgaste. Se recomienda el reemplazo de la válvula completa, en caso de daño. Re-ensamble la válvula después de una positiva inspección y re-instálela. Ajuste las calibraciones como se describe en: “Procedimientos de Calibración de las Válvulas”.

ADVERTENCIA! Desconecte la potencia eléctrica, el aire de la red, el suministro de agua, y alivie la presión del estanque receptor de aire, antes de realizar algún procedimiento de Mantenimiento Preventivo, y/o reparación al booster.

2.3.2.

Procedimientos de Calibración de la Válvula Piloto de Descarga

Los rangos de presión descritos son para perforar a 350 psi (24.1 bar).

1. Esta válvula se mantiene cerrada mediante la presión de un resorte. La presión del resorte se ajusta mediante el tornillo de ajuste que está arriba y que se mantiene en su lugar con la tuerca de fijación. Esto controlará el punto de presión de descarga. Ajuste el tornillo en sentido del reloj a una presión menor a la que el compresor descarga. El punto de calibración de la presión de descarga debe ser de 370 psi (25.5 bar).

2. Revise nuevamente la presión a la cual el compresor carga. Si esta presión es menor a 320 psi (22.1 bar), ajuste nuevamente. Para ajustar, saque el tornillo, la tuerca y la tapa. Agregue un suplemento (laina) para aliviar la presión del resorte y repita el Paso 1. Ver Fig 2.2 and Fig 2.3.

Sensor de Temperatura (Normalmente Cerrado) CP19020

Este sensor térmico apagará el motor del compresor cuando el punto de calibración de temperatura se alcance. Se puede ajustar manualmente.

2.4.1.

Ajuste del Sensor

Este sensor térmico ha sido calibrado en fábrica para apagar el compresor cuando la temperatura de descarga alcance 375F (190C). Para ajustarlo, gire el tornillo de ajuste en sentido contra el reloj para aumentar la temperatura de desactivación y en sentido del reloj para disminuir la temperatura de desactivación. Una vuelta completa equivale aproximadamente a una diferencia de 75F (24C). Para calibrar este sensor, sumérjalo en aceite y caliente el aceite a 375F (190C). Usando un ohmetro conectado como se muestra en la Fig 2.5, ajuste hasta que los contactos del sensor abran, o que la resistencia sea infinita.

PRECAUCION! Drene el post-enfriador, cuando existan condiciones climáticas de muy baja temperatura (congelamiento).

Válvula Reguladora de Flujo de Agua CP70016

Esta válvula regula el flujo de agua en el intercambiador de calor para mantener la temperatura deseada. La válvula abrirá al aumentar la temperatura en el sensor. No se requiere potencia externa, debido al uso de un bulbo capilar que transmite la señal.

2.5.1.

Ajuste de la Válvula

Esta válvula se puede ajustar con un destornillador. Gire el tornillo de ajuste en sentido del reloj para disminuir la temperatura de abertura; y gire el tornillo en sentido contra el reloj para aumentar la temperatura de abertura. La calibración en fábrica es de 125F (52C), aproximadamente.

Circuito Post-Enfriador CP001164

El post-enfriador enfría el aire descargado desde el compresor. La correcta temperatura del aire es esencial para extender la vida útil del equipo de perforación. La válvula de temperatura asegura un adecuado flujo de agua a través del post-enfriador durante todas las condiciones de operación.

PRECAUCION! Drene el post-enfriador cuando esté expuesto a condiciones climáticas extremas (congelamiento).

Si el suministro de agua se desconecta mientra el compresor está operando, el post-enfriador se puede recalentar, y la temperatura puede subir sobre 375F (190C). Esto ocurre en situaciones de baja presión del aire de la red. Y si después del recalentamiento el flujo de agua se activa, el enfriamiento instantáneo crea un shock térmico que puede dañar el post-enfriador.

2.6.1.

Ajuste de la Válvula Reguladora de Temperatura

Cuando el equipo de perforación está operando a alta presión, el operador debe monitorear ocasionalmente la válvula reguladora de temperatura para asegurarse que el agua está fluyendo desde la manguera de descarga. Cuando el operador desactiva el aire de perforación, el compresor descarga, causando que la presión de aire de descarga baje. Esto reduce la temperatura del aire de descarga. La válvula reguladora de temperatura percibe este cambio en la temperatura y detiene el flujo de agua.

Ajuste la temperatura de la válvula como sigue: 1. Localice la válvula reguladora de temperatura (See Fig 2.7).

2. Ajuste la válvula para que abra el circuito cuando el agua de descarga es de aproximadamente 125F (52C). Gire el tornillo de ajuste en sentido del reloj para disminuir el punto de calibración. Gire el tornillo en sentido contrario al reloj para aumentar el punto de calibración de la temperatura.

3. Verifique que se está descargando el agua cuando el compresor está operando a alta presión.

2.6.2.

Mantenimiento del Post- Enfriador

El mantenimiento del post-enfriador debe realizarse cada 1000 horas. Use una concentración suave de limpiador para intercambiadores de calor. Enjuague con agua limpia desde la salida lateral del agua side.

Filtros de Aire de la Red CP000292 and CP000293

2.7.1.

Mantenimiento Regular

Se requiere un mantenimiento regular que consiste en drenar la condensación de descarga.

Limpie la suciedad acumulada abriendo la válvula manual de drenaje cada 250 horas o una vez al mes (lo que ocurra primero).

Desarme y haga mantenimiento a los filtros al menos cada 250 horas. Los drenajes pueden operar a una descarga por minuto. La operación a más que una descarga por minuto indican que se requiere un mantenimiento más frecuente.

1. Cierre la entrada de la válvula al lado de los filtros para aislar el suministro de aire.

2. Despresurice la carcaza de los filtros abriendo las válvulas de drenaje manual, verificando que no están obstruidas.

3. Desconecte el drenaje externo.

4. Desconecte la carcaza del filtro.

5. Limpie la carcaza del separador.

6. Inspeccione los anillos-O y las empaquetaduras y reemplace lo que sea necesario.

Limpie el cuerpo del filtro.

7. Inspeccione o reemplace los filtros (si es necesario) y re-ensamble.

8. Registre la fecha de reemplazo.

9. Limpie el drenaje externo y reemplace los sellos si es necesario.

10. Conecte el drenaje.

11. Reconecte las líneas de drenaje, y cierre la válvula de drenaje manual.

12. Abra la válvula de aire (IN) y vea si hay fugas en los filtros.
