Introduction and warranty - 0 0. 1 Time allowance All times listed in this publication are the result of careful study of the operation concerned. They represent the average time one trained dealer mechanic, of normal ability has taken to carry out the operation in a typical dealership, using standard workshop tooling and equipment, located for reasonable access and working conditions. They DO NOT include any travelling to or from the farm or site.

The times given include difficulties encountered working on used as opposed to new machines, and are based on meth­ ods and recommended Massey Ferguson special tools shown in the Workshop Manual. No power tools are used and no short cuts are taken.

The times are based on a second-hand machine in reasonable condition properly maintained using approved parts. Extra time may be required to deal with seized, rusted or damaged parts. This must be claimed for separately when carrying out warranty work.

Allowances are included in the operation times quoted for setting up the combine in the workshop, obtaining all tools and parts, cleaning and testing after repair.

Time required to remove and install mounted equipment which interferes with performing a specific job, is NOT INCLUDED in the time allowed.

The times given in this repair time schedule are for a complete job from start to finish. Where access has been gained for an adjacent repair, only the additional time for the second repair will be accepted and not the total time for the two failures.

The term 'ADD' indicates that the time may be added to the main repair time if required, e.g. diagnosis time, pressure testing.

0.3.1 Review of Times If you find an improvement in method which reduces the time of an operation or if you find you cannot meet an operation time after more than two attempts using the recommended method, the REQUEST FOR REVIEW OF TIME SCHEDULE form must be submitted quoting all relevant details. Photo copy the form and send it to the following address: AGCO Limited, Product Reliability Department, Abbey Park Stoneleigh, Kenilworth, England CVS 2TO These requests will not be actioned unless the information asked for is provided in full on the form provided. Any amend­ ments will be advised by service bulletin.

0.3.2 Amendments All times contained in this schedule are based on the latest information available at the time of publication. The right is reserved to publish revisions at any time. All operation times are subject to amendment if design, method or technique changes result in alteration of time taken.

Introduction and warranty - 0 0.4 Warranty Claims The Repair Time Schedule (RTS) plays a very important part in the submission of warranty claims on Massey Ferguson products. It contains the allowed repair times and failure codes necessary to complete the claim form, and in addition it is used for analysis purposes.

In dealing with warranty, there is a set of procedures laid down by AGCO. These must be understood by reading the Warranty Manual and related Service Bulletins, they contain all the instructions on how to claim.

Have this Repair Time Schedule to hand when making out your claim. USE IT. AGCO will be basing its payment to you on it.

Having identified the part causing the failure, turn to the appropriate section/page in the the Repair Time Schedule and look up the culprit part. Using the part number you can select the relevant six digit failure code number and record it in the box 'Failure Code' on the form.
