Installation and removal of attachment parts
Raise the safety lever.
Disconnect hydraulic hose 11, hydraulic hose 12 and, if present, hydraulic hoses 13 and 14 from the pipes on the stick.
Close off open lines immediately to prevent dirt infiltration. Support the grapple so that it is stable.
Remove the plate 6 and carefully knock out pin 4. If necessary, start the engine and raise the attachment slightly.
3.5.5Mechanical quick change adapter (option)
3.5.5.1Safety instructions
–Make sure that there are no persons in the attachment area during the installation and removal of working tools. Move the attachment as slowly as possible when installing or removing a working tool. Familiarize yourself with the operating principle of the quick change adapter before installing or removing any working tools.
–Always keep the working tool as close to the ground as possible when locking and unlocking to avoid dangerous movements.
–If necessary, use a platform to reach the locking pins and connections. Never stand on the working tool or attachment.
–Each time a working tool is changed, the machine operator must ensure that the locking pins for the quick change adapter are inserted in the proper bore holes on the working tool and that the working tool is attached properly. Check visually to ensure that the working tool is tightly seated.
–In addition, carry out a work cycle with the tool, but only lift the tool to the point where the seating can be checked, for example the pin in the pin eye, by curling the bucket in and out.
–The locking screw must be checked daily to ensure it is still seated tightly.
–The load carrying capacity of the quick change adapter or the integrated load hook can exceed or fall below the load carrying capacity of the carrier machine. During operation, make sure that the values given in the load chart and the technical data of the carrier machine are adhered to.

Bring the equipment into position:
Fig. 3-66 Positioning the attachment
The working tool must be in stable position or lying loosely on the ground. Move the stick and working tool into position. Retract the bucket cylinder fully.
To unlock the quick change adapter:
6 Pick-up hook for working tool Danger!
Danger of injury!
Ensure that the attachment or tool cannot be moved by others when this action is being carried out.
Approach the quick change adapter from the side and unscrew the locking screw 2 from the locking pin 1 using the crank 3 (see Fig. 3-65).
Insert the crank 3 in the locking pin 1 and turn to the left (counterclockwise) until both locking pins 1 are retracted completely.
Picking up the working tool:
Fig. 3-67 Picking up the working tool
Move the quick change adapter into a position that allows the working tool to be picked up with the pick-up hook.
