3.7 Soundproofing

If modifications are carried out on any parts whose operation produces noise, e.g. • engine • exhaust system • air intake system • tires • Noise absorbing cover, etc. sound level measurements must be made.

To prevent modifications from changing the vehicle's sound levels, it must be ensured that interior sound levels are reduced when planning bodies. • Noise-insulating parts fitted as standard must not be removed or modified. • The level of interior noise must not be adversely affected.
